He honestly wasn’t that great especially compared to Daniels , he couldn’t run our offense that we wanted to run, he’s a good qb and a ledgend for beating OU but I doubt he’s gonna do anything in the nfl unfortunately
From his boneheaded play to end one season to how he handled it and came back better than ever. To watch it unfold was a wonderful thing and makes him one of my all time favorite players of all time ❤️ good luck bean 🙏
as a ku fan i love the dude. had one of the best seasons in school history last year and he played one of the biggest roles. he's got an arm and crazy speed. hope he does well
Bean was the source of so much celebration and SO MUCH frustration. The fact he could make an NFL roster is mind blowing to me but speed and raw athletic talent is something you cant teach and *WOW* he's got a lot of it.
We were SO lucky to have Bean stay another year. He did it for the team when he could have transferred and it worked out quite well. As a Jayhawk and someone that lives in Mansfield.. Big, big fan of Bean as a player and person.
I’m one of those old school guys that grew up looking up to the players older than me and being reminded that there are kids watching you. With that, when reading about athletes, I still think, I hope he’s a good kid. Rock, Chalk
as a diehard colts fan i seriously hope we get bean. a guy with a similar playstyle to richardson makes so much sense and is also so fun plus he could be a wr too with that speed
I’m a Colts fan and had no idea who this guy was. Kinda excited tho. If, God Forbid, AR gets injured again this year we’re gonna need someone to step up with Minshew Magic gone
I hope he makes the roster as a Colts Fan. He will be a perfect backup for ARich. He will learn so much from Joe Flacco. Being with Shane Steichen is a perfect situation for him to be in.
Bean stepped up when we needed him, and he never complained about being the backup. I’ll never forget the way he persevered through two 2nd half INTs to lead the game-winning drive against OU. Simply put, Jason Bean is a winner.
I watched him the first pre season game. Unbelievable !! Please keep him somewhere in the line up. Especially now that Josh Downs is recovering. Lord help our COLTS !! 🙏
@kevinfinney2513 Agree. Kevin, Jason was the statistical best, and leasing quarterback for the entire NFL pre-season. It wasn't even close. It's in the data. I have been saying, and will say it here, the Colts should be developing him like their hair is on fire. He's extremely talented, and had solid natural skill both as a passer, and a running quarterback. He's got the perfect temperament, and humility to be a successful young modern day NFL quarterback. I'm watching the Colts closely, and hoping they don't screw this up. C A
As a KU fan I’ll admit I was one of those fans who didn’t like him he didn’t have a good year in 2021 and in 2022 and I was really worried about him playing after Jalon got hurt in 2023 but he definitely won me over I hope he makes the Colts roster
As a KU fan, I witnessed the ups and downs. He had the same number of starts as a guy that played for two seasons pretty much. I think that if Leipold had been at Kansas a few years earlier, Bean would have been one of the top 20 QBs in college football. The last two seasons he improved immensely. Had that happened when he was a sophomore, he would have become a legend in Lawrence, KS IMO. Of course, Jalon Daniels also improved a whole lot under Leipold. Once he became a running threat in the latter half of last season, or once opponents began to recognize that, his passing game improved a whole lot at the same time. I hope he makes the cut for the Colts and if he can get some good coaching, he can have a pretty good NFL career, even if it isn't as a QB. He can run. He can throw. I just don't know if he can catch the ball. He could move into a role that will really put pressure on opposing defenses in the big league.
I hope Bean gets a starting job at Pittsburgh.. get rid of russel and fields and pick up Bean.Dude just needs a chance to shine.Hes hungry and can throw that ball.accuracy is on point.Id even take him here in Baltimore to back up lamar with our system and he’d learn allot and we need a backup
Bean was a lean mean machine with a cannon arm and pin point accuracy. He had pocket passer tendencies but could break away and roll or rpo or scramble if broken if needed. He did not fit the scheme of KU built around a different style with H backs and mobile QB. He made a mediocre offense look good and his awful D backs would put him in the position to fail. "Strangest" seems to be a good descriptor and I could actually see him a Starting Regular for Indy over the current experiment. Flacco is old and can rebreak easy and Richardson is coming back from a season ending injury(concussion then a rotary cuff in throwing shoulder) as another reason to root for Bean.
@@CHAZZ08 yes, knee. The press says for the team to succeed A-Rich has to remain healthy, I say They don't know Bean. Pocket guy with break away speed, can Scramble a dual threat. Good luck to A-Rich and hope Bean is a solid 2 or 3.
He could of easily put up huge numbers at Jackson State and then transfer. I won’t say it was his downfall, because he had good number for a freshman year.
I don't understand "in 2023 he finished with 2100 yards with 18 touchdowns and seven picks and also had three interceptions..." Did he also play safety?
Whats annoying is KU fans talked so much shit on him while he was there because he made some mental mistakes, but ultimately he IS the reason for their recent success. He is way more talented than JD6 and the conference games prove it. JD6 gets so much hype for being a great OOC QB, but in conference play, JD6 hasn't done jack. JB on the other hand did. But now that JB is having success in the preseason, KU idiots want to glamour about how great they think he is.
His quarterback rating was better than any other QB on the team in the first preseason game. He will land on a roster as for a rookie he wasn’t perfect as none are with the learning curve from college. However, I have seen worse play from starting QB’s and no QB is Mistake free or ready to play in year one.
@veldrensavoth7119 Likely not, and that's being very honest. Jason Bean should be the third QB, replacing Sam Ehlinger, and on the active roster in my opinion. C A
Who should I cover next?
Here's an interesting one, Byurum Brown. The QB for South Florida
Do Xavier Weaver wr of Colorado who went UDFA
Chip Traynum current Kentucky RB ex OSU LB/RB ex ASU RB
Definitely xavier weaver
Isaiah John “juice” Williams - Illinois
He saved our season last year and was one hell of a fun qb to watch.
Exactly and Rock Chalk!!
Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

