    I'm in year 13 and i made the mistake of not staying in track of note taking and now I have less 1 month to study all of the topics from both years. I really wish I started revision in year 12 but I can't take that time back, which is why for anyone who is in year 12 or going into it and doing any a level subject(not just chemistry), START MAKING REVISION NOTES FROM THE START. Dont leave it for next time, because before you know it, it will be A-levels and you'll be stressing out because you dont know anything, especially from the year 1 work.

Also, do you think it's possible to finish Bio AS (all topics) and take its examination in October/November along with a unit from Chemistry? I want to finish before May/June in year 13 in case I need to retake any subjects. I'm currently in year 11, moving on to year 12 next year. Thank you again for all your study tips and tricks 🌸🌸 wishing you all the best in your future 💕

    you're so stunning and this was a very informative video! i wanted to ask how can i improve in the maths related content in chemistry a levels? i'm quite bad at maths and i keep getting the moles, energetic questions wrong and if you have any tips on how to improve and study multiple subjects a day

    • @luluhalim
      @luluhalim  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry I just saw this comment now, thank you! In regards to the maths content in chemistry, I would say the main thing would be just practising, however some things you can do would be to memorise the methods and writing down any questions you get wrong so you can go back to them often. Usually the math questions would follow a certain pattern so writing down the main methods after every question would help a lot!
      In terms of studying multiple subjects a day, usually I would just set myself a to do list / goals that I want to achieve in the day and I would allocate myself time slots for each subject. Some people prefer to do each subject all at once and others prefer to mix it up more so just find out which one works the best for you.

    Hi!! I’m really interested in doing dentistry for university, but I’m really stressed because it’s so hard to find work experience.. Wondering if you had any tips for actually finding working experience. Thank you so much!!

    • @luluhalim
      @luluhalim  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! I would say perhaps emailing your GPs and the dentists in any clinics nearby about work experience is a nice way to start. I don’t have a lot of experience actually because due to covid I couldn’t get much work experience. However keep in mind that any other health-related experience also counts, for example cadets (st john ambulance) and volunteering in a care home etc. in addition to non-health related experiences that you can use as well!

    thank you! I am retaking chemistry and sitting the 2023 summer exams. My plan right now is to complete specification notes and flash cards -> do all physics maths tutour questions as I complete each topic -> go through and memorise from my notes and flash cards focusing on my weaknesses using active recal -> make summary posters -> finish all the past papers before my exam
    Does this look realistic? As a slow learner, how many hours of work shall I do each day so I can follow this plan well?
    Thank you so much!

    • @luluhalim
      @luluhalim  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think that looks realistic yeah! As physics and maths tutor does repeat questions quite a lot, I would also recommend using a-level chemistry.co.uk for topic questions. I would say dedicating a good 1-2 hours a day on weekdays depending on how you’re planning to schedule yourself sounds good. To get a better idea of how much time you should spend, you could start with making a schedule of all the topics and when you’re going to do each one + questions. That way you can see exactly how much time you need. Good luck!

      @luluhalim  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Wa iyakum! It depends really on how much time you have but A2 chemistry is quite difficult compared to AS so I would say like a 7 perhaps? the most important thing I’d say really is to keep doing practice questions and make sure that you understand the information instead of just memorising that helps a lot! @luluhalim  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Hello sorry I can’t help cuz i didn’t do it! What I can do though is ask my brother because he did english literature and got an A* so I’ll ask him for some of his best tips and comment them down when he replies😊

    • @luluhalim
      @luluhalim  ปีที่แล้ว +10

      These are the best tips from my brother:
      - Make sure to always reread the texts and key extracts continuously
      - Read model essays and articles on poetry along with other literature articles ( you can find some on guardian poetry) as that will help in understanding how to plan and structure your answers.
      - Make plans for hypothetical essays about all the characters and possible themes for each text ( pays off a lot as you’ll end up getting an exam question that you already planned before)
      - when you’re writing your essay, you must avoid waffling. A good way to practice is whenever you write an answer essay, reread it and check if there’s any sort of waffling or repeating of any information and then change that and avoid it in your next paragraph
      - finally, practice makes perfect, keep practicing and asking your teachers to mark your answers and pinpoint where you are losing marks + try to understand the mark scheme as much as you can as that helps in forming a to do list for marks whenever you’re writing an answer.
