Seeing a few comments about a few parts being skipped and I wanted to quickly address it. There were a few parts where I didn't think my reaction was adding much so I decided to trim the video a bit. Anyone who wants to watch the full video should ALWAYS watch the original video, this is just for anyone who wants to see me react to a Jaiden video for the first time! Also thank you for the concern, but the the red mark you see on my face was something very minor nothing to worry about!
For ppl who didn't understand the end, Jaiden actually lost at Elite four because: 1) Heracross crit Stone Edge on Togekiss 2) Quagsire and Garchomp died to Rhypherior's Earthquake and Avalanche respectively( Garchomp's Dig didn't kill and Avalanche got him in exchange while Quagsire was crit by Earthquake) 3) Other 3 pokemon would've died against Flint cuz all of them were weak to fire.( Didn't actually die.) But it was Jaiden's Birthday and she wanted to finish the Nuzlocke the way she would've if she hadn't gotten unlucky with all the crits, so she asked the chat if she can redo the Elite Four and we said yes. So she redid the Elite Four and Won!! Then to incorporate that loss into her story she came up with this Big Brain Giratina story which was epic. Yeah that's pretty much it.
I didnt notice before, I thought it was just fear, and maybe a reset. Turns out, you can see all the deaths in the pre battles. Didnt see the Togekiss until I slowed it down.

A lot of people are explaining the giratina scenes and glitches but everyone is forgetting to explain why chat said to reset. They said it was not Jaiden's fault that she lost because she got crit'd an absurd number of times and chat thought she should have been able to win otherwise. She proved it on her second attempt but she still considers that a hollow victory since she lost the nuzlocke.
@@dragonstouch1042 Gen 4's games (all 5 of them, including HGSS) have higher crit chances period. I think it's like 5-10% in all other games, it's 20-25% in Gen 4.
If anyone was wondering why the glitches were there. She actually lost to the elite four but her chat let her redo it because it was her birthday and she turned it into a cool Giritina plot line. Edit: Thanks for 1K likes and also I’m not saying anything bad about her I’m just explaining what happened. Edit 2: I get it everyone else keeps saying other people put it and say I’m annoying but I was confused at first until I saw a comment like this so I put for anyone who was confused and also you all know that if I didn’t put the comment then you would.
She didn't lose she was worried because at that time she only had shrimp,turt and see who was weak to flint's fire types so she didn't even try the flint fight instead she asked the chat and reseted
She did catch a Starly and Bidoof in the first two areas. She just doesn't show every single encounter she gets, because it would be too long, also because she mostly only shows the "important" characters she catches, not including the HM slaves, which her first two encounters were. And as for the Wooper, she went into the nearest patch of grass in the Great Marsh and encountered a Wooper as the first thing. She said "Hello, Wooper!" and then meant to click "Run", but accidentally clicked "Ball" instead, and then she said "What? NO!" Then the ball shook three times and clicked for capture. That Wooper apparently wanted to be with her XD And since she had caught it - by ACCIDENT - that was her encounter for the Great Marsh, so she just accepted it. But it was good luck in bad luck, given what happens later.
This video was incredible. That ending segement with the Alternate Universe Speech really makes sense. The Sinnoh League is terrifying, especially in a Nuzlocke. You have the Level Jump, Diversity in Types, Coverage, Gradually increasing levels, and the items. If a member dies before it, like Puppy the Gyarados, you could be screwed. (Also, the Giratina scene was terrifying and i love it. Despite the flashbacks...)
Just want to make this clear, Jaiden lost the nuzlocke, and re did it because the Chat said she could, and won. Thats why there were those looks of her pokemon dying, because that happened, but its cool how she did it.
I honestly really respect how she had a mention to that because she could have just never mentioned it in the video and no one at TH-cam would ever know the difference so it's amazing to see her be so humble about losing

Both of them are great and really well done but yeah the storytelling in the second one is most definitely bettee

I've watched both her stream, so I know what happened, and a bunch of people reacting to this video, and you are the first one who instantly understood what had happened without watching the stream. She got extremely unlucky with crits and only had Shrimp, See and Turt left when she was about to face Flint. She knew she would lose and the chat voted 70-30 to restart and try the Elite 4 again (it was her birthday which probably helped). She said she would be honest about the first fail when making the animation and she would find some way to put it in the story. She did an amazing job, but I was unsure if people who hadn't seen the stream would get it. Luckily there's always people in the comment section more than happy to explain :p

anyways, the elite four is pretty scary in platinum, so that’s probably why she gave up. the alternative dimension thing was a pretty good idea (because of giratina, she made it sound like it was a vision from there) and it sounded like it was actually from the game

