This sister wasn't trying to make it about herself! She was genuinely trying to protect her sister from an obvious big mistake. Her mother was supportive in the wrong way! That was not kind of the mother at all. If you love your daughter, you try to protect her against her own mistakes. Like numerous others suggested: the sash could have been in or around the bouquet. Then it would have been a fun accessory instead of an overpowering eyesore.

Some can indeed be quite tasteful :) I made a custom one for my friend, and it had mostly white but with a piece of winter camo, and the corset back has a winter camo tie. I think that regular green camouflage can be a bit... much... but the white camo can go a long way without being overwhelming.

I think she looks great, the sash looks perfectly fine on the dress. It's just not the typical. But she looks so happy, and, cliche as it sounds, that really does make people look beautiful. And I don't think she'll regret it someday. It's something meaningful in her and her fiance's relationship, and it's something that makes the dress uniquely hers. I actually kinda love that.

As a little southern boy myself, I could definitely understand wanting camo on the dress. Unconventional and probably not the prettiest thing, but it obviously means a lot to her and I respect that
Same. I actually think when Monty said gingham that could have actually been really pretty and easier to work with while being country. But she also is still an athletic woodsy person, and Camo just immediately and strongly connects to those traits and I respect that if it's true to her she stuck with it.

I think there is a way to say you don't like without being rude but still remembering that it's her wedding, she is one that's gonna be wearing the wedding dress, she's the one who decided to use a belt, she's gonna be the one wearing it, not you.
