SIXCKIM - VIDA URBANA [BEHIND THE SCENES]

When the legendary and iconic Angolan Hip Hop superstar released his hit single "Vida Urbana" translated (Urban Life), he sought to work with none other than the South African prolific music video producer and director Sello Nahshon Khaoli.
Sixckim had at the time moved from his native country of Angola to South Africa to record his first hip-hop EP, while also studying in Pretoria. He commissioned Sello Nahshon Khaoli and his partner Thabo Motloung through Bazala Entertainment to conceptualize, produce and direct a music video that would bring his lyrics to life.
The video was filmed in the back alleys of Hillbrow and at OliKha Studios over a period of two days. Cinematography and lighting was undertaken by Nic Mphahlele and Steven Ndou respectively, and production coordination by Thabo Motloung, while Sello Nahshon Khaoli served as Director and Editor.
The single and accompanying music video became a smash hit in Angola and is still on heavy rotation on various music TV channels.
