What do you compare? One of first day under Xavi, time before training, easy talks with the team.. vs Half time match on World Cup, when Germany loosing the game. It's another type of moment, another emotions, another weight of situation. It cannot be compare.

Indeed. When Xavi arrived there were no locker room rules for puntuality or anything. The team was 9th in la liga. With Xavi we averaged 85 pts per season after 100 matches, only surpassed by Guardiola and Luis Enrique, (who had Messi, Iniesta, Xavi etc and also money to hire anyone they wanted).
Xavi won our first league title after Messi left and the Spanish Supercup (BTW, that was his first complete season as the Barça coach).
Soon after that the board fired the Sports director and football director, Mateu Alemany and Jordi Cruyff, who were Xavi's main support , andDeco was brought in to replace them. Everything went pearshaped afer that. Very important players left or were sold next summer window, most notably Busquets, and no proper replacement was ever brought in, even though Xavi begged for one till he was blue in the face. We just finished 2nd place in La Liga, 85 pts, no trophies this season.
Always the greatest Barça legend, Xavi just forgave 10 million € he was owed by the Club, so he helped them hire his own substitute.
That's the kind of man we are talking about.

Flick is very strict, almost too strict even for a German. Our national team broke under him, but he was one of the most successful coaches ever at FC Bayern. Let's see how FC Barcelona's squad will handle it. If they accept this and trust Flick blindly, they can become as successful as they were 10 years ago. If not, it won't work with Flick and the season will be a disaster.

Second coach who won the sextuple and won the World Cup with Germany as the the right hand of Löw, the tactical mastermind behind Germany 2014. Cruyff - Pep - Flick. The biggest mistake that Laporta made after returning to the presidency was bringing in Xavi as the main coach of Barca. Four years were wasted. It would have been better, and I had hoped for his arrival since Laporta took over the presidency, whether he or Klopp, and making Xavi an assistant coach to gain more experience. He is Flick, gentlemen. He is truly a genius coach

I can only say.. Flick is seen very critically in Germany, despite his six trophy strike with FCB in 2020. People know it was a lot different than normal seasons, it was the major Covid season 19/20 and it came all out of a sudden. After his job in the national team he lost a lot of believe and a lot of German people nowadays believe he is a one time wonder rather than an extremely good coach. I think the truth is in the middle somewhere. But the story about Xavi and Barcelona is an absolute mess. It’s so embarrassing that club. Once “més que un club” and they believed they are the role model and the enemies from Madrid are just a bunch of expensive players and a club without heart. Well, it’s the real opposite in the last decade and it gets worse and worse. And nobody but the club itself is to blame. FC Barcelona is an absolute perfect example of “how to not do things” as if it was planned to be that way. Whenever you think they couldn’t do something as it would be a shame, they prove they can also cross that line. They ended up being total crap and lost so much of their sympathy they had until 10 years ago. It’s really a shame….

Hansi Flick halftime rant was during World Cup 2022 Last group stage game vs Costa Rica. Halftime. Germany leading 1-0. Spain winning against Japan 1-0. Meaning Germany was on track to advance at this point.
Not sure why he is yelling at them like they are losing 3-0, clearly did not work as in the second half ,Costa Rica took a 2-1 lead and Kai Haverts had to bail out Germany with two goals in quick succession, they ended up winning the game, but it didn't matter as Spain ended up losing to Japan.
The real bad performance as against Japan, but still this aggressive halftime talk from Flick was not the right approach
