Hello from Vancouver Island, BC, Canada.

I found you discussing the enlightenment coming in small parts connected with me a bit. I believe I may have experienced a little moment of illumination and then returned back to normal as you said, but a little bit changed. It's quite a long story so I'll shorten it; I was very depressed for a long time, it got very dangerous for me at one point. But then I discovered the stories of Arthurian legends, the knights and the druids. It sparked something inside me that had been dark for so long, I felt a rush and my heart suddenly leapt out. I went out on a weekend trip to Tintagel, a place with a lot of Arthurian history to it. I have never felt like I did then. My mind normally races but it slowed down, time and the world around me slowed down and It was as if I could finally see the true beauty of everything around me. I sat on the rocks down by Merlins cave, looking down at the people below, feeling the wind in my hair and the sun touching everything in sight, I just sat there and breathed, painted the lands before me, and any burdens I had were gone. I've never felt to purely serene and connected to the world in my entire life. My heart sang and my entire being connected to this place like I never could have imagined. Then I had go home. Things returned back to normal, that trip was just a moment of illumination for me. However I came out of that a little changed. I now look out of the window of the bus to and from college every day, where once I found the scenery repetitive and dull; I smiled to see all of the nature I pass by. My mind slows down a bit now, my depression isn't cured (it can't ever be fully cured I'm sure) but I have never felt so little of an effect from it on me - I'm no longer a danger to myself, because I know there are things to live for that I had never noticed before, so much to learn and so many things that my heart calls out for! Sorry this was quite a long message, but that moment for me was just beyond beautiful, words cannot describe that turning point for me, and beginning this path of druidry and listening to your Tea With a Druid series is thanks to my discovering of the Arthurian tales and the history of the druids. I come from an atheist background, with parents who would look down upon and ridicule me for wanting to follow this path, but ever since Tintagel - I know that I need to open up and seek out what my heart and soul begs for, it brings positivity and heals in a way I didn't think I could be healed.

Came back to this video to comment after watching it earlier this week. While the whole conversation resonated with me (your gentle tone spoke to me just as much as the words actually being said) , what drew my attention the moment I hit play was the lovely wall of books in the background. My husband and I love books. We love reading them. Collecting them. We give them as gifts. Every single room in our house has books in them. My spiritual space has them as well. There is a saying that "a room without books is like a body without a soul". I find that I can't feel comfortable in a space without them. It feels cold.
I wanted to mention it because, whether intended or not, your books immediately made me feel at home in this video. It made my soul feel warm and happy. 🥰🥰🥰
Looking forward to watching the rest of this series. 😊

Hello, This is the first time I have tuned in it would seem that I was supposed to be guided here at a time that is very significant for me. Thank you for helping me to see that the current issues I have can be handled in a much loving way and that I can have the outcome I seek without acrimony. Bliss. Lioness

I am in Blackpool. 20+ years practicing solitary pagan. Initially followed a Wiccan path but quickly realised this was not for me. Then started calling myself an eclectic witch but I knew it wasn't right. I feel like I have been looking for so long when my second youngest child was born and has a natural fascination with nature and trees and stones. I would call him my 'Little Druid'. On numerous meditations I would ask for guidance and received none. I stopped asking and suddenly I was greeted by who I believe was Elen of the Ways. That is how she presented herself and she took me elsewhere. Since then I have dipped in and out of researching Druidry over 6-8months. Now I truly believe this is the path i being guided to. A true spiritual path that fits not only my beliefs but my practices but with community and love. I hope to take the courses in coming months and years. Thank you.

so lovely ...and I love the distinction between enlightment and wisdom,I felt the same thing with Boedhism, as a far away goal hard to reach and how relaxing the approach of wisdom that grows organically ..../I\

I loved this talk! It is rare for me to be able to sit and watch something for more than a few minutes without having to be reading or painting or crocheting at the same time, but you have had me mesmerized the whole time! You are a very captivating speaker. I have just decided to follow the Druid path, and my life has already started to bloom. I have access to books and websites, but this is the first time i've found a person offering information so I am so grateful!

Your video popped up alongside a TH-camr I watch and enjoy. I'm thrilled I clicked on this video. You have a wonderful way of speaking that was informative and welcoming. I'm on my own spiritual journey which surprises me. I agree with the 'community' desire that the participants to the retreat you had were looking for. Spot on for almost anything we endeavor it seems, when there is a community aspect about it that nurtures you it fulfills you in ways you didn't even know were lacking. I look forward to catching your FB live on Monday. I'm in California.

interesting that there isn't a central meditation for everyone to share is an important experience in the later videos i think it bonds people. insightful take on the different versions of the tale of taliesin. provisional living does not sound good, we need to live right now. the way in which the video broke up and pixellated minutes before the end was an unintentionally effective surreal moment. it is fascinating to see human face break up into squares, maybe you should do it more often.

I had a friend who became enlightened by chanting and heavily meditating. Her brain lit up with a white fire. She struggled for months to stay in her body. Outside stimulus was out of the question. Two friends were recruited to accompany her at most occaisions. Lost its attraction for me.
