To anybody whose always been curious about owning your first Glock...Save your time and money, just buy a used unmodified gen 3, if you can still find them!...The Glock 19 Gen 3 was/is the pinnacle of Glock perfection right out the box, even the infamous plastic sights are serviceable for normal reasonable use...every other modification that was ever done afterward was superfluous or pure marketing by the company to try and keep up with Glocks competitors doing the same things to offer alternatives to his product..
Just out of curiosity, why do you say the Gen 3 is the best, what are your reasons? I’m a keep it stock kind of guy. Night sights if you want. A light if it’s your bedside gun. And if it’s a Gen 3, grip enhancements if you need or like. The lack of grip texture on the sides is my only complaint on the Gen 3. I love the texture of the Gen 4 and 5.

I tried my brothers Gen 4 out in Texas a few years back...I swapped him my gen 3 at the range...and I immediately wanted my gen 3 back for the rest of the day....He liked it too.... I feel that it is the best for most users out there. They call this model the "Honda Civic of pistols"....they are everywhere and parts are too! It's internals are compatible with all gen 1-3's. Also the interchangeable back straps on gen 4,5 are kind of stupid...unless you have a very unique palm swell, most glock owners of these guns leave the medium strap on (which is the gen 3 size...) The side texture and finger grooves are a personal choice...I'd prefer no grooves but my fingers happen to fit the finger grooves so I basically don't care...but if you hated them you could always take a dremel to it...It does have an accessory rail which is a plus (necessary if you plan on using it as a bump in the night bedside pistol..)...the slick slide panels were designed that way to reduce chaffing of the skin when edc'ing the gun...but if that isn't a problem then...you could always add some grip tape or stipple the sides...I would say that unless you're a Lefty....Gen 3 is definitely the way to go...
I picked up a new Glock 19 gen 3 about 4 years ago which compliments my Glock 23 nicely. Over time I replaced the sights with night sights and at a local gun show a Glock armorer was offing a package deal on multiple items for one price and he installed them at no charge. My opinion is that most of these replacement items could easily have done by Glock at the factory at the time the pistol was made. I suppose that it gives the aftermarket providers a means to make money from selling items that people want to enhance their pistols. I recently picked up two 33 round factory magazines online and while they are jazzy and I got them at a great price, I have absolutely no idea as to when I will use them. Glocks are like 1911s and you can accessorize them as much as your wallet can handle.
Do not trust people like the Gock store or alike. all they care is about money. The less flash the better. Some of these pricks will flash you to prison. NO JOKE.

Got my hands on a Gen 4, got XS sights installed, dropped and Apex trigger in it (highly recommended), gen 5 striker, magpul magwell, and looking to drop a threaded match grade barrel next. These things are so much fun to modify 💯
The people I know that added a Magwell, got rid of them. Thank God I was never interested in them. I think printing was an issue. I could see if you were a competition shooter. That would make sense. I do not know anybody that does that.-If you want to fake it-(The SCUMBAG-LENNY MCGILL_THE GLOCKSTORE) will sell you a competion shirt for 125.00.
I bought the handle it grips because of you. I went to the range with my buddy who has a Glock 19 too and after shooting mine I shot his and it’s a huge difference when you shoot with the handle it grips.
For my Glocks ; Talon grip, Dawson sights, grip plug& a Ghost connector is all I do. Also I use 33 round Glock magazines & KCI Glock mags for practice or P Mags . Love the granulated grips especially for my G27 & G23 . Nice set-up & TekMat to keep your gun from getting banged up.
I’ve tried the Gen 3 and I definitely need undercuts and possibly removing the finger grooves. They are not comfortable especially because I have big hands. I have a feeling of I purchase the Glock 19 Gen 3 as my 1st gun, it’ll be about $1000 all together with frame work and sights.

I like the feel of the mag-well but I don't want it on my carry if I'm gonna be reloading a 15 round mag. The reason why is because of what happened when you tried to get that mag in.

If I have good grips front and back I think the sides help with my draw time next time you grip your hand gun look how much is your hand touching the side and see how much is gripping front in back and that’s why I love the Gen3!!!🤯🔫🧨
Wish I had the extended mag release when I was in the police academy back in 2019! Cost me the top shot contest at the range. I was going against a department issued G17 with the nice larger mag release. Too broke at the time, could barely afford the gun!😭
The only mods I did on my Glock 19, changed the sights for Hackathorn( I swear by the these, blacked out rear, are great for front sight focus) ghost 3.5 connector and Talon Pro Grips
I wanted to experiment. I installed my stock connector back in my Glock 19, and I didn’t notice any difference in my trigger pull. Maybe I’ve been shooting so much, that it was all purely mental to opt in for the ghost connector. also going to put my stock rear sight back on and just get a sharpie and black out the white u notch.
Definitely, have to upgrade the release...My Gen 2 the release is Great but the Gen 3 is a BIG pain!!!..Might try the extended mag, mine is 7 rounds does that matter?...Excellent video and thanks for the info!

