Here's my Dune Prophecy Episode 3 video and easter eggs, with a lot of Game Of Thrones cameos this week. Post all your reactions in the comments! Here's my Wolverine vs Hulk video too! th-cam.com/video/OFcYECC34NQ/w-d-xo.html
the atreides buff guy is not just "oh we'll figure it out" he's "pure of heart", going "the sins of our fathers are not our own". Then she mercs him. RIP good guy.
What if Lila is the one that brings about the prophesy. Didn’t it say borne twice, once from blood and once from spice. They’re flooding her with spice to keep her alive ?
Was just thinking the same thing.. they basically have written her off as dead, but now Tulla is having her kept alive and bolstered with spice in the hopes of rejuvenating her. No one has ever come back from the state that Lila is in, so when she does, it will be very much like being born again in spice.
What I really haven’t seen anyone mention is the poison and manner that Tula used to kill the Atreides as the inspiration for the Gom Jabbar. I think it’s particularly significant that it was used on an animal as well as a human.
Multiple actresses also from Netflix's Bridgerton. The actress playing young Kasha is to be the new romantic heroine in upcoming season. The actress playing young Francesca was a sister to romantic heroine lead in season 2. And young Tula and Valya's mother is played by actress that is mother to heroine of Bridgeton season 3.
The Harkonnens are not on Geidi Prime yet..when older Valya visits her family they are in the city of Zimia on Salusa Secundus ..the Harkonnens are a part of the Lansraad at this point so they live in the capital, Valya and sister Theodosia are already in the city since they have been kicked out of the palace
It's in the Brian Herbert books. This episode is taken more or less straight from that, except Tula was also a skilled sword master too, with similar training to Duncan Idaho.
Thank you for sharing that! Haven't read the books, but knowing she has a stabby background would definitely make poisoning an entire rival family less of a surprise 😂 The younger Tula in the show seemed much more reserved and gentle up until that happened, but the older Tula has given off some stabby vibes. Will have to get my hands on the books, this franchise has been great.
I dont understand why this show is getting bad reviews. I think it’s super interesting! Also it’s only been 3 episodes, ppl should at least wait til the end of the season before writing their reviews
The Atreides bloodline nearly getting completely wiped out because the heir was a top tier simp is hilarious. Bro should have gotten rid of Tula the moment she told him that she was a Harkonnen 🤦♂️
GOT movie that Warner bros announced recently should be as of whole season8 was Bran’s vision, that’s the only way to save the legacy from horrible s8 ending, and they most likely gonna make a lot of money from bringing old cast back
Save the legacy ?? GOT legacy will never need to be saved .. Can’t believe you all just discount multiple seasons of the greatest shit on tv just because of a lack luster ending .. Smh GOT legacy is SEALED .. Greatest show ever to touch TV .. EVER
Not only does that story sound so convoluted and un appealing to the general masses (who are downright retarded and need to have their entertainment dumbed down for it to be digestible) you're also failing to realize how goddamn expensive that would be. Lots of the cast are A list celebs who would only accept multi million dollar paydays. GOT needs to be forgotten, then remade sometime in the future (20-30 years) when ideally the books are complete and all source material is adapted faithfully and with an emphasis on quality (which given how often new shows fail in the modern day it might never happen lmao)
When Tula confessed who she was to her Atriedes boyfriend, he instantly forgave her. I thought it would be a sweet beginning of a Romeo and Juliet story but NOPE! She just went full Harkonnen 'dark side' and wiped them all out accept for one young lad😬
Another casting note for you, Charlie. An unbilled Polly Walker (of *Patriot Games", "Rome", "Clash Of The Titans" [remake], "Caprica" and "Pennyworth"fame), played Valya and Tula's mother, Sonya Harkonnen. Small part for her, but she's not a small actor. What a surprise that was...
Highly unlikely that Desmond is Vorian Atreides. He’s a reformed character not a gray one so it would make no sense in his arc. The end of the story seemed to imply that Lila is in fact the prophesied figure, not Desmond. I guess they may be going with her as an abomination. Butlers are Harkonnens at this stage, as they married into the Harkonnen main line. So the Corrinos are in fact the branch of Harkonnens who changed their names to separate themselves from Abulurd’s sabotage attempt. These thinking machines don’t seem to be related to Omnius tho. That’s the dangerous one.
So basically Harkonen vs Atreides is based on Balkan's history of 'blood vengeance'. XD Luckily in RL it only lasted for a few hundred years and not thousands.
There are still Harkonnens on Lankiveil during Paul Atreides time. The Baron's demibrother Abulurd (father of Glossu Rabban and Feyd Rautha) lives there.
If the show resorts to blame Griffin Harkonnen's killing on the Sisterhood, it would be a very serious deviation from the original story, because that would completely distort Vorian Atreides background and the remnants of the cymeks (thinking machines) after the end of the Buttlerian Jihad. Also, the show is already ignoring the start of the sisterhood of truthsayers in planet Rossak, placing the sisterhood already in Wallach IX by the time Valya Harkonnen takes the "agony ceremony."
Great episode! The thinking machine reveal BLEW ME AWAY! I've read Dune since the 1970s and never in a MILLION years that it was behind the breeding program! WOWZA
ah, it now makes sense why valya found it interesting when the sister posing as a rebel in the spice bar told her that the mole in the royal house is an atreides. valya might realize that tula lied to her about deleting all of the atreides.
The second I heard the uncle speak I was like hold up, that’s not who I think that is right, i immediately had to look it up and it was freaking Robert Baratheon!!
Seems to me the Lila bit is a way to offer a second possibility for the "Reckoning" source--born twice, once in blood, once in spice. If/When Lila wakes up, she will have been born in blood and born in spice, just like Desmond.
I love me some Mark Addy..he can do no wrong. Yet, I can never shake the image of him from "the full monty". Big,burly,lovable...yet, threatening in the right makeup. He doesn't get enough credit....More Addy!! Nice overview..again...thanks!
So if the new Baron is Valya and Tula’s nephew, then who’s his parent? Griffon died I’m assuming without any children. Maybe Tula got pregnant with the Atreidies and they lied and told him Tula was his aunt?
You may already know this but some people think Frank Herbert used the last name Butler as an hommage to author Samuel Butler who wrote the book Erehwon, which within it had, The Book of the Machines, in 1872. Probably the guy Valya went to see in the end of the episode, I forgot his name. He says “Aunt Tula” as a distraction for the audience. If Tula had a baby, I doubt she would return to the surviving Atreides and hand him over. It makes more sense to give him to the Harkonnens to raise. She probably kept the father’s identity a secret.

