- Picking a house to teach in Three Houses might just be the hardest decision I've made in recent memory. Are you struggling to decide between the three? I just finished my blue lions playthrough. It's so crazy how attached you get to them, whatever house you choose. I'm starting over again this time black eagles and while its exciting to see whats different, it was hard to not pick blue lions again. Seeing them all young again, They feel like my kids, my team. Best ones lol

@@Scissorhead6 I played Golden Deer. In my next playthrough, the Blue Lions, I'll only recruit the ones from Golden Deer. And in Edelgard I won't recruit anyone. (I'll use the faculty members for the Church.)

This decision is really easy actually. What you do is research each character painstakingly, figure out what you want your end game team to look like, put all that information in a complex spreadsheet. Then, you realize Dorothea is best girl, delete the spreadsheet, and pick Black Eagles.
Please remove your cameras from my office. XDD
This may be exactly what I did.
Or do as I. Don't research anything. Find out about this months after publishment and choose black eagles because...... well just becase. (Love them so much)
Or pick any house you like and recruit Dorothea. Either one works, lol.
I actually went without the spreadsheet and looked at the fact that Ashe has the ability to unlock chests. I chose the Blue Lions accordingly. Didn't realize the Lockpick ability is almost useless in the game until very much later. As I went with a female Blyleth, Ashe seemed like the best option for S rank support later on. And I'm going to follow through with that goal (still not finished with the one story line after 90+ hours of playing). I also didn't look at any of the story developments before and I can confirm the fact that they do feel like a family after a bit of playing.
Still my first task after learning that recruiting is possible was to get Dorothea to join. It's a shame the recruited students don't appear in the cutscenes later on though.
I've had to laugh hard at a bit of similarity Manuela has with one of my former work collegues (which you get to experience through some support cutscenes). Although Alois makes for the best cutscenes. Shamir + Alois starting with "Alois?" - "WAAAAH A GHOST!!" accompanied by his facial expression was just incredible. Some of the more philosophical questions and semi-answers on the other supporting cutscenes are actually quite deep for a game.

I just finished a BL play through and now I’m on GD. My goal was to play through all 3 with only original students from each house, but I HAD to bring Ashe in. Can’t hurt my boy. Decided he can be my dancer so that his amazing bow work doesn’t take over the run.

Blue Lions: We got the best starting tank, the best off tank, the best healer, and the easiest characters to build for mobility.

I didn’t care what house I chose when I first played the game, so I just went to black eagles because they have magic and that seemed cool. That was until I met Marianne and immediately restarted the game to go to Golden deer. The best Waifu ever in my opinion.

I picked Blue Lions since it had 3 of my 4 best boys in the game (Ashe, Sylvain, and Felix, the other being Claude but he isn't Blue Lions). I plan to do future playthroughs though. Like my plan is:
Finish Blue Lions route, S support Ashe
Golden Deer, S support Claude (Leonie if I do another playthrough w/ male Byleth, mad she isn't an F|F option but Edelgard is)
Black Eagles, S support Bernadetta or Linhardt (Linhardt has the better post timeskip for me, though pre timeskip Bernadetta is adorable)

Actually, I'm pretty sure a lot of Empires had Prime Ministers, even when the Emperor had complete power. The Chinese Empire comes to mind as well as the Korean Empire. They lead the administrative branches among other things.

Yep! Choose one and you understand Edelgard and really want to support her. Your influence keeps her from going overboard. Choose the other and she becomes a power hungry tyrant that must be stopped. Both are great stories

I'm loving this game so far.

In the black eagles route we learn that the eyepatch is actually fake lol
Fuck off, it's real.
Yeah, the eyepatch only appeared in Golden Deer, Blue Lions, and Black Eagles - Silver Snow. It's due to him being tortured in those routes, but not in Crimson Flower because he was never tortured.
That's because there's no coup in the Edelgard route.

for me back when I was trying to choose my house I liked the blue lions cast the most, but claude was my favorite leader (he's FUCKING HOT). And since you can recruit the other students (aside from a select few) while in no case could Claude be recruited, I went with Golden Deer.
I'm still not quite finished with the game yet (nearly finished though), but from what I've seen of the route so far.... I don't know that I'd have the heart to take on any of the other two routes in my future runs lmao. This route I feel like I'd feel the most satisfied with the ending.
And once I heard Claude's "I'm hurt... but I'm with you" line............ I don't know that I could ever choose to not be on his side at all times ;~;
Just PLEASE make sure to pair Felix with Annette - any other paired ending for him outside of Blue Lions is bittersweet at best
If I can ever manage to afford a Switch, I'll probably go Blue Lions because I spy some wonderful boys.

I think I'm gonna create three saves prior to picking my house and choose a different one in each save then try them each a little before I decide which one to focus on first then go back and play the other two later.
There is new game plus tho so, if you care about that it may be preferential to just have the one save. If you even care about the little bonus's of that.

in countries, where there was a ruling monarch and a prime minister/chancellor, it typically resulted in one or the other taking the lead, or the monarch giving the PM a general directive/goal and the PM handling the details and actual implementation of policies, to varying degrees of obedience to said directive/goal.
I love that depending on which house you choose greatly alters how you experience the story. Did GD first and BL I almost finished.

Did my first playthrough with black eagles. Loved the shit out of those guys. Started my second playthrough with golden deers and ended up recruiting half of the black eagles replacing most of the golden deers lmao. They were so good i had to use them again the second time around.

As someone who picked Black Eagles, the Black Eagles crew really is pretty good. Even after recruiting everyone you can, I still wind up using them. Well I mean, I switch out Ferdinand for Leonie, and bring in Ingrid. And Lysithea when an extra space opens.
I just found out that I can't keep Hilda and Claude if I do Black Eagles route and I am *devastated*

I did Edelgard's route first, doing Blue Lions now, will do Golden Deer next, and finish off with Black Eagles Church route. And Petra is best Waifu in this game. Her bond stories are amazing!

Same, the only ones I couldn't manage to recruit were Petra, Ferdinand, Lindheart, and Ingrid.

After the first play-through, you can start a "New Game+," where you can spend your renown points to reinvest the skills and/or support that you worked so hard to raise. Second and subsequent play-throughs, you can much more easily recruit the students from the other houses, some right off the bat if you've invested in the right skills.
Ingrid is so fantastic. I recruited her to Golden Deer and she immediately scolded all the boys in class... Still going with Leonie, even though her support, well, it has a mechanical quirk that spoiled something for me.
Interesting! I'll have to keep my eye on Leonie. I recruited Ingrid to the Black Eagles, and her dialogue with Bernadetta is pretty hilarious haha
I have 2 weeks of complete time to cover a route from start to finish, as such which of the three houses can i cover in that time.
Hmmm, I say the Black Eagle route would be the shortest, but you have to side with Edelgard, no matter what. But also realize that each house tells a slightly different story, so there is merit to completing each one.
