Not sure why, but TH-cam did a weird thing with the Chapter marks on the video. To just reiterate: Reaction starts at - 02:22 Post reaction commentary starts at - 28:32 Thank you so much for joining us on this incredible Red Dwarf journey!! This show was such a surprise addition for the channel and we wouldn't take back one moment of it!!
I found you through these reactions. It was great to relive the nostalgia of seasons 1-6 through you, then discover seasons 7-present along with you. Thanks for the memories, GG. Kipper breakfast.
To The End And Beyond or From The End To The Beginning maybe might be a good titles for Red Dwarf content after this. And maybe some questions for the Gals from the dwarf. Like if you could be cast in a all female reboot of red dwarf which character would you like to play. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I love the 'moonlight' monologue so much. To see how far the characters have come since series 1. To see how far Craig Charles' acting has come since series 1. It's a rare on-screen glimpse of the heart-warming centre of this silly space sit-com. It's been a lovely three million year journey with pals. Here's to the next trip. *performs an extra long salute reserved for the especially important.*
It actually reminded me of the "Marooned" episode from series 3...just a heart to heart between Lister and Rimmer... the throwbacks in the movie are subtle but blend in with fresh content perfectly.
That scene between Lister & Rimmer on Moonlight is a beautiful moment that highlights how far they've come since Series 1 and also Lister giving Rimmer a high five after saving Red Dwarf is just the best.
End of an era! and I totally returned the super special Rimmer salute! From a Dwarfer that was there the first time round, it has been a joy to see younger people finding this absolute gem of a show!
That scene where Lister talks down Rimmer made me finally realise how he keeps him sane. Lister needs to feel like a good and moral person. Rimmer being such a wreck lets Lister show him occasional kindness and sympathy, which Lister can see as wholly altruistic as Rimmer never reciprocates or is grateful. The rest of the time, Rimmer’s horribleness makes Lister push back, keeping him centred.
This went out on my birthday, during lockdown, and I was so glad to have them back. It's a bit odd that the ultimate Cat episode is more of a Lister episode but if there are no more, I'm happy with this as a finale. I've looked forward to these reactions and it's a shame we've reached the end, but thanks for the ride.
The number of people who say don't watch season 1 of this or Blackadder or Babylon 5 or whatever, really miss the point. Seeing these shows evolve into what they become is half the fun of rewatching. Thanks for giving us the chance to do that again. It was fun.
I get it with Blackadder, it's a very, very different feel, and each season is somewhat independent. For Red Dwarf and Babylon 5 though they are completely wrong!
@@neilbiggs1353I agree with Blackadder. It wasn't until the committed to having Blackadder be stuck with dumber people above and below his rank that they found the secret sauce that makes the show work

