thanks for you but where is the effect of filled soil on the walls the crticale case is when the tank empty and thers only soil effect.

Hi, Thanks for watching the video and thanks for your comments. Yes, correct.. Water tank to be checked for 2 major cases. One: when tank is empty & soil pressure exist and Two: when tank is full no soil pressure. For time constrain to limit video duration less than 30min, some real time loads are not performed. Soil pressure can be also applied by Considering GA (density) value as 1800-2100kg/m3 in load table as hydrostatic pressure, Also if surcharge pressure to be applied, the same can be added as load type: 'surface on object' in load table.

Hello, will the selfweight of the water not be acting on the floor?

Yes. Two scenarios. One when the tank is empty and Soil pressure. Another is tank is full no soil pressure. In the second scenario need to consider water density. But, considering water weight on slab will not give better results, as net upward pressure get reduced, when tank is full. Better, We can ignore water weight for UG and on ground tanks on floor slab desing.

    Hi,
Can you revise my water tank model? Best regards from Portugal

top slab not included/soil pressure not included

Soil pressure can be considered same as hydrostatic loads only change is density and direction of loads. Top slab are designed is separate video with openings: th-cam.com/video/ZmDI7V18tnE/w-d-xo.html
