After fighting with "budget" printers myself for the last few years, I decided to give this a try. I will shout from the rooftops how this printer is the best decision you can make. Period. Everything about the experience is A+ and it produces absolutely amazing results. 3D printing to me was previously a chore. Now : I don't mind it at all.

Ordered one last week. Was $199.00. With shipping & tax, final price was $228.98. I didn't bother with the AMS Lite. I figured if the A1 mini was as good as people say, I'll order an A1 Combo with the AMS Lite for $489.00 plus shipping & Tax. Received the A1 mini on Thursday afternoon. Setup was a breeze and I've been printing like crazy with it for three days. This thing is awesome - and fast! Prints in about half the time that my Ender 3 S1 prints. Absolutely happy with this A1 mini.

I couldn't resist the new price and wanted a compliment to my P1S, so bought a Mini that arrived a week ago. My 11 year old assembled it in 15 minutes and it's been temporarily sitting on my counter just smashing out gorgeous prints. At this point I don't see myself turning on my older bed slingers ever again. They taught be a lot, but at this point I just want to print and not constantly tinker.

Ian would do just such a thumbnail..

I’m very tempted by this offer, it would be my 1st 3D printer. Can I ask if it is also worth me getting the bundle including the AMS lite? Will this it print in ASA? Thanks for any advice.

Ordered one yesterday and thinking of ordering 4 more for the print farm. As for the bed size it's more than enough honestly, 90% of prints shared online fit on that bed size and even those who don't can be cut up and printed with connectors and assembled. As for anyone thinking of running a small print farm with these or a different kind of small printer(Kingroon KP3S, Prusa mini, Ender 2), the financial benefits are in the cheaper electric bill since it takes less power to heat up the smaller bed and also the price of PEI beds is cheaper obviously, especially if you like ordering various colorful PEO plates from Aliexpress

I’m wondering if the A1 prints as good as the A1 mini? Might replace an old Ender 3 with an A1. Only bad thing I’ve seen on the A1:s is the camera. Was thinking of waiting for Bambu Lab to upgrade the cam before buying. Then again, not sure Bambu Labs will ever upgrade the cam although they could do it so easily.

You sure it's safe to set retraction to > 2mm? you risk pulling melted filament onto the heatbreak and can cause an obstruction. I had good luck limiting volumetric speed on TPU to 2. I keep retraction to 1mm on my P1S. for the price, the A1 mini is very tempting, but would rather spend a bit more and get the A1 when it gets back on sale.

Never has been any significant issues with this printer. Its big brother, the A1 "not Mini" is the one that had the "OMG, its going to burn your house down" risk. That printer is returning to the market next month after some rehab to address its potential firebug tendencies.
