I feel like Johnny's confidence has increased as the trial has progressed. It has to be such a relief to him to be able to share his story and be vindicated and validated by all the positive support he gets in these videos. I feel like this can be a very healing experience for him and I hope that he's able to move forward leaving a lot of the painful baggage behind him.

I am so sorry that this happened to him. He deserves justice all the way. He's very relatable to many including me. I'm glad he has a voice he's able to open up and use it. Though, through this unfortunate matter. He speaks for many other victims of narcissism/ toxic relationships which can stem from childhood trauma. To confide in someone about you're most intimate things then someone uses this against you. Destroy's you're trust and so much more. It devalues you as a human being. A very, very horrible thing.

If you are a real friend or spouse, when your spouse or friend is trying to stay away from alcohol, out of love alone, it should be quite easy to abstain from drinking alcohol in your presence. Anyone who has any experience with opiate withdrawals/detox, be it first hand or while with someone who’s going through it, knows this man is not lying. Im an addict myself (and a musician as well so the feeling of kinship is strong!) and know the “heebeegeebees” all too well. I couldn’t imagine going through my detox without my fiancé let alone be in the care of someone so cruel who you thought loved you as much as you did them. My heart breaks for this man. I’m a sober alcoholic. While my quitting wasn’t as dramatic as opiate withdrawal, I totally related to the part about your body trying to escape your skin. I can’t imagine not having the support I did, let alone Johnny having someone not only supporting him but actively being cruel to him at his life’s lowest most painful moments. Brutal.

To me, I understand that, that's when she would have interrupted, shouted, or physically strike him had they been alone. I've watched a few trials in my life, never seen anyone behaving the way she does. Not even her lawyers are taking so many notes. This woman can't stand being shown a mirror.

Johnny standing up for himself my favorite thing. He really did lose a lot of major roles due to Amber's false allegations, he lost his role as Captain Jack Sparrow and also his role as Gellert Grindelwald in HP series and yes that's a lot. It's so nice listening to him talking all his feelings and life events. He has a soothing voice and he is very calm, very articulated and he has proofs that he is innocent. If he is not winning the case then I will not believe in justice ever again.

As a domestic violence survivor…it breaks my heart listening to his inner turmoil and utter confusion still regarding her actions and choices. I left my abuser in Sept and it’s scary to think even years later, how affected he still is by what happened to him and how much of a fight to recovery I have ahead. I kept telling my abuser “I’m not your enemy”. It’s as if they despise you and are just so angry you woke up that day, yet they never leave. Listening to what she did to him, it’s like every abuser has an instruction manual they all follow, they are all the same. For her to claim she is any kind of victim, to continue to try to destroy him even after they ended, to sit there in court still in defense of her actions…is beyond disgusting. He is not just speaking for himself, he is speaking for us all…❤️

My son had a relationship with a person very similar to Amber Heard. I remember asking him "Why do you stay with her, why don't you leave her. Please get away from her." I remember him throwing up his hands/arms in desperation and saying so very emotionally, "I DON'T KNOW, MOM, I DON'T KNOW! I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT EITHER". He took his own life at her house 2 months later - There are really evil women out there in this world. Controlling, manipulative, narcissistic evil women. Fun fact over sharing and over explaining are trauma responses to feeling unheard, misunderstood, belittled, basically being treated like a child or made to feel significantly unimportant by the ones you love. So you over explain and over share bc you aren’t used to being able to talk freely without extreme judgment. At least that’s why my therapist told me why I do it. 🤷♀️

That sank in to my heart because I know the exact feeling. You never ever want the person you love to say something like that to you...be it your mother....your partner ..your sibling...etc. it hurts so much and he saw it spiralling and he stayed but ran, hid in various rooms, I've done this too. We do not entertain these people any longer, we love them from a distance.

On CROSS-EXAMINATION, his attorneys need to list out every single ARTICLE that references her lies about DV from the time of their separation. Then list out every single JOB he lost, examples of FRIENDS who stopped calling, COLLEAGUES who shunned him, and every single INCIDENT he & his kids endured as a result of her LIES! This way, they’ll CLEARLY CONNECT HER REPEATED LIES TO THE NEGATIVE IMPACT in all aspects of his life, so that members of the jury don’t have make those connections for themselves. This is crucial to get the jury to find in his favour.

