That time capsule was very important to that 12 year old boy! I imagine that's his dads patch. The bit and bobs are things he found that made him happy. His curious mind was thinking of the future, like all boys in the 50s,60s and 70s. I'm a 74 baby, I can just picture this kid. A dreamer. I'd throw it back. But thats just me. Another little boy can find it 100 years from now. Thanks for a lovely channel. Melissa from Chicago

Those insulators look like Bullers LTD london P5065s dated 1936 by the looks of it! They tend to need a slight shock to loosen the rust on these. The last one that you unscrewed actually looks like a different pattern! These were high voltage poles for 11kv (probably) transmission! If you want to know more, just ask! If you follow Let's go with the Johnsons, you'll know I'm the insulator expert! More great finds this video 😁

Gday again ladies. Another fun, wet and muddy treasure hunt I see. Can’t wait. But already you’ve done quite well, finding those pole wire conductors. Great job. Wish I could’ve been there to unscrew them for you. The things you ladies find. Amazing really. Our rubbish tips are too clean and organised to try any treasure hunting. They’re now called Recycling Centres.(Ha) Crazy eh? Keep collecting the bottles, put ‘em in a card board box after you’ve cleaned them and flog’em off as a job lot. MONEY, MONEY, MONEY Ladies. Good Luck.👍🇦🇺😁😄🤪🤩☮️

In regards to trying to keep more fragile items together during transport I would suggest bringing a medium sized, blank notebook. You can "sandwich" the items between the pages to help preserve them like that piece of charred news paper. 😁

I might be a couple of years too late but the newspaper fragment you found was advertising the 1921(ish) Matchless Model H motorcycle sidecar and the other side was for a piston ring manufacturer (piston rings are internal parts of an engine).

When you have to decide if you will take another small bottle, couldn't you combine a few and then sell them to us. I would love to buy some also the poison bottle. Just a thought. 🎂

At 34.34; we used to have something called "Dinniford's Magnesia" which had stoppers like that. I think it was some sort of gripe waer.

HI GAIL AND ALEX!! LOVED YOUR VIDEO. THE TINY HEAD LOOKS LIKE A CAMPBELL SOUP KID. THE ONE WITH PART OF A HEAD. THE INSULATORS LOOKS COOL ALMOST LIKE A JAPANESE PAGODA. LIKE HOW EVERYTHING GETS SO POLISHED. THE MACHINE TO DO THAT MUST BE EXPENSIVE. WELL THANKS AGAIN AND STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY. ❤🙏

The insulators resemble Japanese Pagodas, especially the large one. :)

WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those insulators are very cool ! They are multi-part ,high voltage pieces. The two parts are cemented together .I have a porcelain monster HV piece that weighs 42 lbs. You ladies find the coolest things !!
