I just cant believe it still!!!!! when u play the guitar yourself you realize just how far hes reaching into the guitar and how that must feel on the hand!!!!! He was an entity in human form i know it!!!!!!!
jeeesus fucking christ. I'm the same age as he was right then and there, and I couldn't be farther from his ability. But then again, he was truly alien. Love you Shawn, wherever you may be
I remember that guitar he had. I think it was the Roland guitar synthesizer axe he had from the late 70s.I first met him in 1978 over at a dude's house that worked on those and other guitars in general. I was only 12 at the time but I knew who he was but didn't realize that was him when he came over. I was cutting up when he came in and the dude told me to stop playing but Shawn said no, let the kid play. He was with Black Oak Arkansas at the time and was only about 16 himself. We became friends years later. Very proud to have known him. He was one of the kindest people I ever knew. I still play the thickest and pointiest picks I can get my hands on in his honor since he got me hooked on them in 1985, in vain of course. lol I recommend the dunlop 3mm purple triangle stubbys for anyone out there tying to up your game. I also use the smaller ones like he always liked. Depends on my mood.
I'm lost. Shawn can emphasize oddly and on purpose w perfect intention on any finger . He forms shapes w Supreme confidence and control. Yeah it sounds elementary, and I myself get around the fret board well, but Shawn is on the same level as Art Tatum Oscar Peterson. Mozart Jaco to name a few. The group thins out. This performance, then warp to his final days and its absolutely like a butterfly. For us left to hear feel this spirit n Shawn. Eternal gratitude.
Hey crafton, do you have the footage of shawn covering the introduction by steve morse? I remember it was on TH-cam quite some time back... it would be great if you uploaded it.
🙄🙄... playing like Hendrix couldn't...or any rock guitarist... try and understand that fusion guys are levels above... Holdsworth Beck Coryell Metheny Schofield Connors Di Meola Stern George Benson Shawn Lane and the like... basic blues rock is extremely simple for them
when God created the universe with an interstellar exploration he put on a headset and before the detonation pressed play and guess what the soundtrack 👆
The best ever. Not of this planet. #oneofone
The man was a monster player...a great loss for the music world.

Come on man. Brandon Jefferson is one of the biggest Shawn Lane fans out there. Check out his channel, he’s also a tasteful and talented player.
The tone is almost unbelievable
Best shredder with soul
Like other giants of the guitar he puts his soul into every note, and play as if its their last time.
genius
Surrounded by talentless big mouth cunts.
This is Jimi being abducted by alien craft then dropped back down to earth 200 years later...!
The best ever.
We love you, Shawn.
We love you, Uploader. Thanks for the great documentation.

Jesus. Spot on to a frightening level! Shawn must've had Jimi's fingerprints! Not of this earth.
What is the guitar that Shawn plays?
