It seems you will need to work with them to provide what they want in terms of growth, (For example, Mercedes will require certain skill levels in Magic and Bows before she'll join you if you want her on the Black Eagles or Golden Deer) but so far it's been confirmed you can bring over at least 1 (maybe 2 or 3? - but there are also ways to 'soft' recruit other students for a period of time and they can't level up and stuff so they may have done that too in that video.) students from other houses. Meaning the best way to go about picking a house is to pick the one with the most students that you like, then any other ones you're super torn on you should be able to recruit if you try hard enough! You will not be able to recruit the other lords though, as that would mess with the story, I'm sure. Any characters that are the lords' retainers, like Hubert, will unfortunately also not be recruitable in other houses. That just wouldn't make sense for them to ditch the character they're connected to. Thank you for watching!
For me, the black eagles are ok Edelgard is great and Bernadetta is cute, I agree with you on the fact that most of the people on the blue lions have the best designs overall, and golden deer have my favorite girls (Hilda, Lysithea and Marianne)

This is really hard. Claude is my favorite lord because of his design and personality/character traits. Blue lion has some of my favorite units introduced and I love the magic focus of black eagles. It's now a close tie between Claude and Dmitri.
Most of the characters that I'm interested in are from the Black Eagles. Guess I'll go with that. I really don't like Dimitri that much...he seems like just a blond Ephraim for me... 😅
Do what I did, look at the characters screen and choose which one ypu like, dont like, and are neutral.I chose golden deer as it had more units I liked than disliked.

Blue Lions and looks to be an interesting storyline. Pure speculation but it looks like grounded real life politics, drama, less fantastic and more down-to-earth and gritty. Definitely curious if I'll look back and laugh at my prediction for being so off in the coming months.
Damn it, the Blue Lions have *easily* the most interesting set of students, but also the most boring lord in my opinion. Gonna have a hard time deciding between a cool lord vs cool students.

According to all the information aviable, Marketing wants you to chose Black Eagles or Blue Lions, considering the lack of information regarding Golden Deer. I'm torn between choosing blue lions and black eagles. I like the characters more from black eagles, but the weapon/class types from blue lions. Seeing as you get a lot of flexibility with building units, I'm leaning towards eagles but I can't really say for sure until we know more about the game.

Dimitri is a name of Greek origin, also most of students from his kingdom have French or Spanish names, Slavic names would be Yaroslav, Volodumyr, Vsevolod and so on, red empire has German coat of arms and a lot of German names, yellow alliance is a mix of French, Nordic and Latin

It's super cool as a latecomer to this came (I picked it up in 2021 and didn't really pay attention to it prior) to see all the speculation that was going on pre-release, and what was gotten right and wrong.
I'm picking Claude and the Golden Deer without a doubt in my mind. I love FE archers, even the GBA ones, so an archer playthrough is obvious run for me.

Yellow: Most interesting lord and character in Claude, but the rest of the team is kinda 'meh' for me. Blue: Least interesting lord, but the rest of the team actually peaks my interest in a huge way. Red: They exist kinda in between everything. Nothing stands out for me, but nothing is bad at the same time. I'm torn between Yellow and Blue at the moment... But really hoping we get to pick up everyone eventually.
Blue Lions, i love lance and spear. I dont doubt that character will be able to use all weapons independent on the house you selected. (I plan to play in all paths but Blue Lions so far it is house that i personally would join as character)

If you play Feh, think about how many infantry axe units we have that are actually good without extensive work, very few are speedy too. And golden deer leader seems like he’d be the most interesting of the 3 due to his underlying nature

Same, though I'm going Golden Deer even though Mercedes really does appeal to me. That said, the Golden Deer have Hilda and as a huge Sera fan I already love her. If they do it right, Blue Lions’ story might be the best, or at least Dimitri’s. Just look at it. Felix calls Dimitri a “boar” and has major blood, he has to be important, Dimitri has some weird sadness to him, and Dedue owes something to Dimitri. I really like the designs for Golden Deer. But Blue Lions units are more my type in classes. But Black Eagles look so cool!!! I also look forward to the possibilities of teachers joining as well!
For stories, it appears to me that Blue Lions highlights the conflicts between the three housed, the Golden Deer highlights the war from 1000 years ago, the church highlights Rhea's actions and the origin of Sothis, while the Black Eagles is what Fates Conquest should have been. I only played the Church's route, and never really liked it too much however. Hoping the other ones are better.

Yeah I much prefer the variety of Blue Lions students to the others.
Blue Lions and looks to be an interesting storyline. Pure speculation but it looks like grounded real life politics, drama, less fantastic and more down-to-earth and gritty.

Damn it, the Blue Lions have *easily* the most interesting set of students, but also the most boring lord in my opinion. Gonna have a hard time deciding between a cool lord vs cool students.
I personally would go with cooler students because they at least outnumber the lord and you seem to get a lot of opportunities to interact with them.
his personality might turn out to be favorable if the plot line is as twisted as they said and you have to go through all of that with him though. (I'm choosing the blue lion even though the lord is kinda a stereotype cold, handsome young man and cross fingers I got to love him in the end

According to all the information aviable, Marketing wants you to chose Black Eagles or Blue Lions, considering the lack of information regarding Golden Deer.
That said, Im going with Golden Deer because Lorenzo is best Pepe and Leonie looks like the Straigh-forward / tomboyish type of girl, which I adore.

I wasn't even anticipating it, but the moment I saw that cover again at 2:46 I burst out in laughter. Can't believe it's the official design, it looks hilarious with the way Claude is nonchalantly defying gravity with that look on his face.
Yellow: Most interesting lord and character in Claude, but the rest of the team is kinda 'meh' for me.
Blue: Least interesting lord, but the rest of the team actually peaks my interest in a huge way.
Red: They exist kinda in between everything. Nothing stands out for me, but nothing is bad at the same time.
I'm torn between Yellow and Blue at the moment... But really hoping we get to pick up everyone eventually.

If you play Feh, think about how many infantry axe units we have that are actually good without extensive work, very few are speedy too. But on the other hand, you got your Noble Man who may have a rough journey with students that also make me smile, including a devoted gentle giant, a motherly figure, a stuck up prick who probably has more to him, and freckled face cutie. (Yes I would also already die for Ashe)

If they do it right, Blue Lions’ story might be the best, or at least Dimitri’s. Just look at it. Felix calls Dimitri a “boar” and has major blood, he has to be important, Dimitri has some weird sadness to him, and Dedue owes something to Dimitri.
But then again, I don’t have a Switch, and I won’t in at least 6-7 years, so that’s that.

For stories, it appears to me that Blue Lions highlights the conflicts between the three housed, the Golden Deer highlights the war from 1000 years ago, the church highlights Rhea's actions and the origin of Sothis, while the Black Eagles is what Fates Conquest should have been. I only played the Church's route, and never really liked it too much however. Hoping the other ones are better.
