  • Welcome to Jafffa Adventures where Jill and Terry take off for a half year trip through the remote regions of South Australia and Western Australia. The genesis of the trip was the solar eclipse at Exmouth on April 20th, but we decided to turn the adventure into half a year on the road visiting the most remote places we can get. In this video we continue to explore the remote and lesser known coastal 4WD tracks of Western Australia. We cross the Nullarbor heading west and stop in at the Eucla Telegraph Station. We then drop down into Nuytsland Nature Reserve and visit the remote Toolinna Cove, where the old telegraph crew ferried supplies up the Nullarbor cliffs. We will show you how to get to all these great remote spots with detailed maps and explanations.
If West Australia coastal tracks are not on your bucket list, they should be!!
This one is not to be missed if you are in the area and you enjoy four wheel driving. You must be appropriately prepared to take on remote arid conditions, but if you are you will not be disappointed.
If you like overlanding, if you like remote unspoiled places, if you like 4WD action, then this is the place to be.

Evening !! ........As Old as the OLT is, when I was a kid (in the 60's) we still used a single strand telephone line as our only contact with the outside world on the farm. I remember the poles, some just basically tree branches, with insulators on them. We would dial the exchange (the only shop in a small country town a bit of a drive away) to make a call to some one. It's no wonder the lady at the exchange knew everyone's business, I bet she listened into all the calls 🤣🤣We never had grid power back in those days either, just a 32v diesel lighting plant that the old man would start up at night. I was so lucky to have been raised on a farm that was literally built from scratch on scrub land that the old man cleared, in a home made of hand pressed bricks & no mod cons. You guys seen to bring back so many memories for me with your travels & I absolutely love every minute of it!👍Thanks for sharing again!

Thanks an awesome story Rod, thank you so much for sharing. I too remember our first phone (a rotary dial unit) and we were on a party line with about 10 other houses on our street. Each house has a different length and number of rings, so you knew if it was your call to pick up. If you wanted to dial out, and picked up the receiver and heard someone else on the line, you had to wait for them to end their call before you could dial out. Something that the current generation will never experience, nor should they😉. I appreciate you coming on the journey with us mate, cheers👍😎

Talking about whetting our appetite...that dune looks insane, like a Hollywood off-world movie embarking on a journey into a towering unknown, maybe to discover new life. Must have been 1000 times impressive IRL!
Thank you for showing us what's coming 👍

      Figger this!
You get a new land cruiser with a V6 and have to buy a sound generator to make the V8 brum brum….
      Makes laughing my ass off…
No offence…. Re the V6 Diesel. We have two in Germany in the garage in a X3 and E class convertible.
Not much you here of the diesel engines but the have power and torque over 600Nm stock speed limited to 250km/h. That’s were that fun begins….
Yep a LC 200 V8 Must sound Great down low..
      Happy days
      Cheers

I think I'll have to invest in PPF. Even if it's just a cheap one. It's better than nothing. I was out 4WD the last weekend, and had to go through an overgrown track to get to the beach. At the end of the trip, I had a few light pin striping. Luckily, I was able to polish them out. But until I did, it was stressing me out, and it's not even a new car, but a 1996 80 Series. 😲

Love the 80’s mate😉. Yep, if you have a vehicle you are proud of and want to protect the paint, definitely worth an investment no matter what product you use👍😎
