That's 100% what I feel like. When I watch highlights of any sport from the previous year or 2 and all I see are empty seats it honestly makes me sad, now I see full stands and my heart feels full. Might be a bit much but I'm being honest:)

Short postseason for the White Sox but damn you could tell from this game how much it meant to the south side to be back in the playoffs. What an atmosphere that night. They’ll be back in 2022, they’ve got a real taste of the postseason now

Leury Garcia will be remembered for this game.
Also, the pitching in the latter part of the game was insane considering the momentum both teams had. Javier mowed down the Sox and the White Sox pitchers ended up getting 16 Ks! That's incredible.

Been a sox fan my whole life and have been fortunate enough to be a lot of big games (there aren't mant) and was at the game last night. Never seen a more electric crowd. The stadium was genuinely shaking

Yeah, it can be boring sometimes, I think it's only honest to say so, but when it's playoff time, every pitch has the potential to win or lose a game. Very few sports can match the nail-biting intensity of a deciding game in the late innings. And of course, since every win is so precious and hard-gained, that is what makes baseball the beautiful game that it is!

Wasn't expecting a sweep, but a super disappointing showing, especially considering how hot the bats got early and then just went completely cold.
Such an awesome playoff atmosphere there though. Reminds me of how much more special postseason baseball is with fans rocking the stadium again!

Im not an astros fan, but that call when grandal popped up to guriel and guriel tried to throw to home to get robert out, grandal was 100% off the dirt and in the lane of the throw. shouldve went the atros way
that and when grandal homered, garcia threw a perfect pitch in the corner to K him but ump called it a ball. ump behind the plate missed 20 more calls against the astros then the sox. sox can unbelievably lucky.

Not sure how that call at the plate was made. Runner was in the grass that’s terrible. Don’t think it would have changed much though white Sox weren’t going down that easy.

@@713db7 The ump widened up the zone like crazy. You're right. It forces hitters to make unconventional swings. And yes, the failure to call that pitch a strike on Grandal then led to him hitting a HR. Adam Wainwright was commentating and even he said that it should have been called a strike.
Our Stros were not just trying to beat the White Sox, they were trying to beat the ump and Dusty's insensible bullpen management last night.... Impossible. Tom Hallion, the home plate ump for the game, ended the regular season ranked #87 out of 99 umps based on Overall Accuracy. He ranked as low as #92 on 7/6.
you have 45 feet to get within the base line from home plate and grandal is a lefty so it was perfectly legal

So bad that even the commentators were making fun of the ump saying, “whoah, hold on, don’t call strike yet, and he’s already into his strike delivery motion” Wainwright even said "I'm not going to say much because I'm still an active pitcher and I'm sure he will get assigned to some of my starts"

Obviously he wasn't trying to get hit but most of the time runners have to correct themselves in where they're running and that time he happened to be on the grass which was maybe a little extended but you can see him trying to get back to the line.

I feel they should change the division series into a best of seven instead of best of 5...especially with the wild card round...an extra 2 games wont extendel the season by much...you could even start the season a week earlier...or just make the season 156-160 games
Can't disagree. A 5-game series just doesn't reward a full season of play. It's two more games. Shouldn't be hard to do.

@@sensfan7550 can't argue that. It would mean either scheduling some double headers (like the old days), or shortening the season a few games. If doing that, 154 games like they played until 1961 or so.
Pitchers will be burnt up much faster if the Division series is extended. If a team was to sweep and the other division series games are going to the 5and final game. The team that swept with be at least given either a full week or 2 days rest.
It's all about scheduling doubleheaders, there should be 10 per year but mlb is to greedy and doesn't want a stadium full of patrons to not pay entrance fees again. I suppose day/night would suffice the avaricious but I say give the people some free baseball
Game 4 moved to Tuesday due to Rain Delay in Chicago
if the ump would have got one strike call right bottom of the 3rd and didn't screw up the player running in the lane part, the game would have gone into extra innings.

Bad calls affect momentum. Like when the ump struck out Maldonado in the 4th with a very terrible call. Then the Astros got on 1st and 2nd with 2 outs instead of bases loaded with 1 out. They were able to bring in a runner, but it should have been 2 runners in with 1 out. Alvarez then struck out, ending the momentum. I bet the Astros would have been able to bring in more runs had the Maldonado call been correct. I can live with a bad call in crucial situations, but that was a terrible one and the ump was making them all night long. That is why everybody is saying the Umps won the game.