@Just ARandomBerd! I think Colgate died to Aaron, Oops and Flakes died to the Rhyperior (it had Avalanche, Garchomp didn't enjoy that) and with nothing that could beat Flint she gave up. She asked chat if she should just let it be or if she should acknowledge it as a loss but give it another shot regardless, and chat decided that another attempt was preferable.
Can I just say, that i watched her original vid and i watched your reaction right now, and... jeeeeeez does it break my heart when she sends out Failure and it starts to follow her as she steps away and then turns as Froslasses shadow looms over it. Breaks my heart every time, because i keep imagining a puppy or kitten doing it as their human leaves it. Maybe being a dog owner makes it even worse ^^’
Same here. I prefer cats, and since Shinx (+ its evos) are based on lynx cats, it hurts so much to see Shinx be sad and scared like that. But I'm at least glad Jaiden had the moment of silence and respect for Failure the Shinx, as she said, "gone, but not forgotten".
I haven't watched a ton of people reacting to Jaidens videos yet, but so far John's reaction is my favorite. He pauses the video often, but it's tasteful, he doesn't talk over her much, and he doesn't speak just to speak. His reactions were entertaining and expressive, and it made me enjoy Jaidens video even more! Thank you!
@@PM7 yeah theres a couple times she goes and physically puts a pokemon in the box and she created a "dead" box for them. So she has to scroll over to the dead box and you can see what all she caught. They just didn't change her team at all

The laugh was probably "I can't believe I had that many emotions about a 20 minute largely comedy-oriented pokemon video on youtube". I wouldn't call myself an expert, but I do have some experience with storytelling, and from where I'm sitting that video was impeccably put together.
I watched Jaiden's video when she first posted it before seeing John's reaction here but reading through the comments in his chat, the ending of her video makes WAY more sense now.
Going into her comments really helped make sense of everything with her video. This was incredible and I really hope you react to her other pokemon nuzlocke video.

I’m doing a somewhat nuzzlock on Pokémon shield right now. What I’m doing is what I call a six lock. You can only use the first six Pokémon you get meaning your starter and the first five you catch after that. You can still catch Pokémon to fill out the dex but you can’t swap out your Pokémon, unless one of them faints after which you have to release it and as you have a free spot can fill it with the next Pokémon you catch. It makes it much harder and it makes you really think about switching out and not just letting a Pokémon die since you can’t use any in the box
Ok she offered to restart it and end the stream but 70% of her chat said redo it, essentially the win was to see if it could be done. She lost to the e4 and that’s pretty much it. I don’t think it had anything to do with her birthday but more of the insane amount of crits that were delt to her throughout the entire game. Which is why she feels guilty when she got split in 2 the real ending was her falling off the cliff into the void while her win was her on top of the cliff looking down. There were a lot that bitched that due to this it wasn’t a nuzlocke but it still was and voter opinion was what changed the outcome not her. So great reaction and you’re right she’s fantastic at story telling and her animation style but that’s how it went down
Colgate (Togekiss) died from Stone Edge by Aaron's Heracross, Oops (Quagsire) and Flakes (Garchomp) died by Bertha's Rhyperior using Earthquake on Oops and Avalanche on Flakes, and Turt (Torterra), See (Magnezone) and Shrimp (Scizor) couldn't take on Flint's team due to type disadvantage
Jaiden is brilliant as are all her animations John, you need to go watch them all. when are you doing the next playthrough with Mikey and the disaster that is Jack? And You and Mikey are brilliant Pokémon Professors and love watching you two play Minecraft even if Jack's there trying to kill both of you or lead Mikey astray. Be interesting to see more of your reactions to Jaiden's animations.

I really like how John analyzed this from a more competitive point of view for the people that don’t play competitively, and offers alternative strategies. Really nice to see as a competitive player myself.
That little thing about not deserving the win is because she actually lost at 1 point, but got a do over from her audience because it was her birthday, but only if she made it something cool in the animation.
I finished to watch the Twitch walkthrough yesterday, watched Jaiden's video and I'm still in poketubers marathon reacting to the video and so far, this is my favorite. This guy really enjoyed watching the story and it made me enjoyed it myself.
So for those of you who don’t know about what happened in her final stream (about the ending), she lost Togekiss in the first battle, garchomp and quagsire to the rhyperior in the second and chat let her try again and reset (hence the cutscene of magnezone, torterra, and scizor being surrounded by fire). The second time she tried she beat it.

For anyone who is a bit confused about the glitching and timelines in the 1st run of the elite four jaiden lost flakes oops and colgate to bertha and then flint killed the rest of her team and after talking with twitch chat they agreed to give her a second chance. 15:20 it may resist but scizor’s special defense is pitiful and it doesn’t have bulk to soak up damage, and without technician + swords dance + bullet punch and aerial ace it is hard to justify for facing Candace

@Just ARandomBerd! I think Colgate died to Aaron, Oops and Flakes died to the Rhyperior (it had Avalanche, Garchomp didn't enjoy that) and with nothing that could beat Flint she gave up. She asked chat if she should just let it be or if she should acknowledge it as a loss but give it another shot regardless, and chat decided that another attempt was preferable.

