    The Shine-Dalgarno-sequence starts translation only in prokaryotes. In eukaryotes, the Kozak sequence takes over the function of the Shine-Dalgarno sequence. The video is easily misunderstood; in a way that you could think translation is the same in prokaryotes and eukaryotes (e.g. 0:25) - all the elongation factors etc. are very different. This sould be clarified

    I just have a doubt sir, if he tRNA is charges with amino acid why does translation occurs since it now already has the amino acid?

    • @ognjenpostin867
      @ognjenpostin867 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      iRNK just gives information what Aminoacids need to be connected in order to make polypeptide aka Protein. Which in case, tRNA brings to the ribosome

    you call it translation in first few seconds instead of transcription. Is this an overview or purposeful?

    Sir how does the enzyme aminoacyl tRNA synthetase know which amino acid to charge?

      Very good question. please refer to this article to know more www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2270698/#:~:text=Aminoacyl%2DtRNA%20synthetases%20(aaRSs),(aa%2DAMP)%20intermediate.

    Where in the cell does aminoacylation occur? In the nucleus or in the cytosol?

    • @animatedbiologywitharpan
      @animatedbiologywitharpan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sarah Dickson cytosol and it makes sense because in eukaryotes the translation is happening in the cytoplasm as well

    • @no_shit5756

    How CAA residue added to trna post transcriptionally?

    • @nirvana571
      @nirvana571 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's done by CCA adding enzymes called nucleotidyl transferases

      Very nice question...I would answer it in a video...this is also known as second genetic code

    • @ismaelsipana3342
      @ismaelsipana3342 ปีที่แล้ว

      The mRNA coding sequence directs trna to bring in a specific amino acid based on the fact that anticodons are complementary to the codons.

    What if there is no amino acid available to charge trna

    • @animatedbiologywitharpan
      @animatedbiologywitharpan  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Theoretically If there are no available amino acids to charge tRNA (transfer RNA), protein synthesis cannot proceed effectively. But inside a cell there is no such biological condition that amino acids would not be there completely.

  • @samiullahsyed7545

    Is only one ATP utilized in tRNA charging, or are two ATP utilized in tRNA charging

    • @animatedbiologywitharpan
      @animatedbiologywitharpan  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Charging a tRNA molecule with an amino acid requires the hydrolysis of one molecule of ATP to AMP and pyrophosphate. So, one ATP molecule is typically used to charge a tRNA molecule with an amino acid.
