Awesome vid as always. Do you tend to get a better bite during a certain time of day? I was told to go by tide and not necessarily time. Curious about what you think.

The impact of the tide depends on the body of water, so let’s start with time of day.
In warm months, I usually do best from first light to 10 AM, and 3:30 PM - sunset.
I prefer an outgoing and low tide in most waters because it brings the fish out of the hard to reach flooded vegetation and cover.
There are some exceptions though, especially in waters with giant hydrilla mats. In those waters, I prefer a moving tide and especially a high tide because the high tide puts about 3-6 inches of water on top of the Hydrilla mat. I’ve had some of my best days pulling a buzzbait in conditions like that.

Pisses me off when I set hook to soon. I let Snakeheads fully take bait before setting. I miss far more settingbtoo quickly than I do letting them grab it. I do that a lot early when I havent beennout in awhile. Doesnt take long to fix that problem.