My theory lila is one who brings the reckoning not Desmond doratea will be one to take hold of Tulsa's body tho.
Nice theory!
Shame you don’t cover superman & Lois
The casting choices for young and old Tula and Valia are freaking BRILLIANT.
One of my favourite things about the show. I love it when casting directors get this sort of thing completely right.
@joelthomson8697 agreed, it is rarely ever done as perfectly as here. All other criticism of the show aside. I am impressed.
The young & old versions actually look alike
I have an immense crush on the actress who plays young Tula.
I'm actually in love with young and old Tula
Anytime someone makes valya slightly upset
Valya: TAKE OUT YOUR KNIFE
😁🔪
Valya is a bit mental. Dark days seems ahead in her future.
Yes, she is an evil person! Reminds me of Anakin Skywalker using the force and giving in to the Dark side.
@@PSykes-n7vevil is a strong word for her though, be for real
@@chisomo8088 how about slightly “sinister”? 😂
The way Bobby B says “gallivanting” made me miss when GOT was at its peak.
"Gods he was strong" 😂😂
“ BOW YOU SHITS “
Yessss!!!❤❤❤
Lmaoo when I heard the voice I couldn’t believe it
Those are the kind of words you use when you’re missing your cock
Poor Oscar going from dealing with Targaryens to dealing with Harkonenns.
😂
Kid can’t catch a fucking break 😂
Duke Oscar Tully. Lmao.
What’s funny about that?
@@tmac731because it’s the same actor??
@@EtgGhoST Im confused. Duke is oscar is the little Boy that survived right??