It's been an absolute pleasure to watch your reaction to one of my favourite shows. I've been watching for that year and a half. You girls are SO awesome 🖖🫡
A stopgap during the strike has turned into an epic journey for Kat and Paula. It's been fun watching Red Dwarf with them from the beginning. If the show had ended at series 8- which appeared to be the case for such a long time - I would always have been unhappy. The Dave era has been a joy and this was great. The cat peoples fate has been hanging about since the first series, it was fun, some great jokes and Listers moonlight speech to Rimmer was touching. I'm hoping the new episode(s) do get made - but If The Promised land does turn out to be the last then I'm satisfied.
Damn. I remember thinking "its gonna be ages until they get to the Ace Rimmer episode". Now it seems like it was over so quick. It was a blast watching you guys go through the show. Hopefully there will be more some day.
If you folk are ever looking for a short show to do, In The Flesh is only 9 episodes in total, it was a series about Zombie 'rehab', which goes the whole gamut of emotions. It dives in to some deep topics, but also has a few light moments. Glad you had so much fun with the series, I hope Paula has given Matthew the appropriate thanks for pointing it out to her! Now she has to share it with the Brothers Murph... Feel sorry for Kat though, what will happen now there isn't a new Cat outfit regularly?
It's been a journey of 3 million years. I look forward to your watching whatever is next, which I'm sure will be Luna, or Galloping Galaxies, or The Tripods, or Space 1999, or K9 and Company, or Terrahawks, or Max Headroom, or something even weirder than those.
Been here since The End... *cough* I mean the Beginning. And its been wonderful following your journey through Red Dwarf, it has been absolutely hilarious! Thank you Paula and Kat!
I've loved this show since I found it on PBS on Saturday nights back when I was in middle school. It was just before Doctor Who. And, much like The Doctor has a companion, at least in part, so he can see the wonders of the universe anew through their eyes, it's been marvelous watching you experience this show I love for the first time.
I wanted to thank you both for providing the sunshine every Wednesday to make my moon light. I have enjoyed going on this journey with you so much and i hope we will get some more Red Dwarf in future. Rimmer salute... much love ❤
Thanks so much for all your Red Dwarf reactions. The highlights for me was Paula's reaction to the tone shift from Series 2 to Series 3, Kat loving all the Cat costumes, Paula saying after Red Dwarf exploded "they better not be on this stupid little ship now" or something like that, my massive disappointment when you liked my least favourite episode "Tikka to Ride", the reaction to the start of "Stoke Me a Clipper"... (not sure why that episode gives me chills), when you cried at the end of Holoship, the awesomeness that was Series 8, your reactions to all of that was incredible, especially Chris Barry's performances (the long salute 😂) and Kat's reaction to Mr Rat. I was eager to see the Mr Rat reaction as far back as Series 1. Can't wait to find out what the next show is (I hope it's something I know). Also looking forward to the return of the Lower Deck reactions 😀
Such fun, only thing missing was The Cat hitting on the cat women, some lost opportunities for silliness there! :) The Cat gets some killer one-liners in this one!
How wonderful to have got all the way up to date with you both. What a total joy it's been. January has kicked me in the head, so the escapism you provide is beyond measure. Thank you. (keep up the juggling, Kat)
I'm gonna miss these videos. Watched since TH-cam recommended me back in Series One. Thank you for allowing me to experience my favourite show in a different way!
The "You're moonlight" bit is one of my favourite sections of new Dwarf. I've referenced it to somebody that was struggling and thought of it myself at times. You might not seem to matter or even exist, but you do and you're noticed and needed. Pointless? Or other one stuff? Other one stuff isn't a bad thing, it's needed, because the others don't do it, but you do.
Can't believe we're finally here! As mentioned, I was lucky enough to go see the first half of this episode recorded! I think it is such a good episode, even though Back To Earth is classed as a movie, this is way more cinematic! The Moonlight scene always makes me tear up! It shows how much Lister and Rimmer's relationship has grown from just to people stuck together. Will be sad to see les Red Dwarf content on the channel (hoping to sub to the patreon later this year), but I look forward to seeing more content here. (P.s. please watch The Owl House at some point! It's so good!)
This got quite a bit of buzz being shown in the early days of lockdown. I really hope they can get another story made as this new format is fun. Thank you both for your passion and joy for this wonky old British sci-fi show. The way you took to those (now very old) early series was so nice to see and it's been brilliant to be on the journey with you.
Well done for polishing off the whole show - it's been an absolute blast! Discovered you via your Red Dwarf videos, sticking around for everything else!
I wonder if Paula and Kat thought they would fall in love with this show the way they have when they first started? I love how the dumb gags still hit home XD
If there's no more Red Dwarf, I'd be more than happy for this to be the end. I have been a fan of the show since the very beginning in 1988 and I like how Rimmer and Lister are with each other here. I don't really need any more, if I'm honest.

The writers forgot something. There is a 200 year time jump between season 5 and 6 when the crew were in stasis. Unless the cats have a very long lifespan, Cat's brother should be dead. I do love that Rimmer was in black and white because that is how Doug Naylor and Rob Grant wanted Rimmer to look like back in season 1 but it would have been far too expensive.

Been along with you the entire time, great fun. You should watch a completely different show called Sapphire and Steel. Incredible low budget, almost play like, but done so well dark sci fi that the brits do so well.
Holy Hell, they did it. I was so sure they'd bail after season one, or the strikes ended, whichever happened first. Nope, Red Dwarf is so good, it got 'em. 😁
Its funny but ive had at least 2 cats in my life that would go through Cat Doors like that guy does (and they were both kinda sissy bottom of the hierarchy cats), and every time they'd do it so slowly they'd end up with their tails getting stuck on occasion... its those little details you can really appreciate Thankfully they didn't do it like my Toby (rip) used to, he would run full speed at the door headfirst and with a very loud bang almost (and sometimes literally did) smash the flap out of its frame as he flew through it in a single leap... the complete opposite of the others. Someone down comments mentioned the 80s Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy TV mini series, id second that one, a very faithful if low budget TV adaption of the first radio show and books.
It's crazy that you've now watched all of Red Dwarf, it's been a wild ride watching these reactions, fun fact after how much I disliked back to earth I never watched anything that came after, I'm not sure when but at one point throughout your reactions I decided to check out the new episodes and I loved it, so thank you for that. It does beg the question, what will take this slot moving forward. Will it be another British comedy? if it is, if nether of you have seen it I recommend Red Dwarf
Stumbled upon Paula doing an actual play of Blade Runner and it was fantastic. Have you considered doing an actual play on this channel or for the Patreon? There is a Dr Who ttrpg and a Star Trek ttrpg …there’s even a Red Dwarf ttrpg! I think it would awesome to see both of you having fun doing characters

It was announced in the news just this week that future Red Dwarf productions might be in jeopardy due to funding issues, so this might be the final offering from the boys from the dwarf.
Hi GG, With RED DRAWF coming to an end a suggestion for a new series, I have to approach this without giving away spoilers so the reaction of done isn't ruined Allo allo, Setting WW2 France, Centred around Rene a cafe owner, Everyone speaks english but with the accent of the country the character is from, No one understands anyone else with an accent leading to hilarious misunderstandings, Definately worth doing episode 0 series 1. Well gals , you're up to date with Red Dwarf and Dr Who . It's been a great ride . I enjoyed this one , some great cat jokes , Holly returns , some great effects and Rimmer finally being a hero . A satisfying end if the rumours are true about the new episodes . I do hope you consider Farscape , or Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy ( BBC series ) in the future .
Craig Charles gave an interview to Radio Times where he said the financing for the proposed new episodes fell through. He feels it will never happen now. I like to never say never again
I loved this TV special. I thought it was great - much better than Back to Earth. They are planning to make another special but looks like its currently held up in scheduling.

