Just loved the point that people there take care of other persons's sleep and silence in general. This is literally a big deal for me. In all my 3 yrs of college, i faced this problem. People in PG (Paying guest) shout like hell all the time.
My university in India cost about 1000$ as a whole including food for 2 sems and the rooms were quite big for just 2 people and a attached bathrooms and was cleaned by cleaners twice a day with separate study tables and clothing wardrobes.

Power cuts in our hostels barely last for a minute(they turn on generators), we have attached bathrooms, my roommate also turns the light off when I need to sleeps and uses a lamp (and I do the same).Food is amazing and included in the hostel fees. The overall cost of hostel is around rs12000
you should agree that hostel life is unmatchable in India even though its dirty and friends are irritating finally those are the memories that are gonna be with us!

There is something called Research and if you do that, you'll know that MIT and Harvard are actually not that expensive compared to many public universities :)
Some best universities are also expensive, but most of them are really good, I'll list some of my favorites: Purdue, Indiana, UCLA, UC Davis, UC San Francisco, and Texas A&M where I'm try to get into
