Sorry for the late release of this video! My workload for this week was hectic and I was feeling a little lazy :)
I'm hoping to release my next R90 episode on Friday-Saturday as usual!!
EDIT: Oh, and for those who've never done any vending before...
You can find the "Private Shop" button through the menu in the bottom left. Just open it up, should be somewhere in the middle :)

1st requirement - stable internet. Disconnect = seting up all the mess again. 2nd thing - calculate if it is worth the effort. Running machine for several hours can cost more in real money than earned penya. One could calculate what predicted amount of penya/h is worth to run shop on your machine.

Meh, I was too curious. My laptop use 50W. In my country energy costs 0.29$/kWh. It gives operating cost 0.0145$/h. For 30$ i can get 3300F. It gives 33Gpros sold for 19M/each. So 1$ gives 20.9M penya. I need around 300k/h to have some profit. So spending time selling greens for 100k is not worth the effort. But if I sell sth for 1M during 3h it starts to make sens.

Honestly, it isn't even limited to the players' internet connection anymore but also in relation to server-side issues :/ I run an ethernet connection and I might still suffer disconnections from time to time, and sometimes not even all of my characters get disconnected, but rather only some of them. If it was up to my internet, I expect all of them would disconnect all at once x.x
Running your machine overnight is but one of many examples how to take care of vending, you can just leave a vendor for a few hours before you go to sleep or even run a client in the background while you're working to hold a shop. Putting up a shop overnight is probably one of the ill-suited examples I could've given though xD In some cases though if you'd be running your PC anyway, I don't think there's any particular loss involved aside from taking the time to set up a vendor :)
Calculations beyond just regularly needed items like protection scrolls are pretty unreliable as people have quite selective needs for things like gear and not everything can be calculated, but overall it can be a question of whether one feels that dealing with vending with current stock is worth the effort. But that's up to the player to define x)

@@Pyrografpl Didn't get a notification for the follow-up comment! This one's a pretty curious little research you made, thanks for sharing this :D Assuming that energy isn't an issue though and/or you're not running your machine deliberately for vending, passive income is still possible at all price points. I wouldn't bother much with holding shops if I wasn't expecting millions with each vending session though, so it also comes down to one's personal evaluation how much penya makes it worth it x)
In this particular case, it's important to also move up from small greens and stick to quality rather than quantity once you reach that point :> Selling hundreds of greens for several hundred thousand over a few products worth dozens of millions is never going to be more productive! :P

Nice find! Glad that market diving proved useful to you x) Mind you that +7 is the best you can drop directly from monsters, so +7 should still be in the affordable range. After that APros get involved and people start ramping the price a lot x)

the problem with merching in this game is people are either
    1) really really greedy and list shit for way above its ACTUAL value, (historic swords worth 15m clean people will sell them for 25-30m)
2)OR people just are completely un-aware of the prices on things they are selling and will A. Never sell them, OR B. Sell them way under value.
Merching is hard for beginners. Like my clan mates are very very rich and have Bils, but dont want to merch because of how tedius and broken the markets are sometimes.
Personally if you guys are looking to merch stick to things like small items that cost low, but will have desire to be purchased out. These items are everywhere.
    ~Try this~
    (mushpoie server prices)
-Guru (worth 3800) can sell for 4000 each
-krasec (worth 3800) can sell for 4000 each
-minerals (worth1500) can sell 2000 each
-erons (worth 2400) can sell for 2600 each

The fact that people aren't actually sharing their prices or sharing what they sold items for is probably the biggest issue I have with some of the more valuable items, say items beyond 100m. It always comes down to whoever comes with the biggest offer (which can be fabricated) or the price is discussed in DMs, which leaves the true value of the item really hard to discover for other players. I understand you want as much profit as possible, but it makes trading high-end items REALLY sketchy :/
One can have many opinions about an item's value objectively, but really the market value comes down to what customers are ready to pay for. Prices can unfortunately fluctuate due to both greed and a change in demand, and an item that used to sell for much less could get its selling price multiplied several times, like was in the case of Guardian Axes shown in this video. It used to be like 10-15m around November, but now you won't see any for less than 50m clean. The best course of option would be simply not to buy them, but it comes down to which side loses patience first x)
Like I said, merching definitely doesn't come without the risks involved. I do mention that on the side in the video and it's never like walking on roses. I think the game's small population also makes it difficult for prices to be staple and therefore are more prone to unexpected changes. But that's why in Flyff in particular I promote the idea of CONSTANTLY checking the market and not sticking to assumptions to what prices are (and therefore what they will be), and make transactions based on recent information gathered from browsing. Even a week might be "old information".
Stackable consumes/materials are definitely a reliable way to go though since no matter what, there's always gonna be a demand for them. More tangible items change based on the volume of players who'd want something like a suit for level 105 at the given moment. It's a great place to start :)

they should just implement an auction hall, even with 30% tax it would still be used. god knows we need a penya drain, specially with all the bots flying around.

    • @emenalus
      @emenalus  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

As much as I understand the fact that people hate taxation, I am the sort to understand why that would be REALLY important. I am in complete agreement that a taxing system for an auction house would be better as the game doesn't have enough penya sinks as thinks currently stand. That's what OSRS also did with GE, and for a good reason :P
I guess people partially also play the game because the feel is like in a medieval marketplace rather than in an organized shopping mall, which does make it different from other MMOs. Open marketplaces do come with their own downsides though, like Zach commented about players' greediness earlier. You can fool a player, but not a public market system. And if it would discourage the use of bots more, I'd be all in for it! ^^
EDIT: Fixed a couple spelling mistakes :p

Pretty much! A concept that could be used generally in just about any game with an open market, but also talking about the details that one should know in Flyff specifically x)

New to the game sir, currently level 24. Do you have any suggestions sir on how can I level up fast without spending too much of my penyas for food items? cause I don't have any upgraded items/weapons tho that's why I spent some food stuff while battle/grind. Any suggestions sir would be appreciated so much.

Undeniably, a huge chunk of your money goes into food and potions in the early levels. The prices are pretty high in contrast to earnings, and you can't really avoid being hit in early levels x)
My suggestion would be that if you can't reduce the amount of food you buy (maybe the food you buy is unnecessarily strong and you overheal?), then you need to make some more money.
Quests are a great way to make some starting income, even office quests will give a decent amount of money at early levels. Turn in quest items and sell the excess gear you drop from monsters, and you should be able to sustain buying food comfortably. If quest items sell for a good price in your server, you could consider even making a shop to sell some and perhaps gain even more than you would from turning them in yourself! :)
Another thing you could do is also see if anyone could buff and/or heal you. You might see Ringmasters around in towns and you could ask nicely if they could buff you, and therefore making you so powerful that you can do much more while needing less food. Or if there's a fresh new support Assist you could pair up with, even the most basic heals could prevent you from having to use food entirely. Or if you're not against multiboxing (running multiple accounts at the same time), you could even make an Assist tagalong for yourself ^^ Be sure to at least grab basic buffs from the Buff Pang if you got nothing else!!
Last consideration to make is whether you should play another class. Most auto-attack based classes tend to be hard to build in the beginning and may be a struggle, but Magicians or bow Acrobats in the beginning become consistent much faster and can result in less costs :)
You should probably also check out my leveling guide if you haven't already, there's some more information there that might prove useful to you x) Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/uEZ6wnmEz9Q/w-d-xo.html
Hope this helps you, and good luck on your leveling journey! :>
