JJ is pretty unique with his fire bending. Like Iroh he learned ways to improve his skill by studying other elements. JJ look very much like an earth bending when creating that fire wall
One of the darker episodes from this season - Aang's stubborness to learn fire-bending leading to him hurting Katara was heartbreaking. Jeong Jeong was right all along, Aang was clearly not ready and Zhao being his former pupil made for some juicy drama. Aang learned something from Jeong Jeong, how important self restraint is, which allows him to manipulate Zhao into burning his ships. Thank you for the epic reaction, commentary and discussion, you did a wonderful job ❤
I've never decided whether Roku actually intervened and was wrong or whether Jeong Jeong hallucinated Roku because he was uncertain about refusing the Avatar.
Roku: I have mastered the elements a thousand times in a thousand lifetimes. Now I must do it once again. Me: I have watched reactions to this show a thousand times on a thousand channels. Now I must do it once again.
In aangs defense he’s panicking about his deadline to learn all the other elements. And so far he’s easily picked up most bending disciplines exploring himself. Air and water he just tried things and they worked, he’s naturally so gifted he isn’t used to going slow. So he tries to do the same thing with fire. That confidence and freewheeling enthusiasm is dangerous with fire and he doesn’t understand that till he burns katara.
Momo, The Master of Hiding, shows Appa how it is done. Appa, The Student, then attempts this difficult feat. He fails. He has not yet learned all of the mysterious aspects of the Art of Hiding. But Master Momo is patient. In time the student will learn.
Unfortunately Jon Jon only views fire as destructive, it’s a burden for him, therefore he can’t be the Avatars firebending master! Yes fire can be destructive but it’s the main reason why humanity has developed into what we are today! Magi momo is my favorite character too
No one advised him to stop using fire. For cooking, heating the home, a light source in the end. Fortunately, there are two original masters who will show Aang the nature of fire.
What if Jeong Jeong had met Jet and the lost boys? There’s a story I would like to see. BTW, third and final season of Marvel’s What If? starts next week
Idk I think Jet might still have come up with reasons to hate Jeong Jeong, purely for the fact that he’s a firebender and was once a soldier serving under the firelord, even if he isn’t anymore now. Jet was too blinded by hate, in his mind “fire nation is fire nation and they are always gonna be the bad guys” Obviously I don’t want to spoil anything for the girls but later in the show we get a little bit more context to this, Jet just not being able to let certain things go, I think most of us know what i’m talking about. Jet is the kind of guy who is only motivated by the pain from his childhood and the intense hate he feels for the fire nation, since everything has been taken from him when he was just a small 8 year old boy this has been the only life he knows, he basically doesn’t know any better. But Jet forgot what he’s truly fighting for, he isn’t fighting for “freedom” or “peace”, he is fighting for hate and vengeance, that’s all what drives his cause now. Let’s be honest here, Jet was prepared to kill an entire town full of innocent fire nation civillians, people who didn’t have any part in the war their nation started. Women, children, old people, he felt no remorse to kill all of them to satisfy his vengeance and if Sokka didn’t warn the villagers in time Jet’s mass murder plan would have succeeded. Those villagers didn’t pose any kind of threat, were just trying to live their lives in peace without taking any part in the war and Jet only wanted them killed simply for being from the fire nation and no other reason than that. If Jet was truly okay with something as horrible as that, do you really think he would’ve spared Jeong Jeong? No, Jet would’ve tried to assassinate him as soon as he saw the opportunity, and Jeong Jeong probably would’ve caught onto that long before Jet could make the move and it would’ve ended with one of them dead. Jeong Jeong would either choose to let Jet live because he doesn’t want to kill a young teenager, or he would have killed him but only because there would be no other way to reason with him. I think Jet would probably even refuse to lose to a firebender so as soon as Jeong Jeong turns his back he would still try to take a stab at him, perhaps throw one of his blades to him, and that would leave Jeong Jeong with no other option than to finish the job. Obviously if there would be a fight between them Jeong Jeong would easily win since he’s a master firebender who spend decades honing his skills, but the real question is if Jeong Jeong would really kill Jet or not and I feel like it’s not something he would do unless there’s really no other way.
I was mad at Roku, aang is not ready at all, but I think that's the whole point, he knows aang will fail, and wants him to understand how unready he is, something he can't understand faster than if he hurts someone on accident
Yes, Aang should study fire. But as one blind girl will rightly say: you need to learn from an original source. Alas, it is difficult with fire. For the original source was destroyed at the root for the sake of empty glory.
Yeah, seriously, dude. I know you're only trying to hint at things, but that in of itself is spoiling. The girls are _first-time_ watchers of the show. Instead of hinting, why not just talk about what they've already watched? That's 16 episodes of discussion right there.

@@senhowler That's some interesting food for thought, well said!
The Zuko insult was diabolical 😂😂😂

Ahahaha exact same for this show :)

And you learn something new every time.
Jeong Jeong is a very knowledgeable and patient man

It's a pity Jeong Jeong never met a couple of characters from the final season.

Roku was having NONE of that shit. ❤🐺
Roku is so badass!
Thank you, Magy. ❤️

This will teach Aang not to play with Fire
Where are you two from? That‘s definetly not an american accent you speak. 😉
Anyway… Great Video as always! 👍🏼 Keep going! 🫶🏼 💕
Fire can also heal. :( but it's just not something Jeong Jeong was willing to see outright. Which is understandable
Spoiling ... 🙄
@@Deined It's not a spoiler. Fire cannot literally heal a wound.

I reported this comment.
