  • We picked this machine up for $80 AUD on ebay. It definitely cleans up the discs. But it doesn't really remove scratches too well.

      Of course it doesn't work on a DVD that has grooves instead of scratches

      35 on eBay now is it still worth it?

    • @UltimateTBone
      @UltimateTBone ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Maine2point0 No. It's hardly spinning, so it does almost nothing.

      @@TheIldebrandoz For this kind of scratch you need the JFJ Easy Pro, but it's pricey... this one help to reduce scratch, but it's a little machine that doesn't "repair" the CD as a whole.

    Well I have that machine too since...I think around 2007? can't remember...
    You don't have to change pads every try, you can use the yellow ones even 4 times in a row, to mark better the repairing.
    I have repaired a lot of scratches like this; you can't repair heavy lines, obviously.
    Best 40 euros spent in decades.

    you need the ELM Master. it only runs $22,000 and will do 50 discs at a time

    Those scratches are far too deep for a disc cleaner, so it’s really not the disc cleaner at fault.

    That did absolutely nothing. I could literally do that for free without a machine.

    Nar I reckon it could still be worth getting. It's still a level up from just using a wet wipe at home. That disk is pretty messed bro it still cleared up the light scratches on that disk.

    • @DohpeGames
      @DohpeGames  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yep it's certainly never gonna make a disc look brand new again, but it does tidy them up a bit and we still use it when we need to.

    How many seconds or minute did you put it in there 3 times I was just curious 🤔

    • @DohpeGames
      @DohpeGames  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Good question - It takes about 60 seconds each time you put it in. That's just a guess though, as I have not timed it!

    For £50 that i paid for these are not as good as i thought they would be, some scrached discs require 3-4 turns using the pads 3-4 times each. ive managed to fix a few gae disc, but to be honest this machine cant handle many disks it is ok for light scratch discs, but mid to heavy discs it hopeless

    Welp, good to know the thing is rubbish. Maybe if you used cutting polish for cars, that might give better results.

    I guess this is where piracy comes in, legally you own the disc. 😂 Luckily you can burn PS2 games now that run on any Slim PS2 without hacks or chips.

  • @TheIldebrandoz
    @TheIldebrandoz ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The result depends on how deep the scratches are. It almost seems that on that DVD you have hoed over it.
