    I really enjoy your video's !
Go to Walmart, and get yourself an "Ugly Stick" fishing rod in a medium light action size in a 6 or 6.6 ft size in a two piece rod get some black or red Rooster Tail in- line spinners in 3/4 oz to 1 oz .You could cast that thing 75 yards easy. UGLY STICKS are ALSO indestructible!
Also get your hot sause there as well.
You should look for a "Hobie" inflatable kayak with the mirage pedal drive it would be perfect for your short on space truck camper. Inflatable hobie could be stored in the extra cab of your truck when not in use.

Jonathan, really sorry about your fishing rod. True bummer! FYI: Small suggestion about onions. No, I don't know how to avoid crying when cutting an onion. But to get the onion smell off your hands after cutting, rinse your hands lightly in water, then "dry" your hands rubbing on the side of that stainless steel sink. Don't ask me how it works. It just does. I even have what looks like a bar of soap that is also stainless steel that works the same way including taking the smell of fish of your hands. Happy Trails!

You really had a character building day yesterday. Your pole must have had a weak spot or crack. Sorry about your plans being SMASHED. That little beach was one of the most beautiful spots I've seen. The inflatable kayak sounds like a good option if you think you want to pursue your fly fishing. Another tasty dinner. Hope you're keeping a grocery list, it really helps. You're such an independent person, a list seems doable. Happy trails. Blessings

Lake Tahoe is absolutely stunning. Please be extremely cautious when on the lake. The water is dangerously cold. Average temperatures in the summer is only 63 degrees. Get off the lake when the wind kicks up. And wear the life jacket! If you suddenly tip over you could experience “cold shock response.” I say this from personal experience…at Lake Tahoe. Always safety first! Loving your recent videos in the PNW and Northern California. Take care, friend!

That s the temperature of most warmer lakes in Switzerland in the summer, grew up lake side, never heard anyone dying from the cold water, in the summer...kids jump in it and swim all over the lake from a young age...most colder ones average 55, plenty people swimming in them...but I agree safety first!

Rod probably breaks because of stress put on it during storage. When putting it in it's case be certain it always goes in smoothly with no areas of any impact. If you feel any impact remove rod and turn it so loops on rod are in different position and then reinsert. One way it works for storage - many ways it won't work and put excess stress on rod. Good luck!

For bottom jigging (Carolina rig) you need current (upstream-> downstream), tugging, or displacement to present the bait, no good if it’s sagging on the floor or flopping around mad. Try Pautzke’s balls of fire or the powerbait eggs for trout/salmon fishing. I do a worm tail then egg, make sure it floats in stillwater. There’s Kokanee, trout, and mackinaw in Tahoe. Mackinaw are huge and really good eating for days if you keep the fish!