Can I just say, that i watched her original vid and i watched your reaction right now, and... jeeeeeez does it break my heart when she sends out Failure and it starts to follow her as she steps away and then turns as Froslasses shadow looms over it. Breaks my heart every time, because i keep imagining a puppy or kitten doing it as their human leaves it. Maybe being a dog owner makes it even worse ^^’
Same here. I prefer cats, and since Shinx (+ its evos) are based on lynx cats, it hurts so much to see Shinx be sad and scared like that. But I'm at least glad Jaiden had the moment of silence and respect for Failure the Shinx, as she said, "gone, but not forgotten".

I haven't watched a ton of people reacting to Jaidens videos yet, but so far John's reaction is my favorite. He pauses the video often, but it's tasteful, he doesn't talk over her much, and he doesn't speak just to speak. His reactions were entertaining and expressive, and it made me enjoy Jaidens video even more! Thank you!

@@PM7 yeah theres a couple times she goes and physically puts a pokemon in the box and she created a "dead" box for them. So she has to scroll over to the dead box and you can see what all she caught. They just didn't change her team at all

I watched Jaiden's video when she first posted it before seeing John's reaction here but reading through the comments in his chat, the ending of her video makes WAY more sense now.
Going into her comments really helped make sense of everything with her video. This was incredible and I really hope you react to her other pokemon nuzlocke video.
I’m kinda glad you questioned the Great Marsh because when I was doing that I didn’t know how I was gonna do that the first time around. I’m the end I decided that each area had their own catch opportunity, so I would end up with 6 Pokémon from the Great Marsh

I’m doing a somewhat nuzzlock on Pokémon shield right now. What I’m doing is what I call a six lock. You can only use the first six Pokémon you get meaning your starter and the first five you catch after that. You can still catch Pokémon to fill out the dex but you can’t swap out your Pokémon, unless one of them faints after which you have to release it and as you have a free spot can fill it with the next Pokémon you catch. It makes it much harder and it makes you really think about switching out and not just letting a Pokémon die since you can’t use any in the box

Ok she offered to restart it and end the stream but 70% of her chat said redo it, essentially the win was to see if it could be done. She lost to the e4 and that’s pretty much it. I don’t think it had anything to do with her birthday but more of the insane amount of crits that were delt to her throughout the entire game. Which is why she feels guilty when she got split in 2 the real ending was her falling off the cliff into the void while her win was her on top of the cliff looking down. There were a lot that bitched that due to this it wasn’t a nuzlocke but it still was and voter opinion was what changed the outcome not her. So great reaction and you’re right she’s fantastic at story telling and her animation style but that’s how it went down

Colgate (Togekiss) died from Stone Edge by Aaron's Heracross, Oops (Quagsire) and Flakes (Garchomp) died by Bertha's Rhyperior using Earthquake on Oops and Avalanche on Flakes, and Turt (Torterra), See (Magnezone) and Shrimp (Scizor) couldn't take on Flint's team due to type disadvantage
Jaiden is brilliant as are all her animations John, you need to go watch them all. when are you doing the next playthrough with Mikey and the disaster that is Jack? And You and Mikey are brilliant Pokémon Professors and love watching you two play Minecraft even if Jack's there trying to kill both of you or lead Mikey astray. Be interesting to see more of your reactions to Jaiden's animations.

That little thing about not deserving the win is because she actually lost at 1 point, but got a do over from her audience because it was her birthday, but only if she made it something cool in the animation.

So for those of you who don’t know about what happened in her final stream (about the ending), she lost Togekiss in the first battle, garchomp and quagsire to the rhyperior in the second and chat let her try again and reset (hence the cutscene of magnezone, torterra, and scizor being surrounded by fire). The second time she tried she beat it.

That's been me for the past few hours.
I especially love watching their reactions to the scene with Giratina splitting Jaiden in two, and the philosophical ending as well.
For anyone who is a bit confused about the glitching and timelines in the 1st run of the elite four jaiden lost flakes oops and colgate to bertha and then flint killed the rest of her team and after talking with twitch chat they agreed to give her a second chance. Just wanted to clear up some confusion
She lost Colgate to a crit Stone Edge by Aaron’s Heracross, Oops to a crit Earthquake by Bertha’s Rhyperior and Flakes to an Avalanche after Dig didn’t OHKO. Turt, Shrimp and See were all weak to Flint and she held a poll to see if she should redo the E4, her chat let her see what would have happened(if her plan would work) as a birthday present, which explains the glitches, but she counted it as a loss.
