Nice Guys! Question: the side lights on the mirror switch off at about 6 mph don't they? How did you fix that?
I enjoyed your video 👍
Happy to hear! 🤗
In "North America" further more "Paved". In fact three of the highest paved roads in North America are in CO. But there are higher roads in America. South America. A common error of Americans to think the US is America. "America is both north and south".aka the continent . I am addicted to your short format videos. Straight forward no nonsense. It tells me what I want to know. Great content. Great observations. So jelly
Thank you, we’re so happy you enjoy our videos! And good point, we would love to see those roads in South America one day.
Thank you for a great video. You planted seeds of thoughts in several areas. I have a 2017 RAM 3500 so what you did is not appropriate for my rig. BUT! I learned from you some new options. I'll now check the links. Safe travels and see you down the road.
That’s great! We’re so glad our video was helpful. Perhaps some of those seeds will bloom 🌱 Safe travels to you too!
Those are bright headlights! I'll be curious to hear if people think you have your brights on.
Since the video we’ve pointed the headlights down a little more bc they were too straight forward. But in the past we have weirdly gotten a couple flashes with the halogen lights
Thank you guys for the great content
Glad you enjoy our channel!
Are you still happy with the flex panels? I put 600 W of rigid on my truck camper a few years ago, and still don't feel like I get the power I should.
We are, although we’ve already replaced the original flexible panels we installed in this video 😳 Likely a combo of a bad hail storm that hit us, and them being the cheapest ones we could find on Amazon. This year we upgraded to 2 Renogy flexible panels and got way more power, so can’t complain so far. If you do end up switching, don’t do what we did and instead buy from a reputable brand 🙃 A follow up video about this is in the works, so stay tuned!
Not a bad deal on them LED bulbs, ordering two sets one came with 4 bulbs, Christmas discounted plus your code saved a bunch. Thanks and Merry Christmas from Missouri
Awesome! We’re glad to hear you got such a great deal. Enjoy the new lights!
FYI deer whistles will keep the critters off the road
Good tip! Thanks!
Great video, I chuckled when I saw Dave using the entire kitchen for his mirror light upgrade.
Thanks! Imagine my reaction when I walked into the kitchen for lunch and saw that 😂
When walking in the high winds, how did you keep your hats on, Velcro?
Dave - are those nests at 3:11 from birds or humungous murder hornets (?) Could you poke one and see? Hahaha. Good seeing you guys again.
lol don’t tempt me! Good to see you’re following the channel
I'm looking to get a similar setup as you guys...camper and truck. Do you ever feel top heavy given the short wheelbase? Also have you driven much on dirt/fire roads and if so, how does it handle?
Hi! Our rig does not feel top heavy. There are even times we step out and forget we have a giant camper on the truck 😆 We’ve also driven it on plenty of forest service roads out here in Colorado (high altitude and dirt/washboard roads) with no issues. We did upgrade our shocks with Fox Shocks and installed Torklift StableLoads for a smoother ride. Hope this helps!
@@thewaywediditawesome thanks! SuperCab and short bed FTW! I just don't want to drive a monster truck. 😂

So cool, there is so much to explore in our beautiful state, thanks for sharing :)
Agreed! It’s wild that we’ve been here for so long and are still discovering new places.
Such beautiful parks ...I must have drove thru that pass many moons ago not knowingly where I was . I was young and times have changed . A very cool place to visit . Love the scenery , Have a very nice Thanksgiving .
Thank you! We definitely were not expecting to see so many pictographs through this stretch. It was such a pretty area. Have a great thanksgiving as well!
I love all your videos. Beautiful !!! The scenery is breathtaking. Thank you. Take care
Thank you so much!! Glad you enjoyed our video! This one was unexpectedly beautiful.
Such a fantastic start to your journey! Colorado National Monument looks absolutely stunning, those sandstone cliffs and desert views are breathtaking. The drive along Rim Rock Road must have been an adventure in itself, especially with those tunnels! Your Lance 825 Truck Camper seems like the perfect way to explore such incredible landscapes. Looking forward to seeing what the Sawtooth Wilderness has in store for you. Safe travels! 🚐✨
Thanks so much! It’s definitely one of our favorite spots in western Colorado. The views and landscape can’t be beat!
Howdy: Great video, though I am a bit confused about the wiring. I thought parallel would be neg to neg and pos tp pos, period. Isnot crossing from one negative to the other's positive how you make a series battery??