As a k state fan I respected beans game
Bean was massive for the Jayhawks. Lesser men would have walked away. But he stayed and cemented his legacy in Lawrence, KS.
Bean was the source of so much celebration and SO MUCH frustration. The fact he could make an NFL roster is mind blowing to me but speed and raw athletic talent is something you cant teach and *WOW* he's got a lot of it.
Ngl bean was a beast filling in for jalon daniels love his game

Just want to throw this out there, the Colts GM’s son is a QB on Kansas. His name is Cole Ballard. I’m guessing his father saw the good in Bean.
Man his acceleration is through the roof, he should switch to wide receiver for sure.
Yea as a Kansas fan that’s what I thought would be the best option for him to perform in the nfl, he won’t be making it as a starting qb
This is an awesome vid. Thank you for shining a light on Mr Bean
Jason is a helluva athlete. He is from my city of Mansfield so I watched him play in high school. Definitely can be an asset
We loved him at Kansas. Great kid.
During his time at UNT, he was known as Mean Green Bean.
Do Xavier Weaver WR of Colorado who went UDFA no one has done a video talking about him.
Colts season ticket holder and I like the underdog getting the opportunity, he looks like he is mature and proved he deserves a chance!
That TCU game was probably the most fun I’ve ever had watching a football game.
I had never heard of this dude until approximately 12 seconds ago
You Probably don’t watch college football and that’s totally fine
@@pascho1057they watch espn and believe what they say 😂
He has the potential to be the next Tom Brady
Must be an NFL only.
Casual

I watched bean all season. Kid was good.
Overall, Love Bean. OT to Arkansas in Bowl game he threw it to the hot dog vendor on 2nd level of stands, but minus that, he was electric to watch.
I’m a Colts fan and had no idea who this guy was. Kinda excited tho. If, God Forbid, AR gets injured again this year we’re gonna need someone to step up with Minshew Magic gone
I randomly met Bean at the Chickfila I work at in Fort Worth. My coworker, who is a huge college football fan, recognized him.
I hope he makes the roster as a Colts Fan. He will be a perfect backup for ARich. He will learn so much from Joe Flacco. Being with Shane Steichen is a perfect situation for him to be in.
@Bigdaddyweese
Couldn't agree with you more. Very well said.

Mansfield, Texas!
He is blindingly fast and is a great teammate.
6Ft 375lbs in high school is crazy
What? Lol
Not really I was that size in 4th grade

6’3 175 what’s so crazy?
that's what it sounded like to me.

Colts fan hoping he gets the third spot. Has been so fun to watch during pre season
I like this kid since I first saw him. Plenty of potential. If the Colts don’t cut him, I’d love to see the 49ers trade for him
Ayyyyy thanks so much man!!
We’ve already been introduced, but I’ll watch anyways.
Insanely fast.
I watched him the first pre season game. Unbelievable !! Please keep him somewhere in the line up. Especially now that Josh Downs is recovering. Lord help our COLTS !! 🙏

Nice Bio on Jason Bean! Next up Avery Johnson?

Wouldn’t mind seeing him stay with my colts
At around the 9:30 mark you say he had "18 tds 7 picks, and also had 3 interceptions
He probably meant fumbles lol
He is him
Wish my panthers had invited him in for the 3rd qb spot instead of jack plummer
We know Jason Bean! #RockChalk
I saw him play at north texas!
He’s with the 〽️emphis Showboats ⛴️ now . He went #1 overall in the UFL .
*as a colts Fan I’m curious*
UFL would be a good chance for him to play.
He is in the UFL now
?
Bean is the most frustrating QB to watch. He is good, but consistently found the perfect moment to do something stupid with the ball.
Jason bean is a beast!! Basically the Jake browning to Joe burrow
