Daemon is still on his gangsta shit with that cloak🤣I'm rooting for Rhaenyra's rights and wrongs #TeamBlack all day!!
In the book, Helaena has the twins and a younger son. The twins are I think around 5 and the son 2-3. Blood and Cheese break in and force her to choose which son will die, and when she tries to get them to kill her instead they get impatient and say they will r*pe her daughter and kill them all anyway. So she tearfully chooses the little son, and then B&C tell him something like "You hear that, your mommy wants you dead", and then they cut off the head of the older one. Then they leave. And Helaena basically goes insane over the guilt and can never look at her younger son (Maelor) again. So, it's pretty awful in the books. Very cruel and twisted.
@@watchwithmeellebee ugh I guess this isn’t a spoiler because Maelor doesn’t exist in the show, but later there is a situation where he has to escape Kings Landing with a white cloak. I had never heard of the Blood and Cheese storyline, so I was SO shocked. Daemon had mentioned that Aemond was a good sword fighter and Otto had that conversation with Aemond about him being too much, so I was expecting Aemond to kill the intruders and maybe do something psychopathic. I had no idea the plot was going to end with child murder!
Girl - you are on track!! HotD is an outright commentary on women in power, exploring themes of gender inequality and the systemic barriers women face. Throughout the series, men consistently dismiss and undermine the women who hold or seek power. This is evident in key storylines: Princess Rhaenys is overlooked for the throne despite her rightful claim, Rhaenyra's queenship is usurped by the greens in favor of a male ruler, Alicent navigates a patriarchal system to assert her influence, and Helena's prophetic insights are disregarded by those around her. I understand you don't like Alicent but she is maneuvering through her world with a blend of bitterness and naivete, striving to assert her influence while adhering to societal expectations in public - but finding space to be a herself in the dark. Her character exemplifies the compromises and strategic decisions women must often make to maintain their positions and protect their interests. Keep going, Girl! You're killing it!
"Finding space to be herself in the dark" 🔥🔥 I love this! It's very accurate, and has no baring on my hate for her! 😂 All jokes aside, Alicent could never be a girls girl, or even have a good relationship with a women because all she's ever done is be in service to men. "Now they see you as you are." Women see Alicent as she is - she isn't pure and innocent like she HAS to be, she is secretly repressed until she can't take it and then she explodes. Why doesn’t Helena have bodyguards that made zero sense? You’re at war and nobody is at guard guarding the king and the queen and their children ? How is it that the rat catchers were just able to walk on by the king and no one stopped them like who are you so; they just know who the ratcatcher on staff is? Why doesn’t Damon just take out Aemond himself? I mean, he knows how to fight very well so why would you send a ratcatcher when you can just fight him yourself? I heard In the books, Alicent has 4 kids, where is the 4th kid? Is the 4th kid Sir Christin and not born yet?
Larys had quite a lot of people scanned and killed, as per his chat with Alicent. They probably haven’t restaffed guards and servants yet. The 4th son exists and studies in Oldtown. He has not been mentioned yet which is a bit odd, but we see a bloodline for him in season 1 credits.
Honestly they couldn’t put the REAL BOOK version of blood and cheese on tv. So I’m okay with them doing that. Re-reading it yes it was going to be way too much lmaoooo viewers was definitely gone be mad and feeling a way but I do feel like if u gone touch on it they should’ve went 100%
Blood & Cheese is not even on the same level as the Red Wedding. . . people saying that are just nostalgic for the Starks... it doesn’t have the same impact bc we loved Rob and his mama. Also the Red Wedding was a massacre... 🩸🧀 is brutal, I mean they killed the heir to Aegons throne... and it drives Aegon over the edge... but we didn’t know that baby like we knew the Starks... And people saying Daemon told them to just kill the baby makes no sense. Blood was actually looking for Aemond .. Cheese knew he’d get killed for being up there so he just wanted to grab a royal boys head and dip. It’s obvious that wasn’t their mission bc Blood didn’t know the queen or her children... also you think ole boy Daemon stood around in a sewer explaining to those 2 idiots they could just kill a defenseless child instead of who Rhaenyra wanted? That look on Daemons face was like “you find him. If you don’t find him and just leave with my money I will find you and you will no longer be breathing our air”. Daemon wouldn’t have given them a backup plan... bc then that’s exactly the plan they’d execute bc it’s quicker and easier. I know ppl hate Daemon but come on ppl. And say he said to kill the baby. They just killed his step-baby. . a son for a son. (but also that baby ISNT Alicents son , it’s her grandson ..?)
