  • Welcome to Jafffa Adventures where Jill and Terry take off for a half year trip through the remote regions of South Australia and Western Australia. The genesis of the trip was the solar eclipse at Exmouth on April 20th, but we decided to turn the adventure into half a year on the road visiting the most remote places we can get. In this video we continue to explore the remote and lesser known coastal 4WD tracks of western South Australia. We cross the vermin proof fence (the dingo fence) and visit Dingo fence beach on our travels west. We will show you how to get to all these great remote spots including Wahgunyah Conservation Reserve, a super remote and epically beautiful park.
If southwest South Australia coastal tracks are not on your bucket list, they should be!!
This one is not to be missed if you are in the area and you enjoy sand driving. You must be appropriately prepared to take on very soft sand conditions, but if you are you will not be disappointed.
If you like overlanding, if you like remote unspoiled places, if you like 4WD action, then this is the place to be.

You're one persistent 4WDer. Continuing on, on those very tight tracks. A real bush bashing drive. I can relate. It's the unknown that drives us. "What's over the next hill?", or "what's around the corner?". But I was cringing every time you brush against bushes or branches. Your cladding are paying themselves 10-fold. A great discovery drive. 👍

Yes, I’d be up for a new paint job if it were not for the Rhinohide. We are still out here discovering mate, currently west of well 21 on the Canning Stock Route loving the discovery. Cheers👍😎

Thanks Craig, we certainly did not meet another person out there, let alone a solo couple in their late 50’s😉😂. All good, we are prepared and loving what we are doing. Thank you mate, for following along with us. That is important to us. Cheers👍😎

Ever since first finding out about the dog fence as a young bloke, I always wanted to travel the length of it. I did actually consider taking on a contract to maintain part of it. Now days I believe the Government just pays the stations along the way to look after it. Now that I'm unemployed, maybe I should find out if they still have any contracts "running the fence"?? Funnily enough we used to know the owner of Omicron Station in the South Western Corner of Qld. (the Cameron Corner store & camp ground that his daughter & son inlaw ran) anyway & he has a long section of the fence as his boundary & of course is the State line (some great memories there & in Tibooburra) so enough of that!! Thanks once again for some great shots, thanks for sharing (now I've gotta go make some enquires about the dog fence 🤣🤣Cheers!! 👍

G'day Terry and Jill. As soon as I saw that camp site I knew it looked vaguely familiar... I guess in a year or 3 that won't even be reachable anymore with those shifting sands. Another great episode. The end (or start) of the dog track is a surprise..... they certainly made sure do dingo is getting around that sucker....

Agree, it’s not going to be too long before the track disappears entirely. Thanks for watching mate, we sincerely appreciate it.😎👍

Yep, that’s where I first saw it but he does not provide maps and location so you have to do a bit of guessing. I’m glad the maps are useful for you. Enjoy your travels when you get out there Andrew. Cheers👍😎

Kudos to you for sticking on that track. I bet you're glad have body armour for your LC200. I would have turned around, and looked for another route to that beach and dog fence.😁 I wonder if your little hitch-hiker is also enjoying the trip? 😁

      @JafffaAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

Thanks mate, definitely glad I have the armour, I’d need a new paint job when we got home if I didn’t 😉. Sadly, the mouse left us for better accommodation not long after this camp. Cheers👍😎

We recently watched children at Bribie Island trying to catch bin chickens and goannas for $5. They were setting traps and having a fantastic time. It cost Dad $0. 🤣

Great episode Terry. Still loving the maps. Looking forward to next episode.
Have you fitted diff locks to car or are you happy with factory package, traction control etc?
    Cheers Ian McKay

Thanks for the kind words and for watching mate, I appreciate it very much. I have front and rear ARB air lockers fitted and love them. When we get in the gnarly rocky stuff where a lot of wheel articulation is needed (which we have later in the trip) you can see how easy it makes the going with soooo much mechanical sympathy. That’s very important to me as we are usually so far off the beaten track I don’t want to break stuff😉😎

What awesome scenery and a great track that definitely beats tar any day!
One we collect our new AOR off road van these are the types of tracks we want to do to take in the great outdoors.
Guessing you have full fuel if 270lt + some spare?
Hope you are both loving it - it seems that way!
    Cheers from Brissy !

Thanks Tony, you will definitely enjoy those type tracks, just takes a bit of balls to commit. My 200 holds 270 litres total, 180 litre long ranger sun tank, and the factory 93 litre main tank. I’m on the Canning Stock Route at well 21 currently, and for that I took an additional 20 litre jerry. Cheers👍😎

Thanks for joining us for the journey David, I trust you will find some value during your stay. We use Hema for the larger view and overall planning, and Exploreoz Traveler for the detailed stuff as they have track on there that Hema do not. If I was only going with one, it would be ExploreOz

That’s awesome David, I like paper too but once you got digital you’ll never go back (and I’m a dinosaur as well😂😎).
