      Honestly I gotta say Already Gone by Kelly Clarkson is one of them. It may not be empowering but it does help me make peace with a fallout I had with an old friend. It’s empowering in a more peaceful kind of way.

    I've never been through a romantic break up but I love a break up song. 'Stronger' by Britney Spears, 'You Oughta Know' by Alanis Morissette and 'Tears Dry On Their Own' by Amy Winehouse are some of my personal favourites.

    • @dietotaku
      @dietotaku ปีที่แล้ว +2

      i think the only reason "you oughta know" wasn't on this list is because the lyrics aren't super positive, but who says empowering has to equal positivity? i think "every time i scratch my nails down someone else's back i hope you feel it" is incredibly empowering!

    "Dance the night away" by The Mavericks is a great break-up song. The singer is over his relationship and just wants to have fun by going dancing 'with senoritas who can sway'. The only message to his ex that he wants to pass on is that he is doing well without her. Such a catchy song that has a rhythm that encourages you to get up and dance.

    This song talks about how a man wronged their lover (possibly M People) and she how immediately moved on and left the man. With the lyrics "Moving on up, you're moving on out." and "Time to break free, nothing can stop me!" It's very empowering for heartbroken women.

    I"m doing fine now. Don't remember the group who performed it. But it was definitely the soundtrack of my life after divorce. 💝

    Madonna's "It's Human Nature" from her Bedtime Stories album was my liberation song from my first marriage.

    I’m sorry but whenever I hear the song “I Will Survive” I always think about that video of that alien that gets squished by a disco ball! 😂

    Objectively best it has to be Gloria Gaynor's "I will survive".
    As a personal preference, Christina Aguilera's "Fighter" is my top.
