Poor people can't afford to have the temptation of a decadent mentally degrading life, thus are saved from the real struggles by the benevolent rich elites who are have taken upon themselves to save the humanity at a great cost to their own souls.

It's really great to see mental health approached in mainstream media. While I don't share the wealth or ethnicity, this film addresses my needs as a human in a way that few films ever could. The stigmas we associate with mental health, wealth inequality, and the asian culture as a whole have long been left unchallenged and now we can begin to heal as a society.

It's a pity Peter didn't mention 'It's a Wonderful Life', the ironically titled film about a bipolar man who suffers a psychotic break and imagines seeing an angel, leading to an obviously hallucinatory ending.
I suppose it's because Capra cut out the final minute of film where George's delusion of the townsfolk bailing him out melts away to see his dead body floating down the freezing river. Sure, if he'd left that shot in it would have been a little obvious (and similar to 'Owl Creek Bridge') but I think that cutting it out has led to a lot of people missing the subtext.

The movie was so incredibly cliché and corny. Average girl marrying a handsome billionaire with a troubled family. Smh

Despite my appreciation for Petey’s assessment, I must disagree with his notion that individuals no longer must be crazy, rich, or Asian. To get rich you hold to have a screw loose, look at Jordan Belfort, John Daly, and Bruce Cassidy. All rags to riches story, all crazy. However, none of these men could subdue their rampant craziness with their absurd amounts of wealth because they were not Asian. Mao, Tiger Woods, and Bill Gates have succeeded because of their heritage or prolonged influence from the Far East. In short, agree to disagree

I think the title means stinkin' rich, let's try that- Stinkin' Rich Asians, with the apostrophe. Stinkin' Rich Asians. I like it a little better and in my Nankipoo costume I could sell it.

Obviously this is just funny on the surface, but does anyone else think they're also referencing Crazy Ex Girlfriend? It has a kinda similar name and is actually about the things he's talking about. Idk.