the only thing you do to a glock is put night sights made of steel on it. Then take all the money you wasted on alleged upgrades and buy ammo and train then train some more. glocks work with utter reliability and unmatched performance so all the other stuff other than the sights is purely a waste of money;;;;
I’m not a fan of night sights. I’d go fiber optic sights and weapon mounted light. I like that mag well though. It looks nice and slim while still being able to do its intended job
@@2ATactical1776 night sights are really only going to work well under very low light conditions. When it’s dark enough that night sights are useful you should be using a weapon mounted light. Without a light you can’t positively ID a target. Also the light negates the night sights. Better off with a light and fiber optics
Yeah , night sights are pretty useless if the target is not illuminated, and if the target is illuminated you don't need night sights, but they look very cool

I have a Gen 3 G19 with Punisher skull grips from the same company as yours and a flashlight/green laser. I color filled the lettering on the slide white and it looks great. Great pistol and it fits my hand perfectly.
I got the factory-mag-release-extension. Is that one a little shorter but not as short as the one that comes with it? I have the extended glock magic release it seems a little much. I don’t feel like trying to file it down LOL

I don’t have the money to keep playing with at 20-dollars a pop trying to find a good extended mag release but it looks like I’ve got nothing choice to buy and try the Vickers tactical and find out if it’s just right 🤣. There’s nothing wrong with the plastic guide rod I have a 20 year old G 17 GEN two with 20,000 rounds through it I finally replaced it with another factory Glock plastic no problems.

I like a longer mag release also. On a carry gun you have to be careful not to get one that’s too long though. My test is to lay the gun on its left side and push down a bit. Extended mag releases tend to go off when you carry in shoulder holster or a tactical pouch , many times I found my mag loose inside, I would go with a regular one

Picked one up for $529 at a local Sportsman store online during their july 4th sale $20 off. Most places in the central valley have em for 545-575. I live closer to bay area and theyre askin $729 to $799 for a G19!
Check turners. The last time I called, they had the glock 19 with night sights for $629. I just bought one for $599 at a local gun shop in Orange County but my ass had to wait like 3.5 months on a waiting list until they finally got one for me.
I like upgrading my Glocks as well. I put in steel pins. Gen3 are about 3 pins, Gen4 If I recall 4 pins. In addition I go nits and have a steel rear plate installed. If I recall they run fron 10-15,00. I refuse to have anything but a blank rear slide cover. There are many different designs available. Just check out the scumbag Lenny McGill (The Glockstore) prick. He will sell anything from the punisher logo to even worse. This prick will help put you in prison, if it would put a dime of profit in his pocket. This is true. He would not do it on his gun but he will on youurs for a fee. Who in their right mind would have engraved on the slide of their Glock pistol "ONE SHOT ONE KILL" that is right -he will gladly do it for you. . That is why you want to keep you mods modest. Grip plugs are absolutely unnecessary and a waste of money, that chamber does not expose the action to dust.
Grip plug will not allow you to strip out a mag if needed

In the beginning it did a little bit. But over time, the grip becomes less aggressive against your clothing.
All you need to do is add night sights!!! Otherwise leave that gun alone and let it do it's thing

The OEM mag release was a bit more flushed against the grip. It didn’t stick out much, which made it a bit cumbersome.

I always like to swap out the grooved trigger for a smooth one.
Yes, the grooved trigger is not comfortable and so unnecessary.

The sandpaper looks dark grey/charcoal and the black rubber grip is as black as the G19 grip..

Check turners. The last time I called, they had the glock 19 with night sights for $629. I just bought one for $599 at a local gun shop in Orange County but my ass had to wait like 3.5 months on a waiting list until they finally got one for me.

I like upgrading my Glocks as well. I put in steel pins. Gen3 are about 3 pins, Gen4 If I recall 4 pins. In addition I go nits and have a steel rear plate installed. If I recall they run fron 10-15,00. I refuse to have anything but a blank rear slide cover. There are many different designs available. Just check out the scumbag Lenny McGill (The Glockstore) prick. He will sell anything from the punisher logo to even worse. This prick will help put you in prison, if it would put a dime of profit in his pocket. This is true. He would not do it on his gun but he will on youurs for a fee. Who in their right mind would have engraved on the slide of their Glock pistol "ONE SHOT ONE KILL" that is right -he will gladly do it for you. . That is why you want to keep you mods modest.