@ Nope
the atreides buff guy is not just "oh we'll figure it out" he's "pure of heart", going "the sins of our fathers are not our own". Then she mercs him. RIP good guy.
The Atreides almost payed the Iron Price, but Oscar Tully's good heart saved them
What if Lila is the one that brings about the prophesy. Didn’t it say borne twice, once from blood and once from spice. They’re flooding her with spice to keep her alive ?
Gotta have those twists
i think she will be the start of guild. if you read the books the guild floods people with spice. the one who surivve it became navigators and more.
That would be a crazy twist that they don't see coming 😅
@@championjdg The Spacing Guild already existed when the show starts; Norma Cenva was the first Navigator several hundred years before.
Was just thinking the same thing.. they basically have written her off as dead, but now Tulla is having her kept alive and bolstered with spice in the hopes of rejuvenating her. No one has ever come back from the state that Lila is in, so when she does, it will be very much like being born again in spice.
When I heard King Robert's voice... I literally sat up in my bed 😂. Man I miss GOT so much
Great seeing Mark Addy again!
"Go Find the Breastplate Stretcher!"
Also has Atia from Rome as his wife so
What I really haven’t seen anyone mention is the poison and manner that Tula used to kill the Atreides as the inspiration for the Gom Jabbar. I think it’s particularly significant that it was used on an animal as well as a human.
"I hold at your neck a Gom Jabbar. This one kills only animals".
Are we sure Tula didn't also collect Atredies DNA and that one of the sisters in the "present day" timeline isn't Tula's daughter?
I am happy Booby B is part of Dune. Hopefully no boars in Duneverse.
I was half expecting to see Lancel Harkonnen appear with a Breastplate Strecher.
lol
Imagine if he gets gored to death by an Atreides bull.
😮😂
I heard they have Giant worms tho, but it's not confirmed yet

Omg I was staring at Oscar Tully the whole time wondering where I knew him from 😅
I actually recognised the lad when I saw him in the episode.
Bro they had Robert Baratheon and Oscar Tully in the same episode 😂😭🤣
and Atia Caesar
Tula commiting a mass murder was not on my bingo card

When people ask you what happened here, tell them Abulard remembers. Tell them winter came for House Atreides.
Anarul ending was insane. The last thinking machine.
"A game of space thrones"
Pretty freakin accurate 😂
Seven hells..
I dont understand why this show is getting bad reviews. I think it’s super interesting! Also it’s only been 3 episodes, ppl should at least wait til the end of the season before writing their reviews
yes agreed…same with Dune part 1…so many people complained the plot too slow and Zendaya just appear for the last 10 minutes of the film…
im confused too, silly marvel shows are overhyped but when has a legit and complex story ppl are like nah
If you read the books and watched episode 1 you would be excited, but episode 2 & 3 were really big let down, such disappointments
“Sorceress” in total Baratheon voice
Could Harrow Harkonnen be Tula's son? They definitely spent time showing us the love scene, and Harrow said 'aunt' oddly the second time.
The Atreides bloodline nearly getting completely wiped out because the heir was a top tier simp is hilarious. Bro should have gotten rid of Tula the moment she told him that she was a Harkonnen 🤦♂️
thats mean atreides not kill his brothers..
love is blind
Ya but by the time she tells him who she is she had already killed his family
It was too late. Also this was just one branch of them. They’re like Rothschild, all over the planet.
He wasn't a simp he was just in love, which can be really dangerous.
Because in Simp you can just wake up but in love you completely blind

Love seeing mark addy and that actor who played Oscar tully in episode
I LOVED this ep. Came straight here after
Awesome, thanks!
This really felt like GoT in space, I felt the danger of something shocking that can happen any moment.
Love the flashbacks exploring more about how valya joined the sisterhood and getting her revenge on the atredies
Whats up with HBO and overshadowing movies with peak TV?
The sister have a thinking machine that's going to be a problem.
That is the problem. Thinking machines are going to be banned and Desmond Hart is there to make sure that happens.
Also I feel like Paul Atraedis is like Jon Snow. "i dun want it, i'll die but do it''
When Tula confessed who she was to her Atriedes boyfriend, he instantly forgave her. I thought it would be a sweet beginning of a Romeo and Juliet story but NOPE! She just went full Harkonnen 'dark side' and wiped them all out accept for one young lad😬
Bobby B and Atia as parents, can't blame the Harkonnen kids for being a little off
Atia... from Rome. I wasn't sure if anyone else got that!
Wasted in such a small role I think. She can really command the screen.