I can listen to Johnny talk for hours and hours. Before this trial I admired Johnny as the great actor he is but listening to Johnny and the testimonies given by his sister, friends and employees made me like and admire Johnny immensely as human being.
Yeah I literally feel the same way!! I just watched some of his movies liked him as an actor and his hair/clothes style nothing else. Never watched interviews of him or something like that. Now in this trial I feel like I get to know him as a human being. Yes i actually rewatch JD testimony and looked at when AH was taking notes, so far it matches the "key" times of her testimony and the times she put down JD. Funny enough she wasn't bothered by the story at all, she wasn't relieving anything, just focused on getting notes for her own advantage
She's probably not actually taking notes, or at least nothing of substance. It's a common thing that your lawyer will tell you to do to prevent yourself looking bored, disinterested, etc. in front of a jury.

I am amazed about that too - especially for his initial few days. One thing that I did notice is that neither the doctor nor the nurse (she never recalls anything anyway 🙄) ever gave me the feeling that they sat Amber down and thoroughly discussed with her what was going to happen and her role in all of this. Now I realize that the house Depp was staying in was very small. Not knowing what other buildings were available, it would have been better if they were in a larger building with adjoining rooms. I take it that Amber was probably very forceful about it (or charming) but she should not have been allowed to have her way in this instance. If Depp has truly detoxed, I would credit his determination more than the competency of the doctor/nurse.
i know a lot of people are talking about it, but yes, he’s stuttering. he has his abuser eyeing him down while he talks about her in the same room, he’s testifying in front of millions of people, etc. testifying in an every day case ifs stressful enough. he’s already testified that he’s a shy person and has always hated being in the limelight. this on top of the context is incredibly difficult. he’s stressed. he’s anxious. he’s going to stutter. for the over sharing, he’s trying to put all the details in as he can so he can A) make sure amber’s lawyers can’t twist anything he says and B) he’s finally being able to share his story. also, when someone is anxious, they tend to ramble and over share. it’s also a trauma response. he’s been gaslit so much that now he feels the need to overshare to be believed. i do the same thing. edit: the oversharing is also making it very difficult for amber’s lawyers to prove he’s lying. he’s testifying for hours on end, talking out loud a stream of consciousness. when doing that, it’s very difficult to keep all the details the same if they’re lies (amber knows this very well lol) the way in which he’s testifying is showing how honest and truthful he’s being. he was upfront with the substances and every time he took them and was sober etc. he’s revealed anything amber can use against him. he’s not leaving them anything at all, as he should. if he doesn’t win this trial and get his jobs back, a riot will happen. he deserves nothing but the best. amber deserves to be in jail. justice for johnny 💜

