    Thank you for your tutorials as they are quick and easy to follow. Since this is a printable, should the original file be created in CMYK rather than RGB? I see that some else had this same question before me.

    • @SandraDi
      @SandraDi  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Since CMYK is for printing, yes saving it to CMYK would be ideal. However after speaking with others in this niche, many still save it to RGB and the colors come out the same. In my opinion, it depends on the printers on the other end. So everyone does it differently but technically speaking, CMYK should produce more vibrant colors

    • @annelikriek6294
      @annelikriek6294 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is my biggest concern and roadblock! I've saved things CMYK and RGB and both can come ou horid and neon. I'm using a pantone colour guide with cmyk values and even then it can come out looking nog even close.
      I've been a graphic designer for 8years and this still is a problem for me, aspecially for printables. Any advice?

    Question: I'm just learning how to use Illustrator and kinda playing around with it cause I want to create a couple of artworks to frame and put on my walls. I want one of them to be 24x36, so it's on a larger scale.
    What file format do you think I should save it as considering it's a large scale?
    I went on Etsy and saw that most sellers sell large-scale prints as jpg or even png but isn't jpg a lossy file?
    Will it print at a high resolution if I save it as a jpg (considering jpg is a lossy file)? I'm obviously going to set the dpi at 300 but it could still just drop the resolution and print pixelated and I definitely don't want that 😂
    (Sorry for the long comment)

      @sanpls 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@annelikriek6294 Hi,
      CMYK is best for the printing process, I recommend to use CMYK color.
      I don't have much experience with printing with RGB colors. RGB color printing will depend on the printer. I have done a few RGB color illustration prints. The outcome is good with slight color changes. But It is alright. But there were slight color changes on the printed document. I saw bright colors on the computer screen, but the colors are not bright once I printed it.
      If you can do printing with both color profiles and check the difference with your own, the result will be great. You can see clearly the difference between RGB print and CMYK print.

    Hello, thanks for sharing your content, it is very useful, you could make a tutorial to sell only the digital designs for them to download, specifically aimed at designs for sublimation so they can send them to be printed on their t-shirts. What I would like to know is, exactly what color profile to use. Illustrator, either RGB or sRGB to save as PNG, and what should the color mode be? And also, what measurement would be the correct one to consider as high resolution to offer to the client?

I'm leaning towards Illustrator so I'm not having to pay for each item I sell. In Canva, there is a charge, isn't there?
