    Great video and information . Id received a set of TRW M3 arms from Malaysia, thankfully found this video before fitting. Returning them for Lemforder M3 wishbone and E90 tension arm ready for monoball install.

    What about aluminum lower control arm for e34 between lemforder vs trw, which one is better? Great video btw, straight to the point 👍💯

      Sorry for the delayed reply. I have no experience with the E34 arms. If a compatible Lemforder arm is available I would never hesitate to use it. I have never seen a Lemforder arm that was in any way inferior to a TRW or other brand of arm.

    BMW X6M (F86) owner here.
    Lemforder sells control arms for the base F15/F16 series but not the M versions. I've searched the whole Internet trying to figure out if the base model Lemforder and Meyle control arms are geometrically the same but with different, stiffer bushings. The OEM M bushings are readily available and should just be able to be swapped out. Another thing, if Meyle ball joints and bushings are stiffer than base model, shouldn't they be equivalent to M control arms as well. Just a thought. Maybe you can look into that as these control arms for F85/F86 SUVs can be very very expensive when compared to the alternative. Thank you.

      Just from the online images I've found, it appears that the "M" and Non-M" versions are a different shape. Unfortunately I have no information regarding the stiffness of the BMW M bushings compared to the aftermarket Meyle bushings. The ball joint ends should be the same as far as stiffness but maybe not quality.

    Quick question about "GAS BMW E82 1M & E90 M3 TRW-GAS Front Control Arms and Monoball Kit"
    Are the wishbones included in the kit also the Lemforder arms? If that's the case there is effectively a difference in the camber right? Couldn't find any information on the product page about whether or not the TRW M-series wishbones or the Lemforder wishbones are included in this kit.

      Sorry for the late reply. The wishbone arms in the complete kit are still the German made TRW arms.

      @German Auto Solutions No problem. I actually called and talked to you on the phone right after posting this comment and ended up ordering the arms - I just got my wheels in, so I'm in the process of getting the car put together, thanks much!

    What is the warranty on the gas monoballs?

    • @germanautosolutions290
      @germanautosolutions290  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We warranty them for five years. That being said we have been selling them for over ten years and haven't had a reported failure yet. The Monoball should out last the control arm itself. The ball joint at the steering knuckle end of the control arm is exposed to much more moisture and dirt, has a much greater range of motion and has less surface area on the ball itself, which means it will fail before the monoball.

    Do they weigh the same?

    • @germanautosolutions290
      @germanautosolutions290  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm sure they are within a few ounces of each other. I have a TRW arm here with the Monoball already installed. I will have to weigh it against a Lemforder arm with monoball installed and post another reply shortly.
