For those who didn’t watch the stream, Jaiden actually lost her first attempt at the Elite Four. Her Togekiss died to a crit Stone Edge against Aaron’s Heracross, and her Garchomp and Quagsire had really unlucky deaths against Bertha’s Rhyperior. Since the rest of her team was weak against Flint, she gave up. However, since the reason for her losing was extremely unlucky and not mistakes on her part, she did a poll asking if she could retry the Elite Four. 70% said yes, so she did it again. She won, but it was hollow. “Alternate Timeline Jaiden” was her, when she lost the first attempt.

She lost to the E4 on one attempt... So she went for a retry, but then the guilt of having a redo washed over her... That truly does make one question if she deserves this victory or not.
I like how instead of denying her loss the first time, she finds a way to incorporate it into the story. That honestly just made the story so much better and feel almost like a real animated short film.

I love the split reality story. Genius bit of storytelling, and probably something that's plausible in-universe. And I don't blame her for beating the game after rising so far, only to lose at the very end. I'd probably box my mons that died, too, so I can play around with them after the ordeal. I've just never been able to afford a consule and game. Though, I think I've seen Gold and Silver on an emulator site before, so maybe.

@@hilehoffer Yea thats what happened in the First alternative universe the first run Jaiden lost but in the Second alternative universe she won she was thinking about the other alternative universe if she should win or not.
NO NO NO she got ripped apart and then there was two of her in diffrent worlds she saw stuff that had happend in those other worlds
For those who weren’t there for the first stream, she played platinum once but when she fought Bertha, Colgate got crit by stone edge and Oops the quagsire and flakes the Garchomp had unfortunate deaths with her rhyperior So when she beat Bertha she only has shrimp, see, and and turt, all of which were weak to fire. At that point she gave up. But when she polled if she should try again 70% of people said yes so she did. It was interesting to see how she showed her first nuzloke with platinum by doing the glitching animation.

Hey purple, the glitches in the elite 4 are from the original run. When she was streaming it, she lost 5/6 Pokemon in the elite 4. Rhydon killed Flakes and Oops and that’s why it was holding their corpses, and in the battle with flint Torterra, scissor and Magnezone died, so she gave up. But because it was her birthday, the chat let her have another try, and she turned it into a cool giritina plot. That’s why at the end she says she doesn’t know if she is the real her and she doesn’t deserve the victory
um it was rhyperior that killed oops and flakes not rhydon.

On her stream she actually lost her first try, hence the dead pokemon and her words about her second self losing. The chat agreed to let her try again, which is the reality in which she won. That's why she says she "cant accept this victory" because she technically lost on her first try.

I can heavily relate to Jaiden with that starley crit at the start. I was playing platinum as a kid and he landed 3 critical quick attacks, I still despise that bird for that.

If I'm not mistaken, the "glitches" in the video are a reference to her 1st attempt where she lost to the Elite 4 (the video is actually about her 2nd attempt, where she actually won)

Exactly. The first attempt was seriously unlucky. Crit after Crit. Bertha's Rhyperior took out her Garchomp and Quagsire. At that point, she had a really weak team for Flint specifically, and even if she managed to get past him, she'd still have Lucian and Cynthia to face with less than a full team, and a team with no real answer for Cynthia's Garchomp. She ran a pole stating that this was in fact a loss, but to give her a second chance just so she'd have content for the video. Thats why she said she felt she didn't deserve the win.

Jaiden lost at the fire type elite four originally but due to the fact that it was all crits and bs that did it, and it was her birthday, chat voted to let her have another shot, which is what the whole "glitches" were about. Honestly the fact that she incorporated them so flawlessly into the animation with the splitting of herself at Giratina is so amazingly awesome.
