    All battery powered saws are great, especially for people who live in a neighborhood full houses close to each, so clean and quite.

      This saw is good. I recommend the 16” brushless version if it’s in your price range. It’s much better.

    I have over a dozen battery operated chainsaws. Four of them are Greenworks. I bought them because EGO doesn't have a small battery platform. My larger saws are EGO; up to 24". But sometimes I want a smaller saw; hence the Greenworks. Three 24v ones, and one 40v.

  • @John-cj3ve
    @John-cj3ve 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The oiling is the first thing I thought of when I got my little Greenworks. At the time; all I had was a gallon jug of bar oil.
    I immediately ordered a one quart bottle; which helps quite a bit.

    • @JeromeBeeFarm
      @JeromeBeeFarm  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, it's hard to pour a gallon jug into that tiny hole that's also not very accessible. Thanks for watching.

  • @John-cj3ve

    One thing I've done for all my saws; is to switch them to full chisel chains.
    That makes a big difference in the way they cut.

      Glad you liked it. I like this saw. It’s a little heavy but performs well. I use it in combination with the 40v pole saw, which I wore out and just got another. lol. Thanks for watching and commenting.

      @@JeromeBeeFarm I already use the pole saw, and have found it really handy for higher branches. I absolutely love my 40V Greenworks leaf blower with 350cfm! But for the chainsaw I think I might give Ego a try.

    • @JeromeBeeFarm

      Try the brushless 16” green works. It’s much better than this one. I did a video on it as well. It has really good chain speed and electric chain brake. That way you don’t need another battery. On these battery saws be sure you get brushless whatever brand you get. More comparable to a gas saw. Good luck.

      You won't be disappointed. I gave my dad one of the 12" and he wore it out, motor quit and smoked. So I bought him the 16" tool only, since he already had a battery. He really likes it. It's good to always have a spare chain too.

    Hi there i have one of these and i found it very good, cuts the logs like there is no tomorrow, portable so can take it out and use it, on the minus side i have the standard battery and charger and the battery takes me 1.5 hrs to charge and it doesn't last very long if your cutting big diameter logs, say about 1 foot or under, and your forever filling the oil tank up, and it only hold 50ml, about 1/16 of a Uk pint. but i do like it, its not something i use often but handy when i need it....Fred in Essex Uk.

      Hi Fred. Yeah. I like mine too. I never cut enough to drain the oil resivoir. I have the 4Ah battery and an aftermarket 5AH battery so I don’t have to worry about charge time. I also have the cultivator, pole saw, 14” attachment capable trimmer with an edger attachment, and blower.

    That what i do is make sure there plenty of oil on the bar YEP a must to keep it sharp. I buy like 3 Chains Saw blades > Where i always have a sharp one yes i sharpen them my self. got a hand file i file em> all needed > i think its more powerful and faster than the Dewalt > I always love Stihl. but i can get 4 electric ones for the price of 1

    If my eyes are correct, there are fewer teeth on that chainsaw. It looks like after every cutting tooth there is a space, and that could be why it cuts and sounds rough.

    • @JeromeBeeFarm
      @JeromeBeeFarm  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Paul, it's standard chainsaw chain of that pitch/width. I think the reason the bar is bouncy is because the chain doesn't have near the velocity of a gas saw or a brushless battery saw. It's just a weird feeling if you're used to a gas saw. It's a handy little sucker though for a quick limb trim or something hanging you need to cut off. It starts every time too. lol Thanks for watching.

    I was thinking the Greenworks was going to do better too but I think the dewalt may have won the battle, without seeing the side by side yet that you are doing. I have been looking at the Echo too. It doesn't have a pole saw though. Thanks Darren-Ronnie

    I was noticing how slowly the Greenworks saw cut in the 'shootout' you had with two other saws. It was pretty painful to watch. That 'little' saw will really cut with a full chisel chain!
    I put full chisel chains on all my saws; and they dramatically improved their performance. You just have to be careful about not hitting the ground. And learn to be proficient in the use of a file.

    • @JeromeBeeFarm
      @JeromeBeeFarm  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That greenworks in the shootout wasn't a brushed version. I also have the 16" brushless 40V and it performs just like that Makita did. Really good saw, but it's just as heavy as a gas saw. The Dewalt crapped out with very little use. The motor controller died. What a total piece of crap on Dewalt's behalf. Yeah, it was 2 years old, but had cut very little wood. I shared my dissatisfaction with Dewalt and they gave a rip. My next little saw will be a 12V Milwaukee hatchet. thanks for watching and your comments.

    • @John-cj3ve
      @John-cj3ve 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I have TWO little Greenworks saws, and a medium size one.
      The smaller two are 24v. A 10" 'top loader', and a 'bottom handle' loader 12". I don't think the 10" is brushless; but I can lean on it harder than I can the 12" brushless.
      The medium Greenworks is a brushless 40v 14" one. It is a 'steady' cutter; just don't push it.
      I'm sure part of the reason I can't push the little Greenworks is because I'm asking them to pull a full chisel chain.
      Anyway; I love all dozen of my battery operated saws.