Been along with you the entire time, great fun. You should watch a completely different show called Sapphire and Steel. Incredible low budget, almost play like, but done so well dark sci fi that the brits do so well.
Hope they do BlackAdder
The books are great.
Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers, Better Than Life, Last Human, Backwards.
Chris Barrie does a brilliant job with the audio books.
Season 1 is my comfort food. It's gotten me through some baddd years.
Thank you for these reactions. I've thoroughly enjoyed watching you explore this world.Fanssmeggingtastic.
So whats next? Farscape? Firefox? There's quite a gap to fill! :-)
Holy Hell, they did it. I was so sure they'd bail after season one, or the strikes ended, whichever happened first. Nope, Red Dwarf is so good, it got 'em. 😁
Its funny but ive had at least 2 cats in my life that would go through Cat Doors like that guy does (and they were both kinda sissy bottom of the hierarchy cats), and every time they'd do it so slowly they'd end up with their tails getting stuck on occasion... its those little details you can really appreciate
Thankfully they didn't do it like my Toby (rip) used to, he would run full speed at the door headfirst and with a very loud bang almost (and sometimes literally did) smash the flap out of its frame as he flew through it in a single leap... the complete opposite of the others.
Someone down comments mentioned the 80s Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy TV mini series, id second that one, a very faithful if low budget TV adaption of the first radio show and books.
now yall can move on to the expanse! best scifi show ever
What a journey. Glad you enjoyed it :)
It's been so nice to watch your reactions for red dwarf congratulations on getting to the end for now at least
I just realised I said I recommend Red Dwarf... I meant Blackadder, I recommend Blackadder. I'm a dum dum sometimes
Stumbled upon Paula doing an actual play of Blade Runner and it was fantastic. Have you considered doing an actual play on this channel or for the Patreon? There is a Dr Who ttrpg and a Star Trek ttrpg
…there’s even a Red Dwarf ttrpg!
I think it would awesome to see both of you having fun doing characters
Paula is sooo pretty I love her. She’s adorable
Congratulations girls. You've finished reacting to all the episodes of Red Dwarf. If you're looking for a new British Sci-Fi show to react to, I highly recommend Space: 1999.
Blake's 7!
Maybe another comedy, like My Hero.
@@LowbrowDeluxe let's take one Ardel o'Hanlon step to the left and say Father Ted.
I second "Blake's 7"!
Love Fiji 🏝️🏝️🏝️
It was announced in the news just this week that future Red Dwarf productions might be in jeopardy due to funding issues, so this might be the final offering from the boys from the dwarf.
Such bull when they fund the most awful drek imaginable but loved, established shows, nahhhh.
Hi GG,
With RED DRAWF coming to an end a suggestion for a new series,
I have to approach this without giving away spoilers so the reaction of done isn't ruined
Allo allo,
Setting WW2 France,
Centred around Rene a cafe owner,
Everyone speaks english but with the accent of the country the character is from,
No one understands anyone else with an accent leading to hilarious misunderstandings,
Definately worth doing episode 0 series 1.

Does it have to be Sci-fi? If not then I highly recommend Life on Mars followed by Ashes to Ashes.
@@MrMadshepherd I always thought of Life On Mars as Sci-Fi but maybe it's Sci-Fi adjacent
Craig Charles gave an interview to Radio Times where he said the financing for the proposed new episodes fell through. He feels it will never happen now. I like to never say never again
Another promised quality cat video!
may the dwarf be with you always.
Hoping for "Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy" TV series...
The radio series are epic . The tv series is good and it's in a similar vein to Red Dwarf .
The US version pilot is kicking around online somewhere
I loved this TV special. I thought it was great - much better than Back to Earth. They are planning to make another special but looks like its currently held up in scheduling.
The end of this fantastic journey. The natural thing to do next is BBC's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!! It's sci-fi, it's funny, it's one of the cleverest things ever written!!
Dang you Pals with your contagious y-a-w-n-ing! 🥱 ..but Congrats on making the full circle on 'Space Cats' (AKA Red Dwarf).. it's been an absolute blast reliving 30 years on this absurdly funny journey. 🥳 Bless you, Pals, and stoke me clipper! 🤪
I could have been God given the lucky show biz break Rimmer had.