The comparisons between B&C and their war crimes and the red wedding are definitely off Basel I haven't read the books, but my theory is that the death of her son will break Helaena, and in a different way her brother/husband will snap too. Have no clue about the rest of those horrible terrible no good Greens!
11:54 had me turning off the video and listening for the street people whom I thought were outside screaming cuz of whatever audio clip you had on there 🤣🤣🤣
To be fair, he couldn’t clip the cape on himself in full armor, and leaving the room not wearing it would have been a dead giveaway. Also, it meant she would have had to have taken it off him in the first place. Since she seems to be pious with BIG exceptions, maybe taking off the cape symbolizes for her (and him) that the rules/Gods don’t apply if the cape is removed?
Ellebee you are hilarious and your videos makes me enjoy these shows even more! Alicent grinds my gears, I’m glad hear y’all see her bs too. I love Daemon 🤭 he’s a hot mess but he gets shit done lol
I love your channel! As soon as HOT aired, I checked in to see if you posted a review! When it comes to Alicent and Cole: Do you know how much hate/envy these two must have for Rhaenyra that they’re having sex in HER old room??? All these rooms in this rat filled castle and that’s where they’re hooking up… Good grief!
I keep hearing about Mushroom. I wonder why they’re leaving him out? Maybe because they don’t want to use a Little Person in a derogatory role like that…
The little kid is the third bastard. That's Joffrey Velaryon. Aka Joffrey Strong. That's the baby that rheneyra carried all the way to allicent after giving birth because she wanted to check his hair color.
hey Elle- haven't read the books either and yet there was lots of hype I'd heard about Blood and Cheese- so I was also disappointed with that. It may not have been the most exciting first episode, but we had to deal with all the loose ends of last season. Looking forward to what is next. Yes I am going to say that dog kick was CGI and I'm with you about hurting children or animals- no tolerance for it. Looking forward to your next review on Interview with a vampire too. 💗
When I heard the Winterfell music and saw my old home, I nearly teared up 🥲. Doesn’t Jace look more Stark than anything else? He looked so comfortable with Lord Cregan. The Blood and Cheese scene didn’t have the suspense feel I was expecting. They just walked through the castle in front of everyone. I think if the scene was quieter and darker and the direction was to make the scene feel claustrophobic to the audience, the impact would have been stronger.
Jace definitely looks Stark-ish! Something tells me I’m going to see those two again. Because they could have skipped those scenes and just shown Jace coming home to his mama. 👀
You are partially correct about Alyn/Alan…..he is a bastard….but of WHO’s blood is the question….the answer to that holds the key to his worth in future plots….stay tuned!!! I’ll do my best to hint without spoiling ;)
Its trippy that so many people are not mordified by Blood and Cheese. Some of yall were more pissed about Cheese kicking the dog than them 🗡'n and 🔪'n and 🪚'n the head☠️ off the sleeping baby in his bed in front of his momma and baby sister. @@lisamorrison214 it will sound strange (but hear me out) : the brutality could have been "more elegant". Hacksaw sounds cheapened the act. If they would have kept the words as written then possibly used wall shadows to show body outlines /sound to depict the assassination. Lol, full disclosure Blood and Cheese are icons in GOT and They did them dirty with bringing them to life. So disappointed 😞
Blood and cheese was supposed to be worse because I think they assault Helena. Then they asked which one of her children does she prefer being alive. She chooses the one she wants to live and they end up killing the one that she chose. While the one that she didn't choose gets to live the rest of their lives knowing that their mother wanted them dead. It was supposed to be really horrific but of course nowadays they're going to dumb down stuff that they wouldn't have usually dumbed down in the original Game of Thrones
@@watchwithmeellebee Girl! Here's the deets. They had to change it because there was a third child in the book - another boy. Blood and Cheese asks Helena which BOY she wants to live. They couldn't do this here because the showrunner only had two children born to Helena at this time in the HBO show. Supposedly, they felt there wasn't enough time passed in the seasons for Helena to be born, marry her brother, have twins, have another kid, have them killed etc.

Alyn is definitely somebody.
But I don’t know if we’ll find out this season. .
Just remember we’ve met him ... ♥️
I wonder why oh why he’s bald. . Such a young man to have lost all his hair. . 🤭🤫
I hope he won’t be like Uncle Benjin in GOT and appear in season 1 and then not again until the end of the show 😂
Honestly they couldn’t put the REAL BOOK version of blood and cheese on tv. So I’m okay with them doing that. Re-reading it yes it was going to be way too much lmaoooo viewers was definitely gone be mad and feeling a way but I do feel like if u gone touch on it they should’ve went 100%
😂😆 not that's all Daemon can give other than that d. 😂
😂😂
11:54 had me turning off the video and listening for the street people whom I thought were outside screaming cuz of whatever audio clip you had on there 🤣🤣🤣
I have 3 boys. There's always noise in the background of my videos. 😂😂
"....a sexy mime"?!? 😅😅
You just earned a new subscriber! LoL
Thanks for the sub! 🤗❤️ I didn't realize what I was giving until I hit record! 😂😂
Cousin Elle your commentary is everything!! Chilleee when the man kicked the dog I almost jumped through the damn tv !!!
