What a great rail system! It reminds me of Pittsburgh's light rail, but twice as long, and street running like Baltimore. Great video!

I wish my city Colorado Springs had a tram in downtown

Wont ever happen sadly. I live in the Springs too and not only would half of the people that live here not go for it, there isn't enough people here to justify it.

@@Hedukfan23 We use to have one actually in the 1900s but that was just the norm of every city and town in the US

I definitely prefer the old paint scheme over the newer ones with the advertisements on them. Dunno why, but it makes the actual LRV cars feel more organized.

Seem to get up to a good speed on dedicated track. Properly upholstered bus style seats make a change.

2:06 nice to see a 4-car train! I've been on the RTD W line, and the longest train i saw was three cars, but never one car!
5:38 that station looks cool! too bad I haven't seen it in person yet!
I like how RTD has combined their "streetcar" with the rest of their light rail system! It's the biggest transit rail system I've been on, and the one nearly every major city wants! The only thing I don't like is that there are steep stairs from the low-level doors to your seats!

Most W trains are two cars. They run four-car C and E trains when the Broncos play at home. During peak hours, select D, F and H trains will be four cars. R trains are almost always two cars.

I love the Convention Center Station, which is the one you mentioned. It is much more expansive than that, the platforms are nice and long. I was just recently there, and took the D Line to Broadway and from Broadway the E Line to Lincoln!

No wheel chair access except for few high platforms?

    • @8avexp
      @8avexp 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Every station has an ADA access ramp. The end doors on each car can be isolated and opened separately if a handicapped person needs to board.

The ones with the two light arranged horizontally inward of the headlights, are SD-160 cars and were built in 2003 IINM. They're built to the same design as the older cars (SD-100).

      Hi Nate.
Slick Flair from the group that I administer.
      Anywho,
The older SD100s have folding doors.
The newer SD160s have sliding doors.
They're all high floor. Didn't read the original comment clearly and that's my fault lol
