Two handed grip on pistols first started appearing in the 1950's. Previously all soldiers used to hold them with one hand. So this actually is accurate to the time period.

In Brothers In Arms Hell's Highway sometimes you could shoot a ricochet to an enemy soldier's bullet. It flew off the head of the soldier then you could take the headshot. It's not something new.
I keep trying to play bf4 but the only people playing it are try hard veterans who have been level 140 since 1 week after launch and I cant compete. I just want to play for fun but they are like robots, they dont miss and they play like they're on rails. I would probably need crack to compete with them.

Well, i heard from Westie and some other sources that 1. There's no visual recoil, only true recoil, and that there's a new Bullet Drag system for longer ranges where wind makes your bullet turn in different directions.
Thank god. Visual recoil is killing me. I've literally quit playing BF4, because I aim at someone and it doesn't hit at all. It's aids.

That's a pretty popular misconception. Trench warfare mainly characterized the Western front, but their were plenty of back and forth battles going on elsewhere, and at other times before and after the offensive stalemate.

I think it's amazing that we can now, get a glimpse of what close quarter fighting was like in WW1. Even though this is just a game, look at the graphics! It almost looks real in a way. There were a decent amount of automatic weapons in WWI. The smaller SMG's came towards the end of the war, 1918. It was mostly bolt action and some heavy machine guns...The weapons in BF1 are correct to the time period but just bolt action rifles would not please most players.

The most badass thing I've seen done is a guy was in his jet in bf4, jumped out of the cockpit mid flight, pulled out his anti ordinance and shot down the jet tailing him (all in midair), then someone reentered the cockpit and survived (this was a youtube video)

Good video and audio and all, but why everyone use MP-18 it was made till the end of war. Most of fights was in trenches and soldier just sit there and shot in enemy. Soldiers couldn't use self-loading rifles because it wasn't made in begin of XX century. DICE just made another Battlefield but without AK-47 and M-16 i think, but i hope singleplayer won't have this sins.
The kids who play these games haw such low skill that using a rifle would be too difficult for them...

I think there should be a limit on how many SMG's are on one team, lets say 35% of the team can have SMG's and 25% can use LMG's but you sprint slower with an LMG but it comes with a bipod, and the rest can use bolt action rifles. Oh, and make the SMG's have A LOT more recoil so the COD kids can actually learn some skill instead of just firing full auto in the corner of a building and T-Bag there opponent afterwards.
And the rest of the team can also use shotguns.

Near the end of the war automatic weapons were being mass produced enough to equip most soldiers with one.
Most of the WAR was bolt action this might as well be WW2
Most the the bolt action rifles where used in the muddy trenches cause they were reliable they didn't see much use in urban combat
The game is beautiful but the gameplay seems to be a WWII or modern-day combat simulator. I'm disappointed as it delivers the same experience we were already used to.

I expected that BF1 would change the way we were used to play shooter games. Instead, it delivers the same experience we already had on previous games. Parachuting from airplanes, automated weapons, perks, high speed tanks (back than they really sucked)... there is nothing really new except for the scenario and zepelins.

Pretty much all of The Great War was fought in a trench, the only front you might have not seen that much trench fighting would be on the Eastern Front, but they had to dig in at times over on that Front too. Now when the war began no one really used trenches because they were still on a Napoleonic War basis, where they tried to fight in lines, columns, and other formations that you would see during the Napoleonic Wars. They later had to go to the trench system because of how half an army can be killed in just one battle. So the Western Front was all trenches after 1914, to try and keep as much men alive and fighting.

The weapons used in that game actually exist and weren't just one off prototypes and blueprints. They're making the first big label game of WW1 and it pretty much looks like a fucking WW2 game. The BF4 and 3 story lines are also both in the future, as WW1 actually fucking happened.

The thing about the rifles is they can be a one shot kill according to their range. Like if you're using a short range rifle, the closer to its short range sweet spot you are, the more likely you are to get a 1 shot kill.

OhhChezy PC or nothing. Simply every aspect is better than a console, and BF has always been designed around a mouse/keyboard control style. That's why they always have to add an aim assist in that console versions.