At times if you notice, Ambers face turning red as if she is ready to explode into one of these rages that Johnny is talking about, however being reminded by her attorney by a tap on the arm or a nod of the head to remind her to keep her emotions in check is just showing everyone that she’s really not able to even sit in a court of law and behave without having a baby sitter right beside her to constantly check into her mental. I have bpd and the way he is describing the circular argument with her is exactly as I was sadly engaging in at my sickest. I suppose he could have read a bunch of bpd material to lend him credibility but, man. I too also used to go crazy if my partner didn’t want to go to bed at the same time as me, taking it as a rejection. The things he’s saying are just giving me chills because they remind me so much of the way I used to be pre treatment. People actually described arguments with me as a never ending and exhausting circle. I also used to forget the awful things I would say, or hear them differently. I still do sometimes. I’m not ok and I quit trying relationships in 2010 as I just can’t function in one. I don’t want to feel the borderline’s relationship pain but I also never want to do this to another person again.
The fact that you’re able to see and admit you have a problem means you’re doing better than a lot of people with BPD. Part of the disorder is having the inability to recognize you have a problem, so I’m proud of you even though I don’t know you. Getting treatment with BPD is especially difficult since you have to face the worst things about yourself while struggling to accept them. I know someone with BPD that makes her ex and their children’s lives miserable (as well as mine). Her ex did his best to escape, but she still won’t let him years later. She doesn’t even know she has a problem and also has narcissistic traits that keep feeding into the issue. However, knowing that someone with BPD is capable of change gives me hope. Thank you for sharing.
It’s interesting to observe rock bottom and see who comes through for you and who kicks you. No one deserves abandonment at rock bottom, let alone cruelty. She is a cruel human.
The worst part about drug dependence is that the stigma is so great that it can both be used against you by a spousal partner and then also used to “prove” in court what an unreliable and horrible person you are, even if you abstain.
I hope the Justice system doesn’t fail him. He’s been through so much. I’m looking forward for the 7th day he did so well today and I know he still got a lot to say. We all love fighting for the truth Johnny.
As someone who has had an opiate addiction myself listening to JD try and explain the feelings of withdrawals and even telling the nurse he was taking more than he did out of pure FEAR of those withdrawals I was so completely MOVED. He put into words eloquently how it feels. It can TRULY be indescribable to someone who has never felt that monkey beating on their backs. I've always described addiction in comparison to my normal empathetic self as if I had a demon clawing it's way out of my chest. Yes, we see it's claws but we have NO WAY to stop its progression without tearing a vital piece of one's self apart in the process. That's the best way I can describe the helplessness you feel in that moment of time... And I'll ALSO add, coming from another addict, that his confessions is INCREDIBLY brave. It's so HARD to admit to these things and he's doing it in front of the WHOLE world! No matter if you ACTUALLY believe him or not, this kind of tearing the curtain away in ANY type of hurt is EXTREMELY difficult and we should give him props...
Even the memory of the withdrawal coming on will make you physically ill... I've always said it's indescribable but Johnny put it in true form. Same here. My first thought when he was asked about his experience of detoxification was this… IF, and that’s a monumental IF, he could describe the feelings of withdrawal with any kind of real accuracy, for both the physical AND mental anguish that one’s body is put through that even then someone who hasn’t been through it themselves could and would never fully appreciate it. I literally held my breath as he went through the process of trying to put words to it and then verbalize it all because of my own personal experiences in the past to try and do so. Still, major props to him. His willingness to get up there and do what he did on that stand had to have taken an enormous amount of bravery to begin with.
Right?! I’m also super shocked that the doctor that went o the island with him ALLOWED Heard to ADMINISTER his detox meds!!! Wtf is that?! That should not of even been an option. Yes they weren’t in a detox facility, but those drugs shouldn’t of been administered by someone who isn’t at least a nurse. And if someone is in serious pain while withdrawing, as I’ve done myself in a facility, they absolutely can give you certain things that are non addictive and can help alleviate pain that isn’t strictly scheduled. Some of those drugs you can only take at certain times. But there’s others that can be taken with a little more lenience. And she has no right to make those decisions because she’s not a doctor or a nurse. It was a way to control him.
Ooft, I relate so much to this. Being "wrong" about everything, being picked up on every little thing, especially in front of people to humiliate me, belittling, bullying and controlling every single thing you do. Being asked to do things but you don't actually have a choice in whether you actually do it or not cause if you don't, the next barrage is coming your way. Eventually throwing things, hitting you even in front of people, swearing at you, shouting at you even in public and shoving you against walls. Heart racing as you sit in front of a door to block them from coming in and they just don't stop... Eventually listing all the ways they want to see you dead or hurt before throwing your things out of the house simply cause you say youre leaving. The most hurtful act was them withholding my cats, and then saying I abandoned them when they needed me most. Saying (for the first time) they loved me as a bargaining tool to make me stay even after they said they wanted to push me into on coming traffic, set me on fire and see me get mauled by a pack of dogs. Then when I've left and grieved and distanced myself from everyone related to that relationship, hear that they've said I've been the manipulative one... I cut off all contact after that because it hurt to hear all the lies. No one even knew why I left, I don't think they even knew they hit me, but they would always comment on how he treated me, talked to me and ask me if I was okay, even going so far as to say it was abusive to me directly. Its been a year anniversary of my leaving and it's been resurfacing lots of feelings of grief and pain. I feel like Johnny's confidence has increased as the trial has progressed. It has to be such a relief to him to be able to share his story and be vindicated and validated by all the positive support he gets in these videos. I feel like this can be a very healing experience for him and I hope that he's able to move forward leaving a lot of the painful baggage behind him.