So long as Oscar Tully doesn’t run into Cregan and Benjicot, I think the Harkonnens should be fine for a good 10,000 years
This is the best episode so far love how morally grey all characters are with their conflicting motivations.
I didn't expect Tula to unalive her love interest

Words cant describe how happily surprised I was to see Robert Baratheon and to hear his booming voice again. 😭❤️
Vorian actually spares Griffin on Arrakis in the books. He's killed by Hyla, Vorian's "sister".
Anybody else pick up Tula’s fake last name she used to get close to Orry Atreides? Tula “Veil”. From Lanki”veil”.
you can see the why valya ended up the way she did. " truth is a tool" indeed.
Crazy to think to how many movies and books have gotten their ideas from dune.
Why didn't Valya go to Atteides and use the Voice to kill them??? I mean come on 😂😂
Have not read the prequel books, and I have been enjoying the show!
Nice!
in this timeline, bobby got to marry lyanna stark but their houses lost status and prestige that's why arya is hell-bent on revenge 😹

This episode is very Game of Thronesy and a bit of Raised by Wolves season 2 with the thinking machine of it all…
You miss the bull 🐂 looking down at liala, Leto the 1st father died from bull dancing ….
I thought it was the bull saying thank you for killing the people who were going to kill me.

We got GOTs in the dune universe now 😂 all we need is a dragon to fight a sand worm next 😂
As much as GRRM praises Tolkien & LOTR, ASOIAF actually feels a lot closer to Dune than LOTR.
That thumbnail gave me crazy Hodor Flashbacks.

A Song of Spice and Fire
Is that Robert Baratheon!?
Robert baratheon is back I see 😂
how in the fuck am I just now realizing there is a Dune prequel TV series :|
Damn you’re always so through. 😁
also the use of poison in that episode felt like a parallel connecting to the gom-jabbar ;)
It's crazy how this show is already better than the movies!
I don't know about that...

So if the new Baron is Valya and Tula’s nephew, then who’s his parent? Griffon died I’m assuming without any children. Maybe Tula got pregnant with the Atreidies and they lied and told him Tula was his aunt?
Man really I didn’t like all the flash back scenes that took most of the episode up. Present day is exciting to me.
I know its only 6 EPs it should be 10 but the pacing is pretty good
House Harkonnen ,gods we were strong then !

This is based on prequel books, by Brian Herbert, yes they used thinking machines, the timeline in the show is a bit wonkey
The moment I saw the flashback at the beginning I thought GOT. Even the music .
In the books Vorian did not kill him. He paid for the body's return. The fued continues because of the sisters
What about Desmond Hart being the child of Tulya Harkonnen + Orrys Atreides ????
I think Desmond is a machine

This my favorite episode so far
For a little while in the episode I thought I was watching game of thrones
if Tula gets pregnant with Ori Atreides, whom might be the child be? Kieran Atreides, Desmont hart?

If Tula had a baby, I doubt she would return to the surviving Atreides and hand him over. It makes more sense to give him to the Harkonnens to raise. She probably kept the father’s identity a secret.

Desmond Hart or Lila, which one is “The key to the Reckoning is one born twice, once in blood, once in spice?"
exactly. But I think it'll be Dorotea in Lila's body

Thanks Charlie great update this series has been really good
Thanks!
They had Atia from Rome in this also, I don’t think anyone noticed that either know it should have been
They have not talked about Men-tats or Navigators. At this point there should be both.
I think Jen looks like Tula and has the light sort of ginger hair of the Atreides guy - if she's her kid, it would make sense for her to keep her distance and for Vanya to want to be close to her
Bobby B might have been behind the assasination of the brother as well.
His motive for it would be his son inheriting the Harkonnen throne.
