What about the aerodynamic pressure area on the bottom of the windshield? It is known there is a pressure area aerodynamic wise on that exact location where you expect the hot air come out the engine bay. This pressure area would work against that hot air coming out of the engine bay and it would do nothing but stay hot insinde.
