Stata Video 11 - Modeling Longitudinal Data with Fixed- and Random-effect

More and more social science studies are in panel designs. Repeated measures violate the OLS assumption of iid errors. In this video clip, we show how to use Stata to estimate fixed-effect and random-effect models for longitudinal data with xtreg command. Also, to get your data ready for Stata, we cover the usage of reshape and xtset commands in Stata 10.

Dear Lofi, Thanks for asking. It has been years since we made those Stata videos. I can't clearly remember the exact source of this example data. But, I am pretty sure that this book will be a very good guidance for us to learn panel data analysis: Multilevel and Longitudinal Modeling Using Stata, 3rd Edition.
