I died on the last part of fighting sigma with the floating hands. Then I as I would reluctantly expect, I'd have to start over the last level again with depleted power ups and health tanks. I said f*** that and instead opted to watch you beat it and vicariously experience the ending as if it were me. Hehe... Sighs...
If you die you can recharge your power ups, fill your sub tanks and gain extra lives by farmimg the worms that come out of the wall that you climb. Just charge the shield shot up and bump into the worms coming out the wall until your all charged back up. It takes like 3 minutes of farming
Yeah Sigma is a tough, grueling battle that at the very least should be prepared for by getting every upgrade and filling your tanks. Even then, his attacks hit so freaking hard. Took me a lot of attempts my first try. I use the cutter to farm, didn’t even think of Rolling Shield
I think the ending narration about "How much longer must he fight?"was probably _meant_ to read like the melodramatic outros that you would hear on old-school radio, movie, and TV dramas. Also, gotta love the post-credits scene of Sigma basically saying "You realize I'm coming back for the sequel, right?"

The worms do drop a lot of energy; you just need to die to Sigma first... Also of note Sigma is somehow immune to the "dash damage boost". Found the easter egg by accidentally turning off transparency effects during the credits...lol
Part of me was worried you were just gonna Hadoken your way through the dog. Well done! You make me wanna try more challenge LPs :) Not getting hit by final Sigma is always a bitch, isn't it?
It is actually impossible to damage Sigma's final form with the Hadouken Fireball. You can still attack him with it, but the fireball will be absorbed and it will make the shielded noise you hear from shooting the X-Buster at armored enemies. I have video proof of this, and it is posted for all to see.
This boss is so rage indusing. To learm on your own what is final form and how to kill it, you'll have to murder that dog so many times, you'll see it in dreams. First form of Sigma is really hard, untill you figure out how to pattern-lock it. Then it's just dumb. BTW man, your dog was so much easier than mine! Mine was jumping all over the place and never going on same patternt twice.
its easy to hadoken the dog and normal Sigma, but with his other form it's not so easy. Also that easter egg ending just made me say "....Dammit!" when i first played this. Great walkthrough tho!! :D

Who made both Zero, *and the virus that corrupted Sigma and most of the other Reploids who go Maverick in the games. * Basically, Sigma found Zero in an abandoned Wily Lair and woke him up only for him to go berserk until Sigma broke his head crystal. During their battle, the capsule containing the virus was smashed open, resulting in Sigma getting infected.
Woohoo! Just did it on the Switch Collection and my fingers hurt xD. For sure folks get another controller than the standard switch one since the directional buttons are separate and just don't feel right so I used the stick instead.
@ShadowBeastattacks Actually, the Dash Boots were put in Flame Mammoth's stage. The helmet was put in Chill Penguin's, the Armour in Storm Eagle's and the buster in Sting Chamelon's. None of which are actually hidden all that well.

@ShadowBeastattacks It's probably for people who want to do minimalist runs, and therefore go through with as little powerups as possible. Which would be just Zero's Blaster.
@ShadowdaHedgie11 actually thats hidden as well but it was meant for those explor cuz its still in the chill penguin stage around the same area just that a room was added that you couldn't tell from first glance xD but it makes the stage go much slower

@ProToken 420 That's why we have Sub-Tanks. Also Sigma 1, provided you fire off the Hadōken immediately, will actually dash right into it. Velguarder is slightly tricky due to which of its moves it does first. If it jumps to the wall, just wait for it to bounce back and it'll get hit after landing. Wolf Sigma (2nd form) is outright immune to the Hadōken, you MUST use Rolling Shield or a fully-charged (purple glow) X-Buster.
Use Rolling Shield's alternate mode to farm the little worm things. Just sit under the place where they come out with the shield active. Takes very little time to fill 4 sub-tanks. 😊

As far as know wolf sigma is immune to the Hadoken. It works in Maverick Hunter X but not in this game. This is what I've been told from the Mega Man X Speedrun Discord

Came over from watching a playthrough from Maverick Hunter and though the grphicsare better, the music is superior and the final boss seems a bit more difficult. Rose tinted nostalgia glasses I suppose. Lol

Why do I feel like the bad guy in this series?
That's because X kills more Reploids than anyone else. X8 explains it really well. It makes you think in the end.

You can Hadouken Sigma, but you have to be fast with him charging at you.

I think I've heard of an exploit that takes away or bypasses the immunity, but the memory is nebulous and I could be confusing it with something else.
