YEAAHHHHHHH DUDE! FUCKIN AWESOME!!! We're you hitting this last Saturday? I was on Granite at Palisades that afternoon for the first time in 20 years and saw some bomb holes and was like where f was that launch pad?! Lol. Lived in the valley for two years 04-05 and met your mom and dad, and you, i think? Or your sister--little babies. Served them breakfast at Tantarra Restaurant at the end of the village. They were a delight to chat with, and your dad was my ski hero growing up. And such an awesome guy all around. Awesome to see to see you fuckin shredding it out there Noah! Thanks for sharing the vids! ❤
The most impressive thing to me is I could sense how scary it was to you and yet you tried it THREE times, anyways! Well done! Wish someone had a recording of what you looked like coming down!
@@patrickchase5614I’m sorry to hear that. I was lucky enough to ski Berthoud Pass with him Many years ago. He wouldn’t have remembered me but it was a huge highlight for me. Thanks for letting me know and I’m so happy to see Noah taking it up.
Yes. I think it's Goodwill's Air to the looker's right of Patrol Chute but I'm not 100% positive. I've skied the Patrol Chute many times, but never even looked at this air. I had to look it up in Squallywood just now to figure out what it was.
Is this Goodwill's Air? EDIT: nvm, it's all over the Interwebs. It's Goodwill's. At least I can still recognize Palisades lines in my old age (though I cheated and looked in Squallywood for this one).
I bruised myself up underrotating a 3 yesterday, and you’re out here trying a double back off a 30+ foot cliff after wiping out twice. No clue how you can handle those blows, even with the powder
@@noahgaffney You did a straight-air off Goodwill's when you were like 12 or 13!? I assume you did the single-air variation and not the double then as well?
This is up on the traverse from the Granite Chief chair to Granite Chief peak - you can see the top of the chair in the upper-left corner at 0:20, where you can see a traverse-track originating from the trees. You don't even save all that much _climbing_ by skiing all the way out to the lift and taking it back up, and it's a slow lift.
That was massive - more camera angles please :)
That my good sir…is what she said
I like that you included the failed attempts. Sick send!
Making Robb and Shane proud with this one. Keep it up Noah!
Holy Toledo. What a beautiful day for some mind bending skiing. Congratulations on an incredible send. Wow.
Showing my kids this. Not necessarily for the double back but that you kept trying and belief you could do it. Good life lessons.
Making Rob Proud! Sick send...

Incredible! also love the bro in jeans hanging and pumping up at the top
After that last countdown and you said "Drop" you could hear the confidence in your voice. Was so sick dude
Nice work, Noah. Great edit too. I love the positive self talks you gave yourself. Keep these posts coming. You are one entertaining skier to watch.
So sick. Love when a skier only accepts a stomp! Confidence and visualization mastered
The most impressive thing to me is I could sense how scary it was to you and yet you tried it THREE times, anyways! Well done! Wish someone had a recording of what you looked like coming down!
Noah you're out here doing it my man. Not a lot of sends I've seen on this level
The Gaffney laugh is a thing! Nice work, Noah.
Was worried you didn't go left enough on the last attempt but nailed it, sick drop and thanks for sticking with the attempt.
Absolutely bonkers. That late layout was sick.

Dude, that is seriously insane! I don't even know what to think. Congrats!
OMG. Been there, never done that, but I can feel that empty stomach in my throat feeling.
Those last 3 seconds of count down went way fast hahahaha. Breathe brotha! Congrats!!

Yuge! Nice work giving it a couple goes 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Great job!! Totally awesome! I must ask what settings you used for your camera. I am always looking for more ideas on my own videos as an old guy! 🤘
Amazing! I've no idea how you do that.
Noah...you dog.! Yeah a Rottweiler with GIANT balls. Respect.
I'm no mathematician but that looked like more than 2. That took some massive balls though
Extremely sick dude, nice work!
Absolutely fearless 🎿
Dude so sickkkk … those wipeouts had to be extreme even tho you make them look chill 😂
That is awesome young man!
Love it no doubt.
But for this to be the only camera angle in 2024 is damn near criminal
Noah getting sick with it!
Sick dude way to try again!
This is something to add to my list of things I will never, ever do.
the gaffney dna is firing! love it!
Gaffney.... I know that name from many years ago Colorado. Is this a legacy? I hope so!
His son. Robb passed away earlier this year tho.

Third time = perfection. Impressed.
🔥 uppercut!…..You WIN!
It doesn't count if you don't ride it out.
Run 3: Fucking legit.
Amazing huck. Solid landing.
Mad props.

Awesome job!!! Granite Chief?
Yes. I think it's Goodwill's Air to the looker's right of Patrol Chute but I'm not 100% positive. I've skied the Patrol Chute many times, but never even looked at this air. I had to look it up in Squallywood just now to figure out what it was.
Congrats noah that was awesome 👏
That was fucking insane!! Heck yeah bro
Wow! Sick! Third time is the charm, as it turns out:)
Wow, man. That's fuggin *GNARLED!* 🤩🤙
Thanks for sharing!
That was insane, wow. Too bad no one else was recording though!
Well done man! Absolutely insane!w
Imagine being a normal person just catching some powder, and then you see this madlad double backflipping off of a cliff.
Crazy going for it 3 times
Always gonna be Squaw Valley to me.
Is this Goodwill's Air?
EDIT: nvm, it's all over the Interwebs. It's Goodwill's. At least I can still recognize Palisades lines in my old age (though I cheated and looked in Squallywood for this one).
how about additional pov like from the bottom and the top
Hell yea that was sick
Whenever I hear radio chatter on the GoPro recoding before the drop I know some effed up stuff is about it to go down
Yeeeaaaahhh buddyyyyyy!!!
You have enough time to decide on dinner after your 2nd rotation before landing. Absolutely mad.
I bruised myself up underrotating a 3 yesterday, and you’re out here trying a double back off a 30+ foot cliff after wiping out twice. No clue how you can handle those blows, even with the powder
Nice job 👍
Such a G. That was sick pov seeing you going back until you stomp

Dude thats hilight of most peoples life
Noah love your clips was this this weekend?
So rad dude! 🤙🏻
Unreal bro! 🔥
how many times did you single backflip this before doubling up?
Never singled it, just went for the double right away. Straight jumped it about 6 years ago and that’s the only other time I’ve hit this one
@@noahgaffney You did a straight-air off Goodwill's when you were like 12 or 13!? I assume you did the single-air variation and not the double then as well?
legendary !
So rad 🤙
Thats historic Squaw Valley though!
so sick!
that was so cracked
Third times a charm. 🎉
Insane!
You hike it back up instead of taking the chair? Is it faster?
a lot faster
