      The club is so desperate for short term success that they almost completely gave up on La Masia. Glad to see someone got a chance.
      Can you imagine a player like a young Xavi or Iniesta come through the system now? Too slow. Too short. Not goal scorers. They blossomed into two of the best midfielders ever, but this Barça has been avoiding making investments in such players when they are young.

      @omarriyami2923 4 ปีที่แล้ว +34

      That 800 mil is not coming from transfer budget, Real madrid's lack of activity in transfer market is result of Covid and also an ethical choice as they r telling their players to take a pay cut and then going out and buying new players adding to the wages even more wont go down well with players that are already there in their roster.

    • @ezekmt
      @ezekmt 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@omarriyami2923 I mean, you're probably right, but let's be honest: it's impossible a huge investment like that one wasn't taken into consideration at all with the lack of transfers, they are clearly holding up for the future. Real Madrid managed their financial situations very well during the pandamic, they got all the players to cut their wages and they'll agree to do that this season too, they didn't engage in transfers and they are paying their debts regularly via their high sponsoring revenues and even the Stadium renovation plan is well executed as they got over 500 million cash which will be paid in low interests and over 25 years so financially everything at Real Madrid is running smoothly unlike the Football side of the team though

    Good video as always. Slightly disagree about the transfers this summer though. Pedri and Trincao's deals were agreed quite a while in advance of the pandemic. Pjanic is a big signing, but was born out of the financial hardships as well. Dest was the only real signing and he isn't on massive wages, at least in comparison to Suarez, Vidal, Rakitic, Arthur etc, all of whom were offloaded. Not saying Barca have been smart with their wages, but last summer wasn't a part of the problem I feel

    Also for a club that produces such great talents from a legendary academy, they seem to always be chasing some big name player to get their signature via a massive wage offer.
    The club needs to get real and rebuild their wage structure and focus on restoring their identity.
    The pandemic may be causing problems but it has highlighted the poor running of the club.....It's been what? 4 seasons? Club needs to get real.

    Barca has a lot of quality from La Masia actually. What I don't understand is to loan/sell gems like Todibo amidst having a bad defense. Now they are planning on selling Alena and idk if I will see Alejandro Balde or Konrad de la Fuente (considering his defensive output he might be a better Left back than a winger) playing for the 1st team amidst finding a replacement for Jordi Alba. Now is the perfect time to play youngsters in some matches and be fully integrated by the next season or two. I don't get them at all.
    The club that found glory from La Masia and signing only when it is necessary is making dumb signing after another.
