Cool deal!!! Glad to see you went with the porta-band. I was definitely surprised to see that blade keep cutting after three inches of concrete!!! Keep in mind when you buy more blades that 8-11 teeth-per-inch works best for cutting that thick steel. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Good morning Brock. I have a Mikita Chop Saw that I bought in the 80's that is great for thinner material but this portable band saw would be a great addition to any shop. I also use the "Gas Axe" a lot. God bless and have a wonderful day. 👍👍🙂
Lucky you Brock. We didn't get any rain yesterday but we got some earlier this morning. Seems like a good saw. I mean it cut that concrete pipe easy enough lol. I bet you could sel that pipe on market place and you wouldn't even have to haul it off now that you cut short. Ive been looking at a battery pole saw from vevor. Just comparing them to everyone else's pole saw.
Porta Bansaw is worth its weight in gold around the farm….. you can cut anything with it…. Even concrete as you have shown!! 😂😂🔥🔥🔥. I have had the one I’m using now for 18 years. Not high use by any means but when you need it, it’s the perfect tool. I have tons of folks wanna borrow it…. I say no to that but yes to bringing by my shop and I will make the cut for you..
Howdy Brock! Gotta protect those eyes Brock... safety glasses 👀!! Looks like it is a pretty sturdy little unit - perfect for the light duty person like myself. Was wondering - did the instructions recommend a light cutting oil of some kind? Might prolong the life of the blades. Bah... the instructions are just one person's opinion... lol! Thanks for sharing 🤠
Nice demo, Brock. That looks like a good alternative to a higher-dollar portable band saw for the weekend warrior! Awful hard to beat the price, even if it only lasts a couple-three years for light-to-medium use. Take care and God Bless.
I bought a Milwaukee Cordless Band Saw... Probably one of the most underwhelming product purchases I have ever made. Bought it to remove the broken carbide teeth on the soil conditioner and the blade couldn't reach. If that wasn't a disappointment, every other time I've tried to use it it seems that an angle grinder and a cutoff disc, plasma, torch or anything else would have been better. I'm sure there is a use for a metal band saw but I haven't had much luck.
I’ve done 1150 videos and 7 of them show a vevor product You Get What You Pay For th-cam.com/video/tpzes-zMqj4/w-d-xo.html This isn’t the airport. You don’t have to announce your departure.
I disagree. I’ve got a whole bunch of products from Vore and I only had an issue with one of them. Everything else is still working well. I also buy tools from Harbor freight. Do you know you’re getting a cheap tool but sometimes that price is worth it.

That pulsing you feel is the weld in band going through your cut.

Yo Brutta there nothing wrong with “ reasonably “ priced tools for the right job, keep us posted on the longevity of the tool!
Looks like a great purchase 👍
I never scrap usable metal as soon as you do it will be needed
I'm like you, I never scrap any usable metal. 👍
To a point I agree but after a while you run outta room and have crap everywhere. Lol

You got your money worth just doing this project! And then you own it for future use too. Good deal 👍🏻
That tool looks like a food tool to me.
What I find particularly interesting is that it applies the same operational method like the wood mill.

Good plan. Thanks for the feedback.

My knees hurt from watching you kneel on that gravel 😅😊
Good Morning Brock!
That worked quite well!
If you have priced pipe lately, you would make a pipe rack and save the straight sections for projects.

I also got a plasma cutter from vevor but it is still in the box
Oh, I can't believe that you didn't smoke the blade. Great job. What are you going to make with it? A rock screen?🤪
I always wanted one of those.
What kind of lube should be helpful to maintain blade health?
Nice Tool! 👍
Sometimes a squirt of oil helps
All that round bar can be used in concrete
***Be aware that the band saw they list as cordless is CORDED as of 9/12/2023
Little gold mine of steel
Oil? I would lubricate the blade.
I can't Belcourt went throught the concrete and it's still cutting steel.
Same here. Still the original blade with no lubricant
Does this remind you of limbing a tree?
👀
Don't pinch the blade
I hate to be the Safety Police, but those glasses won’t protect your eyes sitting up there on your forehead 😮. Thanks for sharing.

When you start shilling for Vevor you've reached the bottom. The only thing worse than Vevor products is their customer service.