This was so much more to him, so much deeper than trying to repair an irreparable reputation. He said it himself that no matter the outcome of this case, he's already lost. This was his one opportunity to tell his side and win or lose I hope he finds some closure in letting his truth be known.
Exactly, but validation helps and I hope he has gotten it through this process. They make you feel like the crazy one and keep in such an insane state. You really start to doubt yourself and it’s just a constant state of WTF. You’re always wrong in their eyes. There’s such a healing in simple validation.
I hope at the very least that he knows that the general public for the most part has his side. I know that can feel like nothing, especially when you've lost so many contacts and friends from his career. But it seems like the vast majority understands that it was all lies and we do not blame him at all. Sadly defamation suits are just bandaids to situations like these. But his fans understand that Amber's lies were in fact lies.
If you are a real friend or spouse, when your spouse or friend is trying to stay away from alcohol, out of love alone, it should be quite easy to abstain from drinking alcohol in your presence. Same goes for drugs. That should have been a big sign of how she truly felt about him and same goes for the friends and family living in his places for free.

Anyone who has any experience with opiate withdrawals/detox, be it first hand or while with someone who’s going through it, knows this man is not lying. Im an addict myself (and a musician as well so the feeling of kinship is strong!) and know the “heebeegeebees” all too well. I couldn’t imagine going through my detox without my fiancé let alone be in the care of someone so cruel who you thought loved you as much as you did them. My heart breaks for this man. Justice for Johnny!!!!
I’m a sober alcoholic. While my quitting wasn’t as dramatic as opiate withdrawal, I totally related to the part about your body trying to escape your skin. I can’t imagine not having the support I did, let alone Johnny having someone not only supporting him but actively being cruel to him at his life’s lowest most painful moments. Brutal.
I’m in recovery as well. It sounds to me as if JD uses a maintenance medication. Which is not relevant to the case or a negative assessment, strictly an observation on his testimony around prescription medication.

Each time Johnny Depp describes Amber Heard's abusive behaviour, you will see her reach for the notepad. That's very telling. To me, I understand that, that's when she would have interrupted, shouted, or physically strike him had they been alone.

He really did lose a lot of major roles due to Amber's false allegations, he lost his role as Captain Jack Sparrow and also his role as Gellert Grindelwald in HP series and yes that's a lot. It's so nice listening to him talking all his feelings and life events. He has a soothing voice and he is very calm, very articulated and he has proofs that he is innocent. If he is not winning the case then I will not believe in justice ever again.

As a domestic violence survivor…it breaks my heart listening to his inner turmoil and utter confusion still regarding her actions and choices. I left my abuser in Sept and it’s scary to think even years later, how affected he still is by what happened to him and how much of a fight to recovery I have ahead. I kept telling my abuser “I’m not your enemy”. It’s as if they despise you and are just so angry you woke up that day, yet they never leave. Listening to what she did to him, it’s like every abuser has an instruction manual they all follow, they are all the same. For her to claim she is any kind of victim, to continue to try to destroy him even after they ended, to sit there in court still in defense of her actions…is beyond disgusting. He is not just speaking for himself, he is speaking for us all…❤️

Fun fact over sharing and over explaining are trauma responses to feeling unheard, misunderstood, belittled, basically being treated like a child or made to feel significantly unimportant by the ones you love. So you over explain and over share bc you aren’t used to being able to talk freely without extreme judgment. At least that’s why my therapist told me why I do it. 🤷♀️

Then list out every single JOB he lost, examples of FRIENDS who stopped calling, COLLEAGUES who shunned him, and every single INCIDENT he & his kids endured as a result of her LIES!
This way, they’ll CLEARLY CONNECT HER REPEATED LIES TO THE NEGATIVE IMPACT in all aspects of his life, so that members of the jury don’t have make those connections for themselves. This is crucial to get the jury to find in his favour.

She's probably not actually taking notes, or at least nothing of substance. It's a common thing that your lawyer will tell you to do to prevent yourself looking bored, disinterested, etc. in front of a jury.