It looked like he actually kicked it. I didn't like that AT ALL!
“Not even a product of incest!!” 🤣🤣🤣 fell out the bed! 🤣 “What’s *your* excuse ALLICENT?!” 🤣
Plus: he didn’t really need to remove the cape to perform that… service
I guess that makes sense. But I still hate them both. 😂
I’m so so glad to have found your channel 🎉I’ve been looking for black people reviewing HOD❤❤ Are you from New Orleans?
I'm glad you found my channel too! Now we can talk about these crazy ass people on this show together! 😂 Yep, I'm from New Orleans!
She has 3 kids by the Strong, so three of them have brown hair but she has I think 3 kids with Daemon.
You have to be from New Orleans lol I hear the accent all day long 😭😁⚜️ love the review!
Born and raised!
LOL @ they just not gonna have no big bald black dude for a minute and that's it! Hear me out - he's bald because he gotta hide that silver hair!
I knew it!!! 😂
I wish they had showed Jace visits to the Vale. I would have loved for the show to explore Mushroom version of Jace visits to the Vale.
I keep hearing about Mushroom. I wonder why they’re leaving him out? Maybe because they don’t want to use a Little Person in a derogatory role like that…
Our mutual feelings for that alicent bih is a subscription from me😂😂😂 I love your recaps
Thanks for the sub! 🤗🤗
The little kid is the third bastard. That's Joffrey Velaryon. Aka Joffrey Strong. That's the baby that rheneyra carried all the way to allicent after giving birth because she wanted to check his hair color.
I didn’t remember that poor baby. I saw him the day he was born and never saw him again until his brothers funeral 😂
I’m so glad I found this channel. Not medieval Luna Lovegood. 😂
hey Elle- haven't read the books either and yet there was lots of hype I'd heard about Blood and Cheese- so I was also disappointed with that. 💗
He was third Strong boy. She had 3 with Harwin and 2boys and the girl that passed by Dameon
Chie I forgot! She stay pregnant! 😂😂
Ohhhhhh I can't wait to learn more about them!
Its trippy that so many people are not mordified by Blood and Cheese. Some of yall were more pissed about Cheese kicking the dog than them 🗡'n and 🔪'n and 🪚'n the head☠️ off the sleeping baby in his bed in front of his momma and baby sister. The sound was so off putting. I did NOT need to see it cause the sound did it all for me.
The sound was wild! I can’t even imagine how they came up with that sound.
@@watchwithmeellebee Ive seen a lot of sound affect clips and cut up a lot of chicken and raw beef in my life. I have a pretty good idea 🤢
Her brother in-law/brother!!!!
They're so gross!
Please tell me you're still doing a recap of Interview with the Vampire, S2 E6?!
I'm gonna drop it tomorrow! They are just so terrible. Poor Claudia!
Okay, good! So much to discuss! ☺️
Jace was holding Joffrey at the funeral. He’s the third son with Harwin Strong. Rhaenyra and Daemon have 2 toddler sons also.
I forgot about him. I don’t think we saw him last season other than when he was born, right?
@@watchwithmeellebee I think he was with them at the funeral for the baby she miscarried when the twin brought the crown to Rhaenyra
I can't stand Alicent, she is the queen of hypocrites, its fine if she is sleeping with Cristian Cole, but just be honest about it. "Go embroider something," you killed me! And your comment about 'Inflation in the year 100 is outta pocket" 🤣🤣🤣🤣! So glad you are back reviewing this season of HOTD!!!
Someone made a point about why Alicent behaves the way she does, and I understood what they were saying. They made really valid points, but I still hate her so so much! lol
@@watchwithmeellebee SAME!
ELLE BOOGIE ❤❤ CHAT IT UP. I really wish they would have kept Blood and Cheese's words from the book. The dialogue was perfect. *ABSOLUTELY PERFECT* I waited salivating for them to say it but they gave me "shaking and shivering" assassins!?!! *where they do that at in GOT, a scared assassin?*
I have to believe they watered down the scene for a reason, and it can't be because they thought we couldn't handle it!
