I've been to San Diego many times but I have yet to post a video from there. I've never seen the Downtown Loop Trolley! This must be new or only on weekends or during specific times. Trust me, I would have noticed it if it was running when I was there.

Ok, I was going to say that it was filmed on a Friday, but after re-watching your video intro, it said June 1 AND 2. I thought it was only filmed on June 1 which is a Friday. I need to read better. lol. Thanks for the great video!
The downtown loop has been existence for many years. it operates seven days a week. Ahh you missed it! It's been in operation since 2011. It is called the Silver Line...en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silver_Line_(San_Diego_Trolley)

There was one PCC car running in the downtown area on a loop. As soon as I saw it pull up to a station I changed my plan and rode it!
Construction is in progress on extending the system north approximately 11 miles to the University City area. Est completion date 2021.

ehh... no MTS Bus Route 992 is the only route to the airpot, taking you downtown. Then, you would need to transfer to route 7 or rapid 215 and stop at balboa park
