Those little black flakes are from the foam packaging surrounding the rifle. They have a bit of static that makes them stick. I’m not complaining. The gun was well packed/protected.
Good call. Makes sense to me. Not complaining either, was just confused on what it was but that makes perfect sense
Have had my hmr pro for 2 years now with no troubles...no target was included with my gun but sid have a signed tag from the guy who assembled the rifle in Georgia...the rifle has the smmothest bore of any barrel ive ever owned including a couple after market match barrels...whem doing barrel break in you coul feel how smooth it was and how little copper fouling it collected...so far the finish has held up well on mine...had the action out of stock only once ....bedding looked as it should...replaced swivel studs with short section of picitinny rail to mount bipod and use recess sling (too much stuff hanging on bottom for conventional carry...ive had no problems with rifle so far..accuracy with my rifle has been outstanding....load my ammo with bullet 10 thousands off lands(hornady eld match and h4350) and it will shoot .330 all day to the point its boring....the range i shoot is only 600 yards long....for my rifle thats only a chip shot, 1000 yards would only test my shooting ability...have adjusted triggertec trigger to 1.5 lbs, love it...ill never buy another timney....bergara quality may haved tanked since iv bought mine or i just got a good one. I can honesty say that in my 67 years i have never had a more accurate out-of-the-box rifle
Awesome feedback. I love all my bagaras
Just got mine and I’m excited to get it out there
Great rifle isn’t it. Just saw they announced the wilderness with a carbon barrel too which is awesome
You and I definitely have the same hobbies 😊so what kind of groups did you wind up getting from that rifle?
I just picked up a 308 hmr pro and it had the black flakes as well
So weird right?
Thank you 😊
You’re welcome and happy easter
Regardless of cost, is there any big difference that makes sense paying more for the Bergara HMR Pro than the Widerness HMR?
The upgraded Barrel, action and trigger make it worth it for sure in my opinion. Both are great guns but for the marginal cost more it’s a hell of an upgrade
Do you have something extending the front of the scope? And on your links you have SWFA rings, but you said vortex rings, are they the same? Thank you
Thanks for the reply. It’s the sunshade that comes with the scope. Really only necessary when it’s really sunny out though. They are slightly different in how the top link is shaped but I actually like the SWFA rings more. They were just sold out when I got these and the vortex are essentially spot on as well.
@Freedom Crawler really appreciate it, I just got a bergara today and plan on building it up. Excited to take it to the range here in the springs.
The black flakes is probably causing the drag on your bolt, clean it good and give it a lite lubbing! Thanks for the great tip on the case!☆☆☆☆☆🗯
Thank you and you’re welcome. I’m going to give it a good clean and take it out
What size of timing nut fits the barrel for the muzzle brake? Did the aftermarket brake make a big difference?
Makes a much better pattern
What 20 moa rail mount do you recommend besides the Talley ?
I like weaver when I can use it. Anything made in USA is good to go I’ve found
Do you know where to buy the magazine for b-14 300 prc? I hope you could help me.
It takes the magnum caliber mags right? I had one and didn’t look at the mag well enough. Online should have them though
Every premier hang tag says it shoots .4408, exactly so…
Correct, I think it’s more of a standard or average. Still solid
Once you clean your action (Rifle) the action Will move Freely for you. Since you have the flakes on your rifle I know you haven't cleaned it.
Correct, was right out of the box
That gun is an Bergara premier HMR pro. It isnt an B14. Do it again, and do it right.
You’re not wrong but it doesn’t bother me enough to change it. We understand what I meant.
1978
You have a 1978?
@@FreedomCrawler Yamaha 400 Enduro electric start I got cut mid message
I want one ... just can't decide 308 or 6.5cm. my hunting rifle is a Tikka 7mm Mag and I haven't see 6.5cm on the shelves so unsure what to do,lol. If I could be guaranteed to find creedmor it would be a no brainer. So my gut is telling me 308....
@@BlkInc1 it’s never bad to have a .308 around. Great caliber and pretty much always ammo like the 30-06.
That being said I’ve been able to find 6.5 pretty easily again and would say it’s the better all around caliber out of the two.
@@BlkInc1 sportsman's warehouse has the 308 and 6.5 creedmore bergara hmr's on sale right now
Get a microphone
Sound could have been better for sure.
You'd have to be insane to spend big money on a Bergarbage product.
What issues did you have with your different ones? I’ve had 6 various ones that were spot on
@@FreedomCrawler I have a B-14 HMR in 308 that shoots "meh" 1 MOA 5-shot groups. That's $350 Wally World hunting rifle performance.
sounds like a Wally World crappy shooter !@@michaelhill6451
@@michaelhill6451 Likely operator error. Post up a video for us to see.
@@green461 It's definitely not operator error. I have a Tikka CTR that averages < 0.5 MOA 5-shot groups with just about every bullet I've tried in it. I don't think it has ever produced a 5-shot group 1 MOA or larger. In fact, just last weekend I took it out shooting and if I aggregate all 26 shots I took with it (based on the positions of all shots relative to the bullseye), I get a 26-shot group that is 2/3 MOA. I shot 7 3-shot groups and 1 5-shot group. The 3-shot groups averaged 0.37 MOA and the 5-shot group was 0.36 MOA. I can shoot a rifle.
