  • In this vidoe, I show you how to make sai oua. Sai Oua Lao sausage is packed with exciting flavors that no other sausage can compare to. It comes with all the essential Lao ingredients packed into fatty pork goodness. There will be blasts of lemongrass, galangal, and plenty of umami from the padaek. The process is a labor of love but once you finish, it will be well worth every bite. Deep frying the pieces will make it unstoppable.

Thank you for your channel! My mom was Lao and sadly she passed away in 2015. I know a handful of her recipes, but this sausage was one I never thought I would be able to eat again because I never knew how she made it. She actually used to sit there on a stool in the kitchen for HOURS stuffing by hand with her thumbs. Thank you again for sharing, means so much to me. 🙂

Lao sausages are legit the best in the world. They're different but, really, nothing tastes like it. My family just eats it with sticky rice but yknow.

Wow, you don't use the Markut limes? I'm surprised to learn that, as I think of them as being far superior to Persian limes. I worked a grocery store where we sold them for a while, and I miss having access to them. They're like a super lime. So oily and dense and delicious. I'm so obsessed, I'm going to get a green house and grow my own. Bonus, free lime leaves!
