Hatch is doing great, and has been on more camping adventures with us. The California trip should be the last one from before we adopted him 🐕 We love that everyone is such a fan of him! Safe travels!
Lake Tahoe is such a beautiful area . I went out to Reno in 2004 for a bowling tournament so we had a day off so me and three friends rented a car and drove all around Lake Tahoe and other areas in Nevada . Was awesome . So nice I get to see the scenery again in your video . I'm sure you enjoyed it minus the gas prices .Yum chicken and dumplings is one of my favorite comfort foods especially when its cold out .
As you overlooked Emerald Bay and drove around it, there was "Vikingsholm" down below (built 1929 by Mrs. Lora Josephine Knight, with lots of "imported" Scandinavian craftsmen)...you could see a little of its beach in front of the house (at 6:07). It's a California State Park now so it's open to the public. You get to it by private boat or party/tour-boat (hence its beach and docks for boats) or in your vehicle: You park above it in the parking lot (by Hwy 89) and hike down the winding 1-mile trail to the house. Then hike back up to the parking lot. Not too bad though as the "trail" is a wide dirt/access-road (off-limits to visitors' cars/trucks) so nothing extreme. Even so, going down the trail is easier than going UP it (500 ft in elevation). If not in good physical shape, do not attempt it (they warn you!). ;-) You could also see the tiny Fannette Island in the bay that she built a "Tea House" at the top of it (it's in ruins now though). IIRC, the falls were part of her property also. Happy Travels, -- BR
Oh wow! Thank you for all this info! There was still so much we didn’t get to see (like the other half of the lake!), this place is definitely added to our list for next time. Safe travels!
Once again you nailed this video. The color of everything was beautiful and the quality of the video was very good. Thank you. See you next journey you take us on.
Where is your dog? I so hope I’m wrong, it since you just posted this, with no dog, it would appear that you’ve already gave him up. If that is the case I’m appalled, disappointed, and will work to ensure that you your TH-cam efforts are toast.
Very, very nice video. I love the travel experiences you all do right here in the USA. Many blessings and be safe. ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you! 🤗 we love discovering beautiful places right here at home.
Really need to see a current video of the dog you adopted.

BS. I am already assured that these two self serving people have gave up the dog. I’m sure the dog was too inconvenient for these two. Pathetic.
I’m betting these two self serving folks have already got rid of the dog.
They’ve ditches the dog.

How awesome! I’m glad we were able to take you back to Tahoe. And that meal is definitely going to be our go-to on cold evenings. See you next time!
@@thewaywedidit Chicken and dumplings is an easy meal to prepare .

Thank you so much! ☺️ it was such a fun video to make. We’re glad you enjoyed it as much as we did!
Cool vid! What type of remote work do you do, if you dont mind.
Thanks! Dave does marketing freelance work, and I manage our TH-cam channel and do freelance photography editing.