Thanks! And yes you’re right. I might not have been clear on the last part, but the terminals were connected neg to neg and pos to pos to complete the parallel circuit.
Love that you are branching out!
Thanks! We’ve come a long way since that video!
I love my morning coffee . Happy you were gifted one that works in your favor . Dave is by far happy about it to ,,, lol
Thanks! Dave definitely loved it, just maybe pull back his coffee intake 😂
Wow, what a cool place to visit with the camper. Glad to see that Hatch made the trip also. Not the same without Doggie.
Agreed! It was fun to drive our truck camper through it this time. And Hatch definitely loves all the new smells 🐕
Just found these videos, and I'm getting pretty addicted to them! Nice work!
Thank you! Welcome to our channel!!
The sewer in the site shouldn't be left open to drain 24/7 . Close it up or just hook up when more full.
You’re very right! We found that out the hard way 🫠 💩
Love your videos
Thank you!!
Aww Biscuits!! 😍🥹
Wow, that is a great drive seeing all the natural beauty . Thanks ,hope your doing well
Thank you! It’s one of our favorite drives in Colorado.
Beautiful place, thanks for making the video and bringing us along!
Of course! Thank you for watching! So glad you enjoyed it 🤗
Beautiful. It’s amazing that there is a place that looks like that. Thank you. Take care
Thanks!! It’s such a beautiful little pocket of Colorado 🤩
Just plain relaxing and invigorating watching your video’s! Such beautiful places!
So glad you enjoyed it!! You can see why we keep returning to that park 🥰
Beautiful video, what is the height of your camper, do you slow when approaching those tunnels I didn’t see any height signs. Thanks
Thanks! Our camper is around 11’6” tall. There are height restrictions to the tunnels. The low point on the sides is 10’6” and the centerline is 16’. We definitely kept to the center of the road 😅
Hey trying to upgrade my 825 with more solar from my understanding you would also have to upgrade your mttp charge controll since the factory one is only 30amps and 600watts÷12v=50amps you would then need a 50 amp charge controller ?
From our research, the lack of efficiency in solar panels prevent them from delivering 100% of the advertised wattage, but it’s probably a good idea to upgrade the charge controller anyways. Ours was rated for this so we didn’t need to. Just don’t buy the panels we purchased, we are currently in the process of replacing them 😳 We’re working to release a follow up video soon. Hope this helps!
Gotcha. I went with rigid solar panels for more longevity.
Awesome setup! I see a few comments about these campers not being cheap, but you can find older models that are less expensive than these new Scout and Outpost campers, etc. Don't get me wrong, those campers are nice, but you can't beat a camper that has a wet bath and toilet.
Also, what is the payload of that Supercab F250?
Thank you! And we agree, one of our requirements was a wet bath/toilet 😅 And we also lucked out and bought our truck camper years ago before the prices skyrocketed.
Around 3,300lbs
@@thewaywedidit that’s a lot of payload! I’m thinking of doing a similar set up but I have a F150 currently which wouldn’t be able to handle this weight.
@@BBPlasSVT yeah we looked at F150 options, but liked the larger wet bath of the Lance 825, especially since we’d be living in it for extended periods of time. Good luck on your search!
Curious as to how have those panels been doing? Any complaints or issues?
They’ve been pretty good. We do think they should be producing more power than they have been. If we did it again, we’d probably go with a more reputable brand.
@@thewaywedidit I have been looking at going the same the route with the flexible panels verses the solid. Some say that the flexible and not as good and other say they are. Thanks for the reply.
I love Dave's comedy. He always makes me laugh 😂
So glad you liked it! 🤗
French Press everyday
That was interesting. 🤔.
Payload is the combined weight of everything in the vehicle, including passengers, not just in the bed of the pickup.
My boyfriend is convinced that you are of Asian decent Shannen,I've said no way. Could you clear this up for us. Love the show btw
Oh how funny, I’m actually half Irish half Hungarian - so you win the bet! So glad you both are enjoying the channel 🤗
@@thewaywedidit ah no way,I'm Irish too!!. I should have known with a lovely name like Shannon ❤. You should come to Ireland and do a show 😄
That would be a dream!
Looks like a nice ride. Lots of times when I go out for three or four days or more a vacuum packed me some meals and freeze them and put them in my freezer before I go out to last me at least five meals and it works out good.
That’s awesome! Such a smart way to eat on the road.
