    How does the cover connect to the turn table? Is it just supposed to sit on it unsecured?

    This would be great with a direct -drive option.

    Why did you balance it the first time, if you’ll just have to balance it again when adjusting the tracking force?
    And shouldn’t adjust the tone arm after you make sure it’s leveled ?

    I am new to vinyl, I wanna know if it can be connected to a normal Bluetooth speaker via aux cable? I know it doesn't support Bluetooth, but I don't have other kinds of speakers other than a Bluetooth speaker with aux input.

      Hi there! Yes, the AT-LPW40WN may be connected via the analog output of the turntable to a LINE level input such as Aux in. If the speaker does not have an internal RIAA phono preamp, the preamp switch on the rear of the turntable should be set to LINE. The full set up of the turntable may be found here:

      I connected my LPW40WN to this speaker via aux cable, but the sound was very very low. I switched between phono and line option, no change.

    How is this compared to AT-LP3XBT in terms of longevity and sound performance?

    Why are there so few reviews of the sound of this turntable? I've just bought one and the Rt channel is dead.

    Anyone else have issues when using the line level setting. I tried it and sound only comes out of the right speaker.

      Hi there! This is typically the result of an imbalanced tonearm.
      Instructions to check this begin on page 6 of the AT-LPW40WN User Manual: tinyurl.com/2938enuc Thanks! - A-T USA

    Would anybody please let me know the correct size of the belt for the AT-LPW40WN turntable (in centimeters if possible)? I'd like to buy a replacement belt. Thanks in advance!

    • @AudioTechnicaUSA
      @AudioTechnicaUSA  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there! The replacement belts for the AT-LPW40WN measure (0.6mm thick x 4.6mm wide x 550mm long) and are available through our Parts Department at Parts@atus.com. Thanks! - A-T USA

    Hi, is it normal, that the plate is not rotating "horizontaly balanced"? My turntable is leveled and is doing the same as in 3:12 in the video. Do I need to make some adjustments to (for example) the belt?

    so i keep adjusting the balance and sometimes it seems like the record plays fine but after a while it just skips or jumps. doesnt matter if its a brand new record or an old one.

    Shouldn't you lower the tone arm lift lever when adjusting the counterweight? Otherwise it is difficult to determine when its just at its balance point since the UP position maintains it at a horizontal level.

    • @Badassvidsz
      @Badassvidsz 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      He did it right . the balancing was already done just the tracking force weight left to be done i didn't see any mistake

    Bought this today, and playing it through my mini hifi system. On the "LINE" setting the volume is considerably lower than the mini hifi system is capable of (much quieter than CDs played through it) and just not loud enough. (On "PHONO" it is almost inaudible.) Is there any way to increase the volume?

      It's a normal behaviour when playing analog that records are bit lower. If you don't have phono inputs in your amplifier you should connect to aux and switch to line.

  • @danielfeo8713

    Im trying to find some nice feet for this turntable, but can't find any that are high enough

    • @AudioTechnicaUSA
      @AudioTechnicaUSA  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! We do not currently have any other turntable feet options, but we suggest searching online for ‘turntable isolation pads’. These will absorb any shock as well as raising the turntable. Thank you! -A-T USA

    Stupid question, but I'm not having success finding the answer via google. This turntable is designed to stay on when the record is over until you turn it off? I thought maybe I had it calibrated wrong but according to this I'm good, so just making sure it's fine for it just to keep spinning on the inner, non-grooved part until I remember or realize I need to flip the record/turn it off?

    Simple question I hope you would answer it because I asked on Instagram and no one answered, I am considering to buy a turntable and I am a bit confused between this and the lp120xusb, I know both are your products but what would you recommend please

    • @AudioTechnicaUSA
      @AudioTechnicaUSA  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Hi Mohamed! The AT-LP120X is direct drive and the LPW40 is belt driven. The LP120 has some DJ features such as speed up and slow down. The LPW40 does not. The LP120 will play at 33.3 45 and 78 RPM. The LPW40 will play at 33.3 and 45 RPM. If you are just using it for causal listening, we would recommend you go for the AT-LPW40WN. Thanks! - A-T USA

      As long as you are following the video the crackling you're hearing is probably just due to dust in the grooves of your record. If you're new to vinyl that might be throwing you off. I would say with almost anything other than a minty record you are probably going to hear some surface noise at some point. Even the smallest bit of dust can cause cracks and pops, it's one of the charms of wax :^) You may also consider determining whether or not there is an issue with something in your output chain.
