This is an amazing tutorial! It's so easy to follow along and understand. I love how he breaks everything down step by step. Now I feel confident setting up my own DJ equipment at home. Thank you for sharing this helpful guide!
Great tutorial on setting up your DJ equipment! I love how you broke down each step into easy-to-follow instructions. The visuals were also helpful in showing exactly where everything goes. This will definitely come in handy for anyone looking to get started with DJing. Keep up the good work! #DJtips #howtodj #djsetup
One thing you didn't mention, you need to set the CDJ player # BEFORE you connect the LAN cables or plug in any media to the player. Set the player # in the CDJ settings to the same channel you are plugging into the mixer. You'll know it's good because moving the fader volume of that channel should turn the platter of the CDJ red telling you it's "live".
Great tutorial! This video helped me set up my DJ equipment quickly and easily. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Thanks for sharing! 🎧💫 #DJEquipment #HowTo #Setup
Great video I learnt a lot. Please can you advice how you would connect a DLS-1000 to this setup…does it connect to the mixes and via the Link Lan connection.?
Never touched cdjs and mixer in my life , and I'm about to go rent it, cdj and mixer 2000 nexus , is there something I need to know about wifi and routers type thing?
I have a small set of DJ cd decks I have every thing but I don't know where the cables go properly it only has 4channel socket and just a little bit long from the 4 then U have 2 banana pin plugs go I think that 2;is outputs so where does the other 4 go into that line ones
A noobie here with Xone 92 mixer but should be the same set-up when connecting to one studio monitor. So do I just plug in either Left or Right XLR output of my mixer into my XLR balanced input of my studio monitor (Adam A3X?) 1) I'm confused about how sounds will come from Left or Right side, or they will come as mono by default... 2) Is this something that I need to do on the Traktor software or on the mixer? Is that what mono button for booth section is? Thanks
Do I need a separate amplifier from the mixer or you just connect the xlrs straight to the PA? Same question if Im using turntables, I know it has pre amps in phono but still. Tldr does a mixer serve as an amplifier too. Stupid question but just wanna be sure.
i thougt that depends on the system. If you’re using active speakers you can directly connect them to the mixer. I don’t know how it works with an amp but i guess the same process. passive speaker to amp, amp to mixer
I have the exact same setup but with two turntables (technics and audio-technica) unfortunately when we moved and reconnected everything (exactly as I kept photos on exact connections to ensure it was repeated) the turntables stopped producing sound... Not quite sure what happened as the phono plugs were working just fine before and I figured that the mixer had a built in pre-amp or my receiver did. Any thoughts?
Great Video fella. Thanks. hope you can help with this. I am trying to broadcast a radio show from home so I do need to use both booth and monitor as I may need to turn the volume down in my house without effect the volume of the broadcast. currently I have the master volume acting normally but the booth has no effect. My speakers are connected to my amp and my amp is going to phono master sockets on my controller DDJ SR2. Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers!!!
But what's the difference between using SPDIF > DIGITAL and just regular Line level with a CDJ for example? Is there a sound quality improvement when using SPDIF?
Excellent explanation. I'm about to start using a DDJ450 mixer with XDJ1000MKII's. I noticed that the DDJ450 doesn't offer a direct LAN connection. I just have a couple questions. - Where/what exactly should I connect the LAN cables to for the XDJ's? - How exactly would I get a quantized connection from the XDJ's to the DDJ?
www.diffen.com/difference/Hub_vs_Switch With HUB: Collisions occur commonly in setups using hubs. With SWITCH: No collisions occur in a full-duplex switch. Hub's have no longer been used since 2000 :)
@@kimberleybarrett6752 you should use a switch with enough ports and enough capacity. You don’t actually need big capacity for this purpose. I would definitely suggest some 5 port ubiquiti like this one: store.ui.com/collections/unifi-network-routing-switching/products/usw-flex-mini. I am an owner of one and it’s good quality for the price.

Using the SPDIFs eliminates clipping on the inputs. but more importantly it eliminates unnecessary steps of conversion :)
