If you put the motorcycle in your inventory and take it to the mine you can stack an infinite amount of rubies on the back of it so you don't have to waste time carrying them back to the elevator every time you find one, you will need to unload them in to the elevator and put the bike back in your inventory to go back to the top though. The headlight also stays lit in the mine so it doubles as a light any time you stop riding to fight or mine resources.

I learned that fishing during nights in spring and summer for barracudas and yellow fin tunas were the easiest money maker. Every night you could earn 600-700k, barracudas are easy to spot because they look like eels and the tunas are big, hence the fish book wasn’t necessary. Just fish after the clock hits late or if its evening, bring some bananas and clear out your inventory except for the fishing pole and food. Since fishing doesn’t really require tons of energy, the chances of you passing out is very slim, plus the gray screen really helps with vision. Also turn on build mode so you can have an over head view of the ocean.

You can make 120-160k an evening (yes, just from 6 PM to 11 PM) on non-rainy days on the northern ocean beaches. Look for barricudas ($16k) and stingrays ($3.3k) in the summer, and then add in the fish that look like a bigger Bluefish in the autumn.
Best thing to do, on the first day when time is frozen, explore the whole map and forrage everyrhing plants, wood, fruit, shells, even meat, as the dogs will hunt for you. After all that you can start the game with a whole lot of money and huge foraging skill fo 20+.
I do this. You can get a head start on your points and levels also.
A method I use and didn't see anyone talking about it is using the metal detector to farm for the quarry parts, then when Franklyn comes buy a quarry. When you have some of them, wake up, mine the quarry and go to sleep, with time you will build more quarry and will be easier, I know is a little exploiting in a way but it certainly works. I started using this method looking for the right visitor and I make some money too.
If you have the patience you can do the 3 tasks for deeds every day and advance in this way
I make a fruit salad orchard very early, and buy chooks. Fried eggs are a great stamina boost. But I eat mostly fruit salad, that way you can save up all the cooked meat you collect over time to sell to Ted Selly when you run into him, he’ll pay the big bucks for that.
Also, if you have plenty of fried big chicken eggs, fish the northern ocean in summer for barracuda and yellowfin tuna, just swap out your junk catches until your inventory is full of the good stuff, I made 500k in one night doing this. You do need a boat and it takes a while, and you need plenty of food for stamina, but if you’re aiming to bank $1mil, this is a great way to get a big payday.
If you plant your orchard trees close together (no spaces between them), when you harvest them they drop to the outside of your trees, making collecting much more easily.

bro you might wanna crack open that big rock you weighed in, you got like 65k dinks for it. I had 1 of those cracked it open and it had 3 opals inside, sold for closer roughly 25k each giving me 75k total
Nail farm nail farm ! Bury nails and let the sprout into barrels and other stuff!
Just put the nail in a hole and return. I do this in a 20×100 area and in 6 days you have at least a million dinks in stuff.

Don't forget farming, I think I made over a million from 2500 corn. Large crops may be hard at first but they definitely pay off big once you can grow a lot. Watering them all takes the most time but invest in advanced sprinklers and your good.