When JD talked about how his mom tried to OD on pills, I wondered if this is why she tried (unsuccessfully) to act as though she too tried to OD too .... on 2 pills 🙄
I know he's telling the truth because I have lived it. There's no way he can tell it this way unless he's been there experienced it to tell it so honestly.
Exactly!! No one can truly understand unless you’ve either: 1. Lived with an individual like her, or 2. Have an intimate relationship with someone like her. Anything else is empathy and sympathy.
I'm so proud of him for speaking up. As a survivor of narcissistic abusive parents I can relate to a lot of what he says. Hearing about Amber triggers my own memories. You have to be blind to not see through her lies. I wish Johnny the best and I hope Disney will give him Jack Sparrow back. The world supports him!!

Yes! Watching it now and I couldn't tell if she was actually fighting back tears, trying to hide a smirk or holding back from screaming at him. Her breathing kept getting heavy but yet she looked so stone cold.

I lived that life.. hearing her words in the recorded bashing Johnny conversations.. was all too close to home for me.. narcissists treat everyone the same.. he now has been educated and won’t allow one back in.. my heart melts.. (it takes a year or more for their true colors to show..

I am amazed about that too - especially for his initial few days. One thing that I did notice is that neither the doctor nor the nurse (she never recalls anything anyway 🙄) ever gave me the feeling that they sat Amber down and thoroughly discussed with her what was going to happen and her role in all of this. Now I realize that the house Depp was staying in was very small. Not knowing what other buildings were available, it would have been better if they were in a larger building with adjoining rooms.
I take it that Amber was probably very forceful about it (or charming) but she should not have been allowed to have her way in this instance. If Depp has truly detoxed, I would credit his determination more than the competency of the doctor/nurse.
i know a lot of people are talking about it, but yes, he’s stuttering. he has his abuser eyeing him down while he talks about her in the same room, he’s testifying in front of millions of people, etc. testifying in an every day case ifs stressful enough. he’s already testified that he’s a shy person and has always hated being in the limelight. this on top of the context is incredibly difficult. he’s stressed. he’s anxious. he’s going to stutter.
for the over sharing, he’s trying to put all the details in as he can so he can A) make sure amber’s lawyers can’t twist anything he says and B) he’s finally being able to share his story. also, when someone is anxious, they tend to ramble and over share. it’s also a trauma response. he’s been gaslit so much that now he feels the need to overshare to be believed. i do the same thing.
edit: the oversharing is also making it very difficult for amber’s lawyers to prove he’s lying. he’s testifying for hours on end, talking out loud a stream of consciousness. when doing that, it’s very difficult to keep all the details the same if they’re lies (amber knows this very well lol) the way in which he’s testifying is showing how honest and truthful he’s being. he was upfront with the substances and every time he took them and was sober etc. he’s revealed anything amber can use against him. he’s not leaving them anything at all, as he should.
if he doesn’t win this trial and get his jobs back, a riot will happen. he deserves nothing but the best. amber deserves to be in jail. justice for johnny 💜
You may want to check out some of his old interviews on TH-cam. He speaks in the same manner. The stammer/stutter is natural for him. She lied and it wasn’t enough she walked away with 7 million she had to ruin his life..

At times if you notice, Ambers face turning red as if she is ready to explode into one of these rages that Johnny is talking about, however being reminded by her attorney by a tap on the arm or a nod of the head to remind her to keep her emotions in check is just showing everyone that she’s really not able to even sit in a court of law and behave without having a baby sitter right beside her to constantly check into her mental. I have bpd and the way he is describing the circular argument with her is exactly as I was sadly engaging in at my sickest. I suppose he could have read a bunch of bpd material to lend him credibility but, man. I too also used to go crazy if my partner didn’t want to go to bed at the same time as me, taking it as a rejection. The things he’s saying are just giving me chills because they remind me so much of the way I used to be pre treatment. People actually described arguments with me as a never ending and exhausting circle. I also used to forget the awful things I would say, or hear them differently. I still do sometimes. I’m not ok and I quit trying relationships in 2010 as I just can’t function in one. I don’t want to feel the borderline’s relationship pain but I also never want to do this to another person again.

The fact that you’re able to see and admit you have a problem means you’re doing better than a lot of people with BPD. Part of the disorder is having the inability to recognize you have a problem, so I’m proud of you even though I don’t know you. Getting treatment with BPD is especially difficult since you have to face the worst things about yourself while struggling to accept them. I know someone with BPD that makes her ex and their children’s lives miserable (as well as mine). Her ex did his best to escape, but she still won’t let him years later. She doesn’t even know she has a problem and also has narcissistic traits that keep feeding into the issue. However, knowing that someone with BPD is capable of change gives me hope. Thank you for sharing.