@@watchwithmeellebeewatered-down BIG TIME.. because Blood was bruuuuutal and Cheese was slick mouth. A brutal infanticide. Luna Lovegood is very much Loonie Lovegood but be hella-accurate
@@tigerlilly9038it was still nasty. You could hear them hacking and sawing away at that poor baby. His lil muffled Mummy help. Ugggggg! It was enough. IMO.
@You know who wasn’t there, Daemon! Raggedy” lmao I said the same thing. Daemon in a cloak equal trouble lol.
Last time Daemon was in a cloak his murdered his wife in cold blood. He just doesn't have a good cloak track record 😂
🤭🤭🤭
Blood and cheese was supposed to be worse because I think they assault Helena. Then they asked which one of her children does she prefer being alive. She chooses the one she wants to live and they end up killing the one that she chose. While the one that she didn't choose gets to live the rest of their lives knowing that their mother wanted them dead. It was supposed to be really horrific but of course nowadays they're going to dumb down stuff that they wouldn't have usually dumbed down in the original Game of Thrones
This would have been so good! The GOT/HOTD fandom can handle that kind of awful. I wonder why they chose to water it down?
@@watchwithmeellebee Girl! Here's the deets. They had to change it because there was a third child in the book - another boy. Blood and Cheese asks Helena which BOY she wants to live. They couldn't do this here because the showrunner only had two children born to Helena at this time in the HBO show. Supposedly, they felt there wasn't enough time passed in the seasons for Helena to be born, marry her brother, have twins, have another kid, have them killed etc.
I am mad about it. George Martin wrote GD poetry 👌. They could have really "read the pages" and that SCENE WAS GOING TO SLAP. I am beyond salty 😤😡. WHY they made Cheese a scared coward on my TV...is unforgivable - UNFORGIVABLE
@@SCAScienceLabthey could have fit a baby in...barely can keep track of them silver headed children of corn anyway 😂😂...
Blood and CHEESE????
hiii cousin 💛💛💛
Hey good cousin! How have you been? 😃
@@watchwithmeellebee great, hope you’re well 💛🙏🏿
I hate Alicent and Ser Criston with a passion. I’ve been trying to decide which one I hate more. It’s a dead heat so far.
Great recap. 👍🏾
I waiver back and forth between who I hate more. Last season it was Alicent by a bit, this season she's still in the lead but not by much...
The episode was ok not as strong as I thought it would be but still good. I was ready to see Daemon act a fool 😂!!!
Alicent, Otto, and Criston Cole just make my nailbed itch. Cole you still the side piece guard. Nobody wants you. And keep Rhaenrya’s name out yo mouth!!
Baby Halaena gone tell the truth but ain’t nobody got time to decipher riddles girl. 😂😂
And why Aemond got a silk press and Aegon got fried split ends???
@@tricepnm8590 DYING…🤣🤣🤣🤣
❤❤❤
I had to rewatch S1 because I thought Ser Criston Cole was Rhaenyra’s "mm-bop chaps" daddy.. my bad. 🤦🏻♀️
That's why they need to stop waiting so long between seasons! We forget everything that happened! 😂
14:28 you meant you’re gonna like Aegon II, not Aemond. Aemond ain’t funny. Hahah. Bullied boy turned creep with mommy issues.
I don’t think blood and cheese would have been good exactly like the book
Let's go cousin 😊
I was so disappointed in blood and cheese, it’s crazy how I was rooting for them to murder them kids like in the books but I will repent later. Alicent needs to be dragged up and through the red keep, I know it’s not cannon but if Rhaynera could Molly whop her one time I would be satisfied. Christian is still the royal garden tool I see and they need to let Daemon off the leash, I am ready for all out war at this point. The episode gave 6/10, I really hope this show doesn’t follow the rollercoaster which was the original. I hate to see some of my favorites fumbled all over again
I didn't even know that a child would be the target before it happened and I was still disappointed. 🤦🏾♀️
Cousin I love you but you gone have to leave Alicent alone😅
I'll leave her alone on 1st of Neveuary! Or maybe July 32nd. 😂
Look, I don’t begrudge anyone their side piece. It’s the HYPOCRISY for me!
@@watchwithmeellebee naw you gotta let me explain she isn’t as bad as yall say I swear🥹
@@WVelaryonFirstOfHisName my thing is everyone in the show is a hypocrite but Alicent is the only one called out for it. Daemon has rebelled against the crown and committed treason. Yet he complains and is furious about the Hightower treason. Rhaenyra complains about her throne being usurped and treason meanwhile with the help of Corlys she usurped house velaryon and her heirs are living breathing treason.
@@Meme-jo7uj yep, all good points. They’re all terrible people for sure.