It’s interesting to observe rock bottom and see who comes through for you and who kicks you. No one deserves abandonment at rock bottom, let alone cruelty. She is a cruel human.
The worst part about drug dependence is that the stigma is so great that it can both be used against you by a spousal partner and then also used to “prove” in court what an unreliable and horrible person you are, even if you abstain.
I hope the Justice system doesn’t fail him. He’s been through so much. I’m looking forward for the 7th day he did so well today and I know he still got a lot to say. We all love fighting for the truth Johnny.
As someone who has had an opiate addiction myself listening to JD try and explain the feelings of withdrawals and even telling the nurse he was taking more than he did out of pure FEAR of those withdrawals I was so completely MOVED. He put into words eloquently how it feels. It can TRULY be indescribable to someone who has never felt that monkey beating on their backs. I've always described addiction in comparison to my normal empathetic self as if I had a demon clawing it's way out of my chest. Yes, we see it's claws but we have NO WAY to stop its progression without tearing a vital piece of one's self apart in the process. That's the best way I can describe the helplessness you feel in that moment of time...
And I'll ALSO add, coming from another addict, that his confessions is INCREDIBLY brave. It's so HARD to admit to these things and he's doing it in front of the WHOLE world! No matter if you ACTUALLY believe him or not, this kind of tearing the curtain away in ANY type of hurt is EXTREMELY difficult and we should give him props...
Even the memory of the withdrawal coming on will make you physically ill... I've always said it's indescribable but Johnny put it in true form. I hope everyone realizes that he exposed a little of his soul in sharing all of these things. No one would subject themselves to this for pride or revenge. He is speaking the truth.😢❤🙏

IF, and that’s a monumental IF, he could describe the feelings of withdrawal with any kind of real accuracy, for both the physical AND mental anguish that one’s body is put through that even then someone who hasn’t been through it themselves could and would never fully appreciate it. I literally held my breath as he went through the process of trying to put words to it and then verbalize it all because of my own personal experiences in the past to try and do so. Still, major props to him. His willingness to get up there and do what he did on that stand had to have taken an enormous amount of bravery to begin with.
Right?! I’m also super shocked that the doctor that went o the island with him ALLOWED Heard to ADMINISTER his detox meds!!! Wtf is that?! That should not of even been an option. Yes they weren’t in a detox facility, but those drugs shouldn’t of been administered by someone who isn’t at least a nurse. And if someone is in serious pain while withdrawing, as I’ve done myself in a facility, they absolutely can give you certain things that are non addictive and can help alleviate pain that isn’t strictly scheduled. Some of those drugs you can only take at certain times. But there’s others that can be taken with a little more lenience. And she has no right to make those decisions because she’s not a doctor or a nurse. It was a way to control him.
Ooft, I relate so much to this. Being "wrong" about everything, being picked up on every little thing, especially in front of people to humiliate me, belittling, bullying and controlling every single thing you do. Being asked to do things but you don't actually have a choice in whether you actually do it or not cause if you don't, the next barrage is coming your way.
Eventually throwing things, hitting you even in front of people, swearing at you, shouting at you even in public and shoving you against walls.
Heart racing as you sit in front of a door to block them from coming in and they just don't stop...
Eventually listing all the ways they want to see you dead or hurt before throwing your things out of the house simply cause you say youre leaving.
The most hurtful act was them withholding my cats, and then saying I abandoned them when they needed me most. Saying (for the first time) they loved me as a bargaining tool to make me stay even after they said they wanted to push me into on coming traffic, set me on fire and see me get mauled by a pack of dogs.
Then when I've left and grieved and distanced myself from everyone related to that relationship, hear that they've said I've been the manipulative one... I cut off all contact after that because it hurt to hear all the lies. No one even knew why I left, I don't think they even knew they hit me, but they would always comment on how he treated me, talked to me and ask me if I was okay, even going so far as to say it was abusive to me directly.
Its been a year anniversary of my leaving and it's been resurfacing lots of feelings of grief and pain.
Listening to how sharing your trauma with those you love only for it to become ammunition really hits hard, because it's all so textbook...
